  1. Say what you want about me 0aEnnH6t8Ts 24. If U Seek Amy | 7.541 Highest Scores: 10: (Slayer, Nick F1, TimConArtist), Lowest Scores: 1: (Anita Hanjaab) #24 is If U Seek Amy, released in March 2009 as the 3rd single from Britney's 6th studio album Circus & was written and produced by Swedish producer Max Martin, who also wrote previous hits for her first three albums. The song was chosen for release by a poll on Britney's official website, involving 10 other songs from the album, where it won by 26% of the total votes. It caused some controversy in various countries because it sounds like "F-U-C-K me", which led to the Parents Television Council (PTC) threatening to file indecency complaints against any radio station that played the song during daytime. An edited version of the song titled "If U See Amy" was released in some regions, including in stations owned by Clear Channel Radio and Austereo. Upon release it was successful by reaching top 20 peaks in several countries such as Australia, France, Ireland, Canada, Sweden, Belgium, New Zealand, USA & in the UK. This is classic Max Martin songwriting territory - a long term driving force behind Britney's career that has delivered many, many classic hits, including this infectious bop with stomping beats, bubbling synths, catchy hooks, & one hell of a earworm chorus. At first glance the song title is seemingly nonsensical, until you discover that its a brilliantly disguised double entendre with clever wordplay throughout the lyrics especially as the chorus amps up the raunchy factor & just creates a very tongue in cheek good time. The combination of Max Martin & Britney Spears always delivers pop perfection when they step into a studio together & while this may not be quite up there with some of their legendary greats, its still a fun ride & a firm standout on 'Circus'.
  2. The fire comes in, the sky falls down etfJCm0nfr4 25. Make Me (ft G-Eazy) | 7.416 Highest Scores: 10: (Slayer, Nick F1, Tafty), Lowest Scores: 4.5/4: (One For Sorrow, pippa, Scene) We say goodbye to our first album era at #25 with Make Me, released in July 2016 as the lead single from Britney's 9th studio album Glory & features American rapper G-Eazy on backing vocals. Written by Britney, Matthew Burns, Joe Janiak and Gerald Gillum, while produced by Burns, with Mischke Butler serving as a vocal producer. The track's original title was "Make Me (Oooh)" & was due to be released in May 2016 with a scheduled performance at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, However, due to production difficulties, the track was reported to be delayed until the summer, with no release date being provided. The reason for the delay was due to Britney experimenting with different sounds on the track & the inclusion of the G-Eazy feature. Upon release it received generally positive critical reviews & peaked at #17 on the US Billboard charts, becoming her 20th top 20 hit & 34th chart entry. Elsewhere it saw moderate success by reaching top 20 peaks in France & Canada, & a top 40 peak in Australia. In the UK it became her lowest charting lead single by peaking at a mere #42. The first version of the song's music video was directed by David LaChapelle was shelved, due to claims that it simply didn't work. Instead a video directed by Randee St. Nicholas was released instead to an overwhelming negative response, a petition demanding RCA to release the original music video was created, and eventually it leaked in 2019 & since then LaChapelle has distanced himself from the project, claiming that it's not his video. The smoothest and most restrained lead single Britney has ever released with its mix of slinky R&B and mid-tempo pop with a twist of hip-hop due to G-Eazy's verse and its a decent effort, if a little too radio friendly safe. Although, the sparse verses are quite catchy with simple guitar riffs and cool echoing synths that builds to an effective chorus, with Britney's vocals sounding sensual and soulful, probably the best vocals she's sounded in years. However, I'm sad to say that the song lacks that special something to make it pop and feels way too subdued to stand out amongst the group & wasn't sufficient enough to make Britney into a relevant pop star again, that awful music video didn't help (which probably really hurt her streaming numbers). This simply lacks the fire of her previous lead singles & as for G-Eazy's verse, I mean WTF was he doing there, he adds nothing to song. There were far better tracks on the album than this such as 'Do You Wanna Come Over', 'Man On The Moon' or even the bonus tracks 'Mood Ring' or 'Liar', anyone of those could have fared better than this. Overall it's not terrible by any means, its a decent Britney by numbers song that's perhaps way to subtle for it's own good.
