Calum

Was bopping along to all your choices every round so f*** the haters you did fab x Also apologies for the slow pace everybody, but just two lots of three left to reveal and then the final 15 will be able to start confirming their song choices for the first Live Show

16= was mentored by... @pavi Fred again.. in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - Marea (we’ve lost dancing) [with The Blessed Madonna] [8th, 243 points] Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Berwyn (all that i got is you) [10th, 208 points] Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Jungle (Rico Nasty Remix) [7th, 191 points] Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - Sabrina (i am a party) [8th, 150 points] Round 5: Judges' Houses - Strong (with Romy) [2nd, 186 points] Round 6: The Black Hole Battles - Don’t Judge Me (with FKA twigs & Headie One) [LOSE] Round 7: The Scoop - Lights Out (with Romy & HAAi) [Unsuccessful] and... 16= were mentored by... @dandy* Erasure in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - Drama! (10th, 243 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - So the Story Goes (9th, 193 points) Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Sometimes (5th, 202 points) Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - Sono Luminus (7th, 157 points) Round 5: Judges' Houses - Chorus (8th, 136 points) Round 6: The Black Hole Battles - A Little Respect (LOSE) Round 7: The Scoop - Rock Me Gently (Glen Nicholls & Nick Squires Remix) [Unsuccessful] and... 16= was mentored by... @!!! FKA twigs in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - ride the dragon (10th, 229 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Glass & Patron (5th, 230 points) Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Perfectly (1st, 195 points) Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - Kicks (6th, 200 points) Round 5: Judges' Houses - Stereo Boy (8th, 136 points) Round 6: The Black Hole Battles - Eusexua (LOSE) Round 7: The Scoop - Two Weeks (Unsuccessful) Another artist that seems to have perplexed people with the identity of their mentor, our Pavi was in fact behind Fred again.., and despite The Pop Detection Unit letting an artist of this nature through the cracks, Pav did a great job (I feel) of actually presenting Fred again.. as faithfully to the competition as possible, even relying on the likes of Romy for more than one song (!) to inject those female vocals into BuzzJack's veins. I think a job well done for you Pav all things considered. The same can be said for our other two artists here, FKA twigs and Erasure. Of course it was dandy* behind Erasure, and now confirmed to be the elusive holder of The Rebecca Ferguson Lobster of Resurrection. I did have dandy*'s express permission to make fun of him if he didn't use the lobster in time and was instead eliminated, but alas it was used and Erasure made it all the way to the battles where one of the most iconic songs of all time was pitted against... another of the most iconic songs of all time and sadly lost out. I'll be totally honest and say nobody has any idea how badly my eyes rolled to the back of my head when I saw FKA twigs had been chosen this season, but in the end !!! surprised us with some great tracks (even if for FKA twigs fans there were some curveball choices in there too). All three of you added something unique and brilliant to the competition this season, so thank you

25= was mentored by... @CowTzy LiSA in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - QUEEN (13th, 203 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Gurenge (紅蓮華) [6th, 216 points] Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Another Great Day!! (7th, 111 points) Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - TA, I, SE, TSU Pile up (た、い、せ、つ Pile up) [9th, 149 points] Round 5: Judges' Houses - Akeboshi (明け星) [9th, 133 points] Round 7: The Scoop - oath sign (Unsuccessful) and... 25= was mentored by... @RobBot Eric Saade in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - Made of Pop (10th, 205 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Every Minute (11th, 170 points) Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Hotter Than Fire (feat. DEV) [10th, 122 points] Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - It's Gonna Rain (3rd, 228 points) Round 5: Judges' Houses - Imagine (with Tone Damli) [9th, 137 points] Round 7: The Scoop - Popular (Unsuccessful) and... 25= were mentored by... @Herbs The Chicks in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - Goodbye Earl (13th, 143 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Not Ready to Make Nice (3rd, 281 points) Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Gaslighter (10th, 155 points) Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - Lullaby (9th, 126 points) Round 5: Judges' Houses - Julianna Calm Down (9th, 85 points) Round 7: The Scoop - Top of the World (Unsuccessful) And so we find out that, despite popular belief, it's not actually Iz behind LiSA but CowTzy! Honestly, I think CowTzy has done an absolutely incredible job in this competition defying the odds (as have all three artists in this section - some iconic underdog behaviour from all three). LiSA's bangers were just simply going unnoticed against the rest of the competition, but we still got to hear six fantastic songs from an artist that the majority of the site would otherwise probably never pay attention to. We turn to Rob then who felt like he was going to be gone at the first hurdle after failing to secure a solo female spot (no points for guessing who we'd have had in the competition instead x), but ended up having a serious underdog arc with Eric Saade, even coming third in the vote at one point with It's Gonna Rain. You did amazing here. And finally, Herbs is, of course, behind The Chicks. The Chicks had a bit of a rough journey through the competition almost always being towards the bottom of the leaderboard but had a moment in the sun with Not Ready to Make Nice, and stuck it out all the way to Judges' Houses and bowed out on a high with Top of the World, an apt title!

