Sophie Ellis-Bextor: Singles Rate (2026) Results
I'm at the mercy of the rush #24. Vertigo - 7.562 Highest Scores: 8/8.5: (Paddington James, Jessie Where, ...readyforit, JosephStyles, HarryGarfield, AllStarBySmashMouth, Liam.k), Lowest Scores: 6.5: (Viper, Jade, dandy) At #24 is the highest ranking song not to get a score over 8, 'Vertigo', released in April 2025 as the 3rd single from Sophie's 8th studio album 'Perimenopop' and peaked at #81 on the UK download charts and at #84 on the UK singles sales chart. The song was written by Sophie herself alongside Hannah Robinson, and James Greenwood, with the latter serving as the producer of the song, with additional production of Richard Jones. Another strong single choice from the album (the gift that just kept on giving), a smooth electropop disco track with intense beats and fabulous energy. A great song nothing more, nothing less. Quite surprised that it got this high without any scores higher than an 8, but it didn't really get any low scores either. #23. Starlight - 7.562 Highest Scores: 10: (Jessie Where), Lowest Scores: 4: (dandy) At #23 is 'Starlight' which scored the same as #24 but placed higher due to it getting a high score of 10. Released in June 2011 as the overall 6th and final single from her 4th studio album 'Make A Scene' and didn't exactly set the charts alight by only manging to chart on the UK Indie chart and Italian airplay charts. The song also served as the lead single in Australia and Italy in September 2011 and was her first single as an independent artist with her label EBGB's. A wistful and vibrant dance pop number that compliments her vocal style rather well and feels very similar to her other hit 'Bittersweet' which is from the same album, but not quite as flashy or memorable.

Least Fave Lady Gaga Single Round 3
The Dead Dance gets my vote now, such a disappointment considering the gems she had on 'Mayhem' that could have been released instead of this. Hell even 'Zombieboy' & 'Kill For Love' would have been better Halloween themed songs than these.

Nothing on my mind except a cool drink #25. Dolce Vita - 7.531 Highest Scores: 10: (Scene), Lowest Scores: 5: (Viper) At #25 is 'Dolce Vita', released in July 2025 as the 5th single from Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 8th studio album 'Perimenopop' and was written by Sophie herself alongside Samuel Robert Knowles, Ron Tyson, Norman Harris, Allan Wayne Felder, David Arnold, Clementine Douglas, and Baz Kaye. A smooth and vibrant little bop with breezy synths and stunning strings. Once again Sophie delivers another banger from her most recent studio album.

Least Fave Lady Gaga Single Round 3
Welcome Buzzjack to Round 3 of the Lady Gaga least fave single poll and dropping out in 30th place is Joanne the title track from Lady Gaga's 5th studio album. Inspired by the singer's late aunt, Joanne Germanotta, the song became a focal point for the musical direction of the album. Gaga intended the song to have a healing effect for those dealing with loss and pain. The song gained 5 votes in the last round and never normally lasts very long in these polls either. 'I'll Never Love Again', 'Stupid Love', 'Die With A Smile' & 'The Dead Dance' each gained 2 votes each. While 'Judas', 'Do What U Want' & 'G.U.Y', each gained 1 vote each. There's 29 songs left here. Same rules apply just vote for your least fave from the poll above & the song with the most votes will be gone by 16/03/26. Results 30th. Joanne - 5/33% 31st. Eh. Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) - 6/13% 32nd. Hold My Hand - 7/15% 33rd. Til It Happens To You - 16/35%

Do you want to hear what's in my head? #27. Runaway Daydreamer - 7.312 Highest Scores: 11: (Paddington James), Lowest Scores: 5/5.5: (Josh, Jester) 'Runaway Daydreamer' lands at #27 here which manages the rare feat of getting an 11 score and no 10's, it did get quite a few high scores, but was brought down the ranking by a few 5's and 6's. Released in March 2014 as the 2nd single from Sophie's 5th studio album 'Wanderlust'. Composed by Ed Harcourt with additional writing by Sophie herself and was written in a way resemblant of nursery rhymes. A beautiful dreamy chamber pop track that has a nice fairytale like tone to it. Sophie delicate vocals sound polished on here, perhaps this felt a little too similar to the lead single 'Young Blood' for it to fully stand out, but a well accomplished little track nonetheless. #26. Breaking The Circle - 7.531 Highest Scores: 10: (Mango), Lowest Scores: 5: (Jessie Where, Jester) This actually had the same score as the song that will drop at #25, but placed lower due to the other song getting more high scores. At #26 is 'Breaking The Circle', released in February 2023 as the lead single from Sophie's 7th studio album 'Hana' and is the last from the standard edition of that album to feature here. A stunning synth heavy indie pop track with solid vocals, upbeat rhythms and a euphoric tone. It's a broad yet intimate little number that really resonates with you. Hoped that this would have gotten a little higher on here, a underrated gem in her discography for sure.