  3. The next to drop will be a lead single & the result may be SHOCKING?
  4. The rest of the entries will be in single posts, from 25-1.
  5. All I need is time, a moment that is mine IlV7RhT6zHs 27. I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman | 7.312 Highest Scores: 10: (Anita Hanjaab), Lowest Scores: 4: (Pandamic Tension, Scene) 26. Criminal | 7.326 Highest Scores: 10: (Slayer, Nick F1, TimConArtist), Lowest Scores: 4.5/4: (blacksquare, Mack) At #27 is Britney's coming of age ballad I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman, released in January 2002 as the 2nd single US & 3rd International single from Britney's third studio album Britney. Written and produced by Max Martin and Rami, with additional writing from Dido. Lyrically the song speaks about the angst and heartache of adolescence. Britney considered the song inspirational and one of her favourite songs to perform. Despite gaining positive reviews from critics it however, won the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Original Song due to the film that it was paired up with 'Crossroads'. Upon release it performed well worldwide with top 10 peaks in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Austria, & in the UK where it reached a #2 peak becoming the album's highest charting single there. In the USA it failed to chart on the Hot 100 by peaking at #102 on the Bubbling Under chart. This track forms an important part of Britney's narrative as she exits her teen years & matures into a young woman and what better way to showcase that than with this rather striking and soaring ballad that stands to this day as one of her finest ballads to date. The rousing piano melodies, gorgeous vocals, & a stunning yet very well executed chorus. A firm standout on Britney's self-titled 3rd album that had to be a single & thankfully it was, to this day I still love this track. Another mid-tempo ballad drops now at #26 with Criminal, released in September 2011 as the 4th and final single from Britney's 7th studio album Femme Fatale. Written and produced by Max Martin and Shellback, with additional writing by Tiffany Amber. Britney loved the song when she first heard it and felt it was different and unlike anything she had heard before. The song was chosen as a single by a poll on her Facebook page along with other choices being 'Inside Out' & '(Drop Dead) Beautiful'. Her reason for this was to give back to her fans. The accompanying music video caused controversy in the UK where it was criticized for promoting gun violence. Upon release the song received critical acclaim, but was a moderate success due to very minimal promotion, with no live performances on TV or even on her 'Femme Fatale Tour', to date the song has never been performed live. Worldwide it managed top 20 peaks in Canada & France, as well as top 40 peaks in Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium & Denmark. In the USA it managed to reach a #55 peak on the Top 100, becoming the album's lowest charting single. In 2020 a revival in interest for the song occurred when it went viral on TikTok, particularly with the "Mugshot Challenge". A more mature offering when compared to the other 'FF' singles considering its the only mid-tempo ballad on the album, making it one of her more expiermential releases to date with its folksy styled production, flute melodies & guitar driven beats that certainly makes this one of her most adventurous offerings to date, but the heavy use of autotune monotones the vocals to a point where it sounds like she's devoid of any emotion. This was a very bold single choice & glad Britney took a risk even if it didn't really pay off as well as it should have.