28= was mentored by... @vibe Toni Braxton in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - You Mean the World to Me (11th, 209 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - You're Makin' Me High (8th, 208 points) Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Hit the Freeway (feat. Loon) [6th, 123 points] Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - Sex & Cigarettes (10th, 121 points) Round 7: The Scoop - Un-Break My Heart (Unsuccessful) and... 28= was mentored by... @HarryGarfield Shawn Mendes in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - Teach Me How to Love (7th, 271 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Lost in Japan (Zedd Remix) [5th, 233 points] Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back (6th, 214 points) Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - Where Were You in the Morning? (10th, 118 points) Round 7: The Scoop - In My Blood (Unsuccessful) and... 28= were mentored by... @Ansel The 1975 in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - It's Not Living (If It's Not With You) [11th, 211 points] Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Love Me (10th, 147 points) Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - The Sound (9th, 159 points) Round 4: Boot Camp: Part Two - Pressure (Artful Remix) [10th, 119 points] Round 7: The Scoop - If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know) [Unsuccessful] Well, well, well... anybody that really thought I would have actually sent Where Were You in the Morning? here, you're all being sent to jail. But Harry, you're forgiven because you gave us life with In My Blood as Shawn's swansong in the competition. A strong showing for Harry managing to carry Shawn through four rounds before being given the boot by BuzzJack's unforgiving-to-twinks nature, so well done. Toni Braxton was mentored by vibe who made it all the way to the final in Season 1 with Mary J. Blige so it's a shame to see them not make it quite so far this time, especially when we were treated to Un-Break My Heart in the most recent round. And finally, Ansel... I fear you gave up towards the end given the barrage of abuse The 1975 were subject to throughout the competition, and honestly it was sad to see. Ansel made it all the way to Live Shows last season with CHVRCHES, but it seemed The 1975 were just too marmite to stick the landing this time. But I'm still intrigued to know who your dissertation was about if it was not actually The 1975... All three of you did amazing this season, so thank you

31= was mentored by... @seven. Nadia Oh in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - Hot Like Wow (12th, 205 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Taking Over the Dancefloor (11th, 108 points) Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Jump Out the Window (8th, 78 points) Round 7: The Scoop - N. A. D. I. A. O. H. (Unsuccessful) and... 31= was mentored by... @Juan Carlos Guitarricadelafuente in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - BABIECA! (11th, 188 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - midsummer pipe dream (with Troye Sivan) [9th, 215 points] Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Agua y Mezcal (11th, 116 points) Round 7: The Scoop - Abc (Unsuccessful) and... 31= were mentored by... @Addy! Ace of Base in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - All That She Wants (3rd, 344 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Beautiful Life (6th, 258 points) Round 3: Boot Camp: Part One - Cruel Summer (Big Bonus Mix) [11th, 136 points] Round 7: The Scoop - The Sign (Unsuccessful) A trio of artists where the mentors have (largely) managed to go undetected next! First up, let's address the elephant in the room... Addy was indeed behind Ace of Base after many denials having been caught almost immediately by many, but alas he stuck to his character and even started convincing me at points he was still in the competition! Unfortunately Ace of Base ended up leaving us before their time though as I'm told they have many more hits under their belt they could have attacked the competition with. Another artist with numerous identities, seven. was indeed behind Nadia Oh, the club legend herself who gave us bop after bop each round. A better result for seven. this season after departing earlier in Season 1 with solo male artist Lemon Demon. The public should have been eating Nadia up, quite frankly. And finally, Guitarricadelafuente, king of the Spanish twinks, was represented by none other than Juan Carlos. With, in comparison to the other solo male artists, a relatively unknown artist Juan did really well to make it this far and definitely introduced us to some more Spanish flavour alongside ROSALÍA. Well done to all of you and thank you