Scream 7 | 27th February 2026
Just saw it and was highly disappointed. This is easily the worst in the franchise and don't feel like there's anywhere for this series to go next. A 5/10 for me, I have been a massive fan of the 'Scream' films since the first one & enjoyed them all apart from this one. When a franchise starts using (I won't spoil it here), a certain element, then you can tell they have run out of ideas. My ranking of the Scream Franchise Scream - 10/10 Scream 2 - 9/10 Scream 6 - 9/10 Scream 5 - 8/10 Scream 4 - 8/10 Scream 3 - 7/10 Scream 7 - 5/10

Desire swallows up my pride #29. Can't Fight This Feeling (ft Junior Caldera) - 7.233 Highest Scores: 9: (Liam.k.), Lowest Scores: 4: (dandy) At #29 is 'Can't Fight This Feeling' a collaboration between French disc jockey Junior Caldera & Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Released in 2010 as the 4th single from Junior's debut album 'Debut' and was also the 2nd single from Sophie's 4th studio album 'Make A Scene'. The single was released in France prior to the release of Sophie's follow-up single 'Bittersweet'. The song charted quite well in some countries by reaching top 20 peaks in France, Latvia & Poland as well as topping various airplay charts worldwide. A cute high energy disco dance track that felt rather dated by the time 'Make A Scene' was finally released in 2011. It's fine but not one of my faves. #28. Stay On Me - 7.281 Highest Scores: 9/9.5: (Josh, Scene), Lowest Scores: 5: (dandy, Jester) At #28 is 'Stay On Me', released in September 2025 as the 6th and final single from Sophie's 8th studio album 'Perimenopop' and was written by Sophie herself, Selena Gomez, Caroline Ailin, Julia Michaels and Thomas Hull with production handled by Hull himself also and additional production by Richard Jones and uncredited backing vocals by Selena Gomez. Originally the song was a lot more flirty, but instead she wanted it to ring true to her life and made it about the beauty of a long romance after her 20th wedding anniversary to Richard Jones. A solid little bop, slick and smooth production, crisp vocals and catchy hooks. A strong standout moment on the album and glad that its done pretty well on here with a solid average.

It's a karaoke climate and we all sing the same f***in' song #32. Move This Mountain - 7.031 Highest Scores: 9.5: (Jade), Lowest Scores: 5: (Mango, dandy) At #32 is one of Sophie's earliest numbers 'Move This Mountain', which was released as a double a-side single alongside 'Get Over You' in June 2002 as the 3rd single from her debut album 'Read My Lips'. In most countries 'GOY' received a solo release, but in the UK, the two tracks were issued together. This song featured on the album's original release while the other featured on the re-release. Releasing both of these tracks together was a pretty smart move as they showed the two extremes of the album, but sadly this was one that got more or less ignored in terms of airplay and promotion. This is a stunning and rather experimental little melancholic synthpop ballad that leans towards her indie pop roots. A nice little track but perhaps doesn't quite stand out against its showier counterpart. #31. Crystalise - 7.066 Highest Scores: 10: (Nina West), Lowest Scores:6: (Jessie Where, Viper, JosephStyles, Jade, HarryGarfield) At #31 is 'Crystalise', released in October 2016 as the 2nd single from her 6th studio album 'Familia'. A stunning and tender piano led ballad that showcases Sophie's vocal maturity and depth perfectly. Elegant and polished this not only a firm standout on the album, but its one of my personal faves in Sophie's extensive and brilliant discography. #30. A Pessimist Is Never Disappointed (theaudience) - 7.178 Highest Scores: 9: (gooddelta), Lowest Scores: 5.5: (Josh) At the #30 is the final single from 'theaudience' to feature here with what is arguably their most popular single 'A Pessimist Is Never Disappointed', released in May 1998 as the 3rd single from their debut self-titled album and #27 on the UK singles chart, becoming their first top 40 hit. This is easily their most commercially appealing and seductive song to date. It probably helped that the song had a limited edition vinyl record available upon its release. The song was performed by Sophie on her 'Read My Lips' solo tour in 2002 and was re-recorded with orchestral arrangement for her greatest hits compilation 'The Song Diaries' in 2019.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor: Singles Rate (2026) Results
Flies caught in a secret web she's spun #36. Love Is A Camera - 6.718 Highest Scores: 10: (Paddington James), Lowest Scores: 4: (Jester) At #36 is 'Love Is A Camera', released in June 2014 as the 3rd single from her 5th Studio album 'Wanderlust'. The song was serviced to hot adult contemporary radio stations and Sophie co-wrote it with Ed Harcourt who also produced the track. Its lyrics recount the story of a woman who takes photos of her victims and keeps their souls in the pictures. This is an elegant little number that combines elements of tango and waltz music with beautifully descriptive lyrics that captures a clear and vivid tone of the song. However, the song lacks energy and variety, but its well produced though. #35. Immortal (with Lufthaus) - 6.766 Highest Scores: 10: (Liam.k), Lowest Scores: 4: (Jester) At #35 is a 2024 collaboration effort between Sophie & Robbie Williams as apart of the Electronic trio Lufthaus consisting of Robbie himself alongside Australian producers Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis. The song featured on their debut album together 'Visions, Vol.1'. A moody trance leaning track that merges deep electronica. An interesting addition to Sophie's discography but not entirely an essential one. #34. Everything Is Sweet - 6.781 Highest Scores: 9.5: (Josh), Lowest Scores: 4: (Jessie Where, Jade) At #34 is 'Everything Is Sweet', released in March 2023 as the 2nd single from her 7th studio album 'Hana'. A nice little synthpop track that blends disco soul with a fantasy utopia theme and a passionate chorus that captures that feeling of escapism and romance. #33. Lost In The Sunshine - 7.0 Highest Scores: 9.5: (Josh), Lowest Scores: 5/5.5: (Jade, dandy, Jester) Another 'Hana' track drops with 'Lost In The Sunshine' which was released as the album's 3rd and final single. An uplifting and breezy little track that was inspired by a trip to Japan. A gorgeous little track with clean production and solid vocals that captures the dreamlike vibe of the track perfectly.