  6. Living in sin is the new thing T-sxSd1uwoU 29. "3" | 7.083 Highest Scores: 10: (Slayer, Nick F1, TimConArtist, Nick Jonas), Lowest Scores: 2.5: (Scene) 28. I Wanna Go | 7.187 Highest Scores: 10: (Nick F1, TimConArtist, Nick Jonas), Lowest Scores: 1: (Scene) At #29 and heading into the 7 averages now with "3", released in September 2009 as the only single from Britney's 2nd greatest hits album, The Singles Collection. Written and produced by Max Martin and Shellback, with additional writing from Tiffany Amber. Lyrically the song is about threesomes, while referencing American folk-singing trio Peter, Paul and Mary during the chorus as sexual slang. Upon release the song became a commercial success by topping the charts in Canada & USA, where it became her 3rd #1 hit there & broke many chart records by debuting at the top spot in its first week. Elsewhere it reached top 10 peaks in many countries worldwide including Australia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, & in the UK. Okay this is an odd way to celebrate a decade in the music industry with an ode to threesomes, but it did what it needed to do by sustaining her momentum and move forward into a new decade with Britney reteaming with Max Martin, which makes this a full circle moment. The song itself is a cute bop with spiky synth stabs, thumping beats, and punch production that keeps everything going at a fun pace. Although the one thing that bothers me about this is the heavily autotuned vocals which felt very much overused, nonetheless it is quite consistant with the electro sound, but I thought it could have done with less of it & used her real vocals a bit more. Not what I call a Britney classic by any means, a solid effort though and very of its time. #28 is I Wanna Go, released in June 2011 as the 3rd single from Britney's 7th studio album Femme Fatale. Written and produced by Max Martin and Shellback, with additional writing by Savan Kotecha. The song was chosen as a single after a poll was launched on her official website 'Britney.com' in which fans could choose the next single of the album, with this gaining the highest amount of votes. Upon release it became successful in some countries by hitting top 10 peaks in Canada, France, Finland and in the USA, where it became her first album to spawn 3 top 10 hits. Elsewhere it managed top 20 peaks in Belgium, Norway & Denmark/ However in the UK it became her first single to not chart inside the top 100 peaking at #111. Actually quite shocked that this became the first 'FF' single to drop out, however, the scores did slow down considerably during the 2nd half of the rate which caused its average to slump to this position. This track is simply a fun banger with its hard synths, throbbing beats, fun whistled melodies and a catchy chorus. Sure the processed vocals were a little overdone, but surely this deserved a better UK chart peak than #111. A fun club anthem through and through.
  7. Here's a reminder of what's left from each era = Baby One More Time - 4/5 Oops I Did It Again - 3/4 Britney - 3/7 In The Zone - 3/4 Blackout - 3/3 Circus - 3/4 Femme Fatale - 4/4 Britney Jean - 1/2 Glory - 1/5 Greatest Hits - 2/3 Collaborations/Other - 2/9 As you can see only 'Blackout' & 'Femme Fatale' are the only albums so far not to lose any of their singles, while both 'Britney Jean' & 'Glory' are in danger with only 1 left.

Do Somethin' | 6.958 Highest Scores: 10: (Slayer, Nick F1), Lowest Scores: 2: (Scene) #31 is Mood Ring, also known as Moon Ring (By Demand) is a song that originally appeared as a bonus track for the Japanese edition of Britney's 9th studio album Glory & was written by Dijon McFarlane, Nicholas Audino, Te Whiti Warbrick, Lewis Hughes, Jon Asher, and Melanie Fontana, along with production by DJ Mustard & Twice as Nice. The song was later included on the reissue of 'Glory' following a sudden resurgence in popularity of the album in 2020, nearly 4 years after the album's original release. It got released to radio in July 2020 as the album's 3rd single. Songwriters Jon Asher & Melanie Fontana composed the song on a piano under the name "Mood Swings", the duo rewrote it to an instrumental track that was later used for "Waterbed", which featured on The Chainsmokers EP "Bouquet" & was originally intended to be a potential collaboration between the artists, but the group turned it down, calling it too girly & eventually Britney recorded the track herself. This would have made a far better lead single than 'Make Me' (there I said it). This song is an absolute bop that somehow wasn't even included on the standard edition of 'Glory', but thankfully it did eventually get corrected. The hypnotic melodies & slinky beats creates a gorgeous soundscape over DJ Mustard's top notch production which makes this the SMASH hit that got away. At the #30 spot is Do Somethin', released in February 2005 as the 2nd & final single from Britney's first greatest hits album Greatest Hits: My Prerogative & was written and produced by Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg (known collectively as Bloodshy & Avant), with additional writing by Henrik Jonback and Angela Hunter. The song was never intended to be released as single; Britney, however wanted to shoot a music video for it & had to convince the record label. Upon release it became successful by reaching top 10 peaks in 14 countries including Australia, Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands, & in the UK. Although it wasn't given a release in the USA it did manage to peak at #100 on the US Billboard charts due to digital downloads. The usage of a Louis Vuitton dashboard in the video resulted in a lawsuit against Jive Records in late 2007, which ended with Louis Vuitton winning €80,000 in damages. The video was also banned in all European TV channels. A rather fun chaotic number with its electro/pop rock sound that would you a slight idea of the direction she would take with her next album. The frantic beats, fuzzy basslines, chanted verses, & spiky vocal delivery, which not only movies away from Britney's usual style, but gives the song a more spontaneous and improvised tone, making this one of her most interesting and curious singles in her back catalogue.