34= was mentored by... @uhsting Markus Riva in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - You Make Me So Crazy (13th, 147 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Forever (12th, 137 points) Round 7: The Scoop - Ja Pasaule Šonakt Apstāsies (Unsuccessful) and... 34= were mentored by... @Travis Girlicious in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - Like Me (12th, 153 points) Round 2: The Orbit Auditions - Over You (12th, 136 points) Round 7: The Scoop - Still in Love (feat. Sean Kingston) [Unsuccessful] uhsting was a gem and (I still can't decipher whether it was as a complete troll or not) decided to step in with a solo male artist at the eleventh hour to complete the lineup, and gave us a hunk in the category alongside some retro acts, twinks and others; managing to avoid elimination in Round 1 but ultimately Markus met his demise in Round 2. Meanwhile, I can only assume Travis lost interest after Girlicious never really found their footing in the competition, as well as not being able to go with a first-choice artist. Sadly for Girlicious they ended up with two songs chosen at random (The Orbit Auditions and The Scoop) and bow out now. But uhsting and Travis both added some unique spice to the competition with their artists

was mentored by... @matto As we know, Matto unfortunately decided to withdraw from The Pop Factor for personal reasons, but nonetheless there was a lot of love for Michelle in the competition and I'm sure that she could have made it at least a few rounds in had there been a chance to discover (or re-discover) some of her music! Michelle Branch in The Pop Factor: Season 2 Round 1: The Earth Auditions - Everywhere (5th, 319 points)

And with that, we have our FINAL FIFTEEN! congratulations to Lily Allen, ROSALÍA and Conan Gray! Now it's time to see if anybody predicted any of the mentors behind the eliminated artists correctly, and who'll be taking home some awards for their acting throughout the competition

And finally... The third artist... through to Live Shows... securing The Platinum Paije Rock of Hopes and Dreams... alongside Lily Allen and ROSALÍA... is...

The second artist... through to Live Shows... the second recipient of The Platinum Paije Rock of Hopes and Dreams... is... none other than...

The first artist through to Live Shows... With enough space debris... for The Platinum Paije Rock of Hopes and Dreams... is...

First up tonight we'll be revealing the three artists through to Live Shows, and then we'll be celebrating all of the eliminated artists and the mentors behind them that have all been absolutely amazing

Voting has now CLOSED and we have three winners of The Platinum Paije Rock of Hopes and Dreams, completing the final Live Shows lineup. And the identities of all the eliminated artists will be revealed TONIGHT!

The way these results have changed drastically in the last day or so by the way...

I'm so over Law Roach as a judge at this point. He was good when he first appeared, but now it's just saying complete nonsense (more often than not just downright mean instead of entertaining or at least constructive/helpful) to try and act like he's the master of snappy reads? Glad Discord's clapped back at him since

As much as I wasn't a fan of Jane's makeover and it was my least favourite of the night, genuinely what crack is Michelle smoking? 💀

We're waiting on 7 votes, and all 7 are from people with artists competing for the Platinum Paije! All of the top 12 have voted, queens Just over FOUR hours left!!

Kalum Thornton is up in this gig

I’ll quickly check who has voted and report back to ease your minds

A big week for The Pop Factor Ruel slaying with new music, Conan announcing new music, Kesha touring the UK, and one of our top 12 being cancelled again x

I've noticed that, they seem to be wheeling a lot of the events out that they didn't really utilise much in the first two series! Will be interesting to see if we get yet more new events next year if there's new ones on the upcoming US version they decide to adopt.

Taste!
