Calum

In the first Live Show we sadly said goodbye to Nelly Furtado and The Corrs, and now thirteen artists remain and continue on with Pop Fleet 26 on the World of Live Shows, ready to showcase their best ballads, because for Live Show Two the theme is The Ballads of a Broken-Hearted BuzzJack! Who will find Lady BuzzJack and win the grand prize of the £20 Amazon Gift Card? How it works: Once you've listened to all of the artists perform in Live Show Two, you should post your votes in this thread, ranking the performances from favourite to least favourite. Please post a list that states clearly which is your favourite down to least favourite, or use the below format: 01 (favourite) 02 03 04-10 11 12 13 (least favourite) For those voting that are competing in the Live Show, you must vote. Failure to vote by a competing artist will result in a 26 point deduction from your final score. As always, if you are not competing in The Pop Factor you are more than welcome to cast your vote too - whether you've been an observer from the beginning or your artist has been eliminated! And remember, that's not all... When voting closes, we'll cross over to the results show where TWO artists will be eliminated from the competition. The first - the artist with the least points - will be eliminated from the competition automatically. The remaining bottom two artists with the least points will then come face to face with our four judges once again: Commander Eye Sack, Le Jé d’Eleven, The Rogue Trader and Jimmy-Jam Watts. They will decide the artist that remains in the competition. Voting closes on Friday 3 April 2026, 17:59 BST So now, let's get Live Show Two: The Ballads of a Broken-Hearted BuzzJack going... IT'S TIME TO FACE THE BALLADS! 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 Standard list of entries: Florence + the Machine - Cosmic Love David Bowie - Five Years ROSALÍA - Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti HAIM - Gasoline Kelly Clarkson - Piece By Piece (Idol Version) Scissor Sisters - Mary Conan Gray - Forever With Me Lily Allen - Pussy Palace Delta Goodrem - Not Me, Not I ABBA - Chiquitita Troye Sivan feat. Emily did great, very happy for her Josh... bit of an underwhelming winner for the males considering he'd barely been there and kept seeming to progress further based on luck alone but oh well. Tyler continuing to boss Destruction was great!

The Season 2 post of the Encyclopedia has now been updated with the Live Shows table so you can all see how the rest of the competition is going to play out 😇

Any more ties and I would've just eliminated them all and brought Ruel back

Round 8: Live Show One Results

omg THIS I'm choking to actually give Kelly some high points

TOP 13 CONFIRM YOUR SONG CHOICE FOR LIVE SHOW TWO HERE! Your song must be a ballad. You have until 17:59 TOMORROW to confirm your song choice! For now, let's continue to celebrate danG and Paddington James

15 were mentored by... @Paddington James The Corrs in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - Breathless (2nd, 386 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - I Never Loved You Anyway (8th, 221 points) Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - So Young (K-Klass Remix) [7th, 167 points] Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - Hideaway (4th, 187 points) Round 5: Judges' Houses - Summer Sunshine (2nd, 195 points) Round 6: The Black Hole Battles - What Can I Do (Tin Tin Out Remix) [WIN] Round 7: The Scoop - N/A Round 8: Live Show One - Irresistible (15th, OUT) and... 14 was mentored by... @danG Nelly Furtado in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - I'm Like a Bird (2nd, 414 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Who Wants to Be Alone (with Tiësto) [10th, 188 points] Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - N/A Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - Wait For You (8th, 169 points) Round 5: Judges' Houses - Try (1st, 235 points) Round 6: The Black Hole Battles - Maneater (WIN) Round 7: The Scoop - N/A Round 8: Live Show One - Big Hoops (Bigger the Better) [14th, OUT] And at the end of the first Live Show, we - rather shockingly - say goodbye to Nelly Furtado and The Corrs. Both have enjoyed success at and near the top of the leaderboard over the weeks thanks to their brilliant mentoring from Dan and Paddington. Dan took some risks with Nelly Furtado, making sure we heard some dance entries and some lesser-known (or liked?) tracks from Nelly besides just the big hits, while Paddington took the chance to showcase a throwback dream with The Corrs by taking us right back to breezy feel-good pop. Perhaps with less risky song choices we could have seen Nelly contending for the win, but it has to be admired that Dan didn't play the game safe and certainly had people in his corner rooting for her all the way! The same can be said for Paddington and The Corrs who certainly have quite the quiet fanbase! Massive congratulations to both of you for making it this far and for bringing it week after week. Thank you

DEADLOCK Since our judging panel have failed to reach a majority verdict, we will now revert to the results of the public vote. I can now reveal... The artist with the fewest votes, and therefore eliminated from the competition... is... Which means Scissor Sisters, you are safe and through to Live Show Two. Nelly Furtado and The Corrs have fallen, and it's time to find out the identities of the mentors behind them that brought them this far

Finally, Jimmy-Jam Watts... Please tell me which artist you'd like to SAVE and keep in the competition. If you vote to save Scissor Sisters, they will go through and Nelly Furtado will be eliminated. If you vote to save Nelly Furtado, we will go to deadlock and the result will be decided by the earlier public vote. "A sticky situation... Let's bring the DRAMA, mama! I'm going to take it to deadlock and let the public decide. The artist I'm choosing to save is... NELLY FURTADO"

Welcome back to the panel, Rogue Trader! Please tell me the name of the artist you'd like to SAVE and keep in the competition. "A pleasure to be back. I'll cut to the chase because I've got some odd jobs to be getting on with. The artist I'd like to save is... SCISSOR SISTERS"

With one vote to save Scissor Sisters, Le Jé d'Eleven, please tell me the name of the artist you would like to SAVE and send through to Live Show Two... "I didn't think we'd be in this position to be honest... GET THE OLD MAN OUT!! But, the artist that I'd like to save is... NELLY FURTADO"

Please tell me the name of the artist you would like to SAVE and send through to Live Show Two... "Not an easy decision to make as both artists have been great. But with that said, the artist I'd like to save is... SCISSOR SISTERS"

All four judges will now deliver their verdict, stating which artist they would like to SAVE and keep in the competition, progressing to Live Show Two. In the event that the judges cannot reach a majority decision and the vote is deadlocked, we will revert to the public vote to decide the final result.

The final two artists... safe and through to Live Show Two... are... and... Which means that Nelly Furtado and Scissor Sisters, unfortunately you will now face our judging panel who will decide which artist to SAVE and keep in the competition, and which artist will be eliminated tonight!