  10. Let's turn this dance floor into our own little nasty world s25OMP4Ww6Y 33. Overprotected (Darkchild Remix) | 6.869 Highest Scores: 11: (Slayer), 10: (Nick F1, Lukuzz), Lowest Scores: 4: (Pandamic Tension, Roba) 32. Boys (ft Pharrell Williams) | 6.895 Highest Scores: 10: (Slayer, Nick F1, ready for it, Nick Jonas, Mack), Lowest Scores: 2: (Scene) #33 is Overprotected (Darkchild Remix), which was remixed by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins for the song's American release. The original version featured on Britney's 3rd studio album Britney & was released as 2nd international single in December 2001, while the remixed version was released in the USA in April 2002 as the album's 3rd single there. The idea for the tracks R&B makeover came from Jive records who were hoping to try and gain favour with the urban market following the decline in the album's first 2 singles. Upon release the song peaked at a mere #86 on the US Billboard top 100, which made this only other charting single from the album over there, but it did manage to fare much better in Canada where it reached a #22 peak. I love original album version of this track, but this version I've never really liked as it removes everything that gave its original form so much punch and swagger. Even the catchiness is completely gone in this horrible watered down R&B version & call me old fashioned but in my opinion they just ruined a perfectly good pop song, stick to the original and skip this horrible mess. #32 is Boys, released in June 2002 as the 5th single from Britney's self-titled 3rd studio album Britney & was remixed for its single release under the title 'The Co-Ed Remix' and features guest vocals from Pharrell Williams. The new version also featured on the soundtrack to the 'Austin Powers: Goldmember' movie. Written and produced by Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams (known collectively as The Neptunes). The song was originally recorded by Janet Jackson who ended up passing on it before it was given to Britney. Upon release the song performed quite well worldwide by reaching top 10 peaks in Belgium, Ireland, and in the UK, as well as top 20 peaks in Australia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland & Denmark. However, in the USA it failed to make much impact by only appearing on the Bubbling Under Chart, where it peaked at #122. Now this remix version I do understand as it's original album version sounded like a lesser version of 'I'm A Slave 4 U' , but the 'Co-Ed' version has a more cooler and funkier edge to it, along with smoother production which helps give the minimalist R&B track a better flow. Even though the addition of Pharrell's vocals feel a little shoehorned in, that doesn't matter as its still a fun little number, even if it doesn't quite stand the test of time.

Scream & Shout (ft will.i.am) | 6.708 Highest Scores: 10: (Anita Hanjaab, Nick Jonas), Lowest Scores: -1: (Scene) 34. Radar | 6.729 Highest Scores: 10: (Slayer, Nick F1), Lowest Scores: -1: (Anita Hanjaab) #36 is Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know, released in March 2001 as the 4th & final single from Britney's 2nd album Oops I Did It Again. After meeting with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange in Switzerland, Britney recorded several songs for the album, including this track, which she considered one of her faves on the album & additional lyrics were written by guitar player Keith Scott and country pop singer Shania Twain. Upon release the song attained moderate commercial success by topping the Romanian charts, top 10 peaks in Austria & Switzerland, as well as top 20 peaks in several countries including Germany, Ireland, UK, Netherlands, Finland, & Norway. The track wasn't given a commercial release in the USA, and was sent only to mainstream radio in April 2001, where it failed to appear on any major music chart there. This certainly does bring an entirely different energy to Britney's preceding hits & while it was nice her willing to break from the successful tried and tested formula with this beautiful yet yearning ballad that features Britney singing in a lower vocal register & really pulling it effectively. However, this does fall rather short when compared to her previous stuff and especially given the writing talent involved as it does have a slight feeling of not their A material. Nonetheless it does showcase Britney as a talented vocalist. At #35 is Scream & Shout, by will.i.am featuring Britney Spears, released in November 2012 as the 2nd single from will.i.am's 4th studio album #willpower. The song was written by will.i.am, Jef Martens, Tulisa, Jean Baptiste and was produced by Martens under the alias Lazy Jay, with additional production by will.i.am. Upon release the track became a huge commercial success by topping the charts in 24 countries worldwide, including in the UK where it became Britney's 6th chart topper & first since 2004. Along with top 5 peaks in Australia, Czech Republic, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Sweden and in the USA. British singer Tulisa co-wrote the original version of the track then titled "I Don't Give a f***" & was intended for her debut album. However, producer Lazy Jay didn't want Tulisa to have the song and instead gave it to will.i.am, who re-wrote it with Britney in mind, despite Tulisa's vocals still being heard on the song, who in turn filed a lawsuit in 2012 and won it in 2018 entitling her to 10% of the song's royalties. In hind sight its hard to even