Willow Pill won the 14th season of Drag Race & showed an immense amount of vulnerability in disclosures on air about their physical health and gender identity. Willow became an instant fan fave on their season, she was funny, could act, and never struggled with the choreo - a skill that has taken out some of the best - and she never, ever fell short on the runway. 'Nothing Really Matters' is another fantastic track & so glad it did so well here in the UK, instead of the botched release it got in the USA which caused it to peak at a dismal #93.

'Skin' is such a stunning track & it was considered as a possible single release (even though it was never confirmed), but 'Beautiful Stranger' came along. Also of note there was a pretty big gap between releases in the USA as 'Drowned World' wasn't released there. 'Ray of Light' single was released there in April & 'The Power of Good-Bye' didn't come out until October, so they've easily could have slotted this in between those.

Jamelia was a big star during the 2000's, she has released 3 studio albums which have collectively spawned 8 UK Top 10 Hits. In addition, Jamelia has won four MOBO Awards, a Q Award and has received nine BRIT Award nominations. She had quite a successful during the early to mid 00's, but she quit her music career & became a successful TV personality. I got the idea to do this after the 'where are they now' post in this forum & decided to take a look back at Jamelia's wonderful if rather short discography & I urge you guys to do the same. Welcome to Round 7 of 'Drag Race Winners Survivor' & after a very close battle Yvie Oddly becomes the latest Queen to drop with 9 votes, just 1 vote ahead of Willow Pill. Yvie Oddly won the 11th season of RuPaul's Drag Race back in 2019 with 1 maxi challenge win & although she didn't have the strongest track record on that season Yvie created her own niche during season 11 with a specifically weird point of view especially on the runway. She left a lasting impression on the main stage with contortions, flips and tricks that no other queen dare attempt during a lip sync. Yvie came back again for 'All-Stars 7' (the all winners season) where viewers got see her shine even brighter. Willow Pill scored the 2nd highest amount of votes with 8 which could make her a contender for going in this round. Symone scored 3 votes & then finally Jaida Essence Hall scored a single vote. 'When I Said Goodbye' not one of my fave Steps songs or singles, but I wouldn't rank it as one of their worst either, Back then it was basically an obligation for every pop act to release at least one ballad per album campaign & from their 2nd album 'Steptacular' this was probably the best choice or maybe 'Since You Took Your Love Away'. But this one is beautifully arranged & does give them a mature sound. Having this released as a double a-side along with 'Summer of Love' was the smart choice though, as I doubt this would have done half as well without it. I remember this being showcased on their 'Next Step Live' tour, before 'Steptacular' was released along with 'Deeper Shade of Blue' & knew that these 2 would end up being singles. 'I Think It's Love' & 'Since You Took Your Love Away' were also on there, but they were solos.