say about this song given that those vocals aren't even Britney's, hell even at the time I felt that they didn't even sound like her & when did she become British all of sudden, well that was all down to the sad story behind Tulisa's involvement, which goes to show how cutthroat the industry can be. As for the song itself well its nothing special a serviceable club jam for its time, but has now aged like milk & just feels rather forgotten. At #34 is Radar, which originally featured on Britney's 5th studio album Blackout & was originally planned to be released as a single from that album, but the release was cancelled and was later included as a bonus track for her 6th studio album Circus where it finally got released in June 2009 as the 4th and final single. Written and produced by Bloodshy & Avant and the Clutch, with additional writing from Henrik Jonback; with recording sessions taking place the day after Britney filed for divorce from Kevin Federline. Upon release the track performed quite poorly on the charts worldwide with top 40 peaks in Ireland & New Zealand, but missing the top 40 in most countries including the UK where it peaked at a mere #46, her first ever release not to crack the top 20. I do think that this would have served quite well as 'Blackout' single, but as a 'Circus' single it didn't really work given that it didn't fit into that era at all and being tacked onto the end didn't help matters, making this an obvious contract obligation release. As for the song itself it's not half bad with its cool synths, high octane beats and bouncy electro grooves, which makes a simple yet fun little number that couldn't quite overcome its botched release and flop status.

Anticipating | 6.608 Highest Scores: 10: (Slayer), Lowest Scores: 3: (Pandamic Tension) #40 is Perfume, released in November 2013 as the 2nd & final single from Britney's 8th studio album Britney Jean. Written by Britney, Sia and Christopher Braide, while the song was produced by will.i.am and co-produced by Keith Harris and Braide. The song built around themes of jealousy and suspicion in a relationship. Spears revealed that the song was about her split with her ex-fiancé, Jason Trawick, in early 2013. The music video was directed by Joseph Kahn & he revealed that there's an unreleased directors cut of the video, where Britney's role in the video is actually an assassin hired to kill her boyfriend. Upon release the song performed weakly on the charts worldwide by peaking at #76 on the US Billboard charts & peaked within the top 70 in Australia, Canada, & Ireland. The raw emotion and tenderness is on full display here, but you can't help but feel that the song feels a little off-brand and something doesn't quite hit in the way that it should. All things considered I do think that this was a very misguided single choice & perhaps should have stayed on the album, or at the very least been released later after the far superior 'Alien'. #39 is Swimming In The Stars, released in December 2020 on the deluxe reissue edition of Britney's 9th studio album Glory as the album's 4th single to coincide with her 39th birthday. The song was conceived during the initial recording sessions for the album in 2015 by the producers Matthew Koma and Dan Book, with an additional writing provided by Alexei Misoul. The song along with the other new tracks came about following the #JusticeForGlory campaign that was launched by Britney's fans on social media during the Pandemic, then the singer unveiled a new cover art for the album on May 8, 2020, nearly four years after its release. Upon release the song didn't gain any substantial commercial success due to its lack of promotion and charted mainly on digital component charts in Canada, France, UK, and in the USA. I really wish that the new 'Glory' tracks gained proper promo with music videos to boot as this was a firm highlight with its sleek production, atmospheric synths , stunning vocals & gorgeous vocals, making this a somewhat lost gem in Britney's iconic discography. Another 'Glory' tracks drops at #38 with Slumber Party, released in November 2016 as the album's 2nd single and features vocals from American singer Tinashe in its remixed version. It was written by Mattias Larsson, Robin Fredriksson, Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, and produced by Mattman & Robin. The duo was also responsible for vocal production along with Mischke Butler. Britney's team commissioned several polls for different magazines to ask which song from the album should be the second single & this was eventually chosen. Upon release the song peaked at #86 on the US Billboard charts becoming Britney's 36th chart entry & Tinashe's 4th. Elsewhere it managed top 40 peaks in Hungary & Spain as well as minor peaks in Canada & France. This really deserved so much more than it got on its original release as this is a sexy, slow electro pop synth number with stellar production & a catchy chorus. Even the addition of Tinashe adds an extra layer of fun to this fun track. A firm underrate gem. At #37 is Anticipating, released in June 2002 as the 4th single from her 3rd studio album Britney, exclusively to France where it achieved minor success by reaching a #38 peak there. The song was written by Britney alongside the song's producers Brian Kierulf and Josh Schwartz. A fun bubbly carefree bop the exudes pure joy with its shimmering disco beats, gliding strings and an addictive earworm chorus. In my opinion this would have made a better single than 'I Love Rock N' Roll'.

Britney's version was released as the 4th European single from her 3rd studio album Britney in May 2002. The song was also used in her 2002 starring movie 'Crossroads' & has publicly stated that the original song is one of her favourites. She listened to the original Arrows Mickie Most-produced version just before she recorded the song, Britney mistakenly attributed the hit version of the song to Pat Benatar instead of Joan Jett. Upon release it performed moderately on the charts worldwide by reaching top 10 peaks in Hungary, Germany, Ireland & Austria, as well as top 20 peaks in Australia, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Finland, & Italy. While this cover version was a fun moment in the 'Crossroads' movie itself & that fun was carried over into the studio version as well, however, as a single it felt rather unnecessary, despite this Britney does a decent job with this version as her vocals are good & the production is okay, but other than that to this day it stands as one of Britney's least fondly remembered singles. At #44 is the first tie-breaker with Someday (I Will Understand), released in August 2005 as the sole single from Britney's first extended play Britney & Kevin: Chaotic& was was written by Britney herself and produced by Guy Sigsworth. She wrote the song two weeks before knowing she was pregnant with her first child, Sean Preston Federline. Upon release it wasn't given a UK or USA release, instead it was given a limited worldwide release where it became quite successful by reaching top 10 peaks in Denmark, Sweden & Switzerland, as well as charting in several other Europeon countries. While it never became a career defining song for Britney, its still an interesting and personal offering from her back catalogue, with its stunning stripped back production and very sincere vocals. Not one of Britney's best by any means, but it does have a nice sentiment to it. At #43 & scoring the same as the previous entry, but placed higher due to it having more high scores is another Britney tear-jerking ballad From The Bottom of My Broken Heart, released in December 1999 as the 5th and final single from Britney's debut album Baby One More Time & was written and produced by Eric Foster White. Upon release this song was chosen as the final single for the American & Australian market, while 'Born To Make You Happy' was released as the album's final single in Europe. The track achieved moderate success by reaching a #14 peak in the USA, which was it's highest chart peak, then managed top 40 peaks in Australia, Canada & New Zealand. This is a nice slow toe tapping ballad with gentle guitar beats, nice breezy production, and Britney's engaging heartfelt performance is what really sells this track from becoming yet another forgettable 90's teen pop ballad. Yes this was a minor mishap on the record label's front by choosing this over the far superior 'Born To Make You Happy' for the American market, but at least it didn't do any damage to her career, as she would continue to soar after this for many, many years. Heading into the 6 averages now with Tom's Diner in at #42. Originally sung by Suzanne Vega in 1987, record producer Giorgio Moroder covered this track featuring vocals by Britney Spears for his 14th studio album Deja Vu & was released as the 4th and final single from that project in October 2015.Despite being a non-single track at that time, it became Moroder's best-selling digital song to date, debuting and peaking at number 38 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Songs chart, and number fourteen on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Digital Songs chart, during the album's release. Moroder's stomping beats and dramatic strings really compliments Britney's vocals quite well & makes this one of her most intruiging recordings of her career. Maybe if this got more mainstream attention then it would have been more remembered and more popular. Rounding off this bunch is the first of many Britney chart toppers to feature here with S&M (Remix). Released in January 2011 as a Rihanna solo track first as the 3rd single from her mammoth 5th studio album Loud & after it reached #2 on the US Billboard charts, a remix featuring Britney was released & with the combined sales of the solo version, it became Rihanna's 10th & Britney's 5th #1 hit on the chart. The song's new guest verses was written by Britney herself. The best version of this track is the Rihanna solo version. The remixed version featuring Britney herself felt very rushed with overly processed vocals that sounded jarringly out of place. At least there was that iconic performance at the Billboard Awards featuring both artists.

Outrageous | 5.583 Highest Scores: 9: (Nick Jonas), Lowest Scores: -1: (TimConArtist) Kicking off this countdown at #50 is Britney's most recent(ish) offering Mind Your Business, released through Epic Records in July 2023 alongside American rapper/singer will.i.am, which makes this their 4th collaboration following "Big Fat Bass" (2011), "Scream & Shout" (2012), and "It Should Be Easy" (2013). The song was recorded many years ago and upon its release it received mostly negative reviews from critics and fans. Was there really any other contender for the bottom placement on here given its paltry average of 1.9 thanks to its multiple bad scores and all around awful reception. The song is BAD plain and simple, its dated, flat and just creates an unpleasant listening experience, this should have never seen the light of day and stayed locked away in the vaults and throw away the key. #49 is Ooh La La, released in June 2013 for the soundtrack to the 'Smurfs 2' soundtrack. The song was intended to become Lola Blanc's debut single who was one of the song's many co-writers as it was a play on her name. However, upon the request of producer Dr. Luke, a deal was made in which Britney was allowed to record the track. He collaborated with additional writers to rewrite some lyrics into a more child-friendly nature. Upon release the song wasn't a big success by reaching a top 40 peak in Canada & hit minor peaks in Japan, USA, Italy, UK, France, & Germany. Not the worst thing Britney's ever recorded, but she deserves better than this awful sickly sweet boring soundtrack fodder to an awful kids movie. #48 is the misguided Pretty Girls which features Australian rapper Iggy Azalea & was released as a standalone single in May 2015. The song was originally intended to be included on Iggy's then upcoming 2nd studio album, but was ultimately scrapped when she decided to go in another direction. Upon release it received mixed to positive reviews & became a moderate commercial success by hitting top 20 peaks in UK, Canada, Hungary, & South Korea as well as top 30 peaks in the USA, France, & Australia. In a Twitter Q&A with fans in the following month, Azalea expressed her desire to have done additional promotion and television performances to support the song commercially. Not only was this a jarring rehash of Iggy's own hit 'Fancy', but it also failed attempt at trying to keep Britney relevant in the digital age. It's easy to see why this didn't connect as its lacking that certain special something & the fact that Iggy was only a big name in 2014, & this came out in 2015, a year too late. #47 is Matches, which features American boyband Backstreet Boys & featured on the deluxe reissue of Britney's 9th studio album Glory, where it was released in December 2020 as the 5th and final single overall. The song was originally intended for the group's 9th studio album DNA, but it was left off the final tracklisting and was later repurposed to be a collaboration with Britney. The track was produced by Michael Wise and Ian Kirkpatrick and co-written by Asia Whiteacre and Justin Tranter. A fun little throwback bop, but honestly expected something better considering its Britney Spears & Backstreet Boys collaborating together, its very short and feels very stitched together, you can see why this was left on the cutting room floor. The final song of this batch at #46 is Outrageous, released in July 2004 as the 4th & final single from Britney's 4th studio album In The Zone & was written and produced by R. Kelly, with vocal production provided by Trixster and Penelope Magnet. The song was the record label's choice for first or second single, but Britney pushed for "Me Against the Music" and "Toxic" respectively, to be released instead. It was finally announced as a single after it was selected as the theme song for the 2004 film Catwoman. The music video ended up being scrapped as well as remainder of The Onyx Hotel Tour and the feature in the Catwoman soundtrack due to Britney's knee injury. Not as fondly remembered as the other fantastic singles from this era, probably due to it being seen as cursed due to Britney's knee injury which cancelled all future plans , namely the fan-favourite 'Breathe On Me' being lined up as a future single. Other than that though this song just isn't all that great and feels very dated and forgettable, despite some funky banging beats. It just wasn't a great single choice overall and there were far better tracks that could have taken it's place.
