  1. Here's my track by track review of Emma Bunton's 3rd studio album Life in Mono 01. All I Need to Know - 8/10 A nice and tender start to the album with this beautifully ballad. Opening with soft piano lines with Emma’s warm and rich vocals soon coming into the mix. As the chorus builds, so does the guitars and orchestra which blends into a lovely lullaby feeling. This is a classy song, but perhaps a bit too sweet for a single release as it tanked. 02. Life in Mono - 6/10 The title track originally sung by English trip-hop duo Mono in 1996. The song has a stunning mysterious feel to it with its cinematic production, but the vocals feel a little lost in the grand mix of the production. 03. Mischievous - 8/10 Things thankfully becomes more upbeat with this catchy bossa nova number that suits Emma’s vocals perfectly making them feel effortless weaving amongst the orchestral flourishes. The song is light, airy, and fun. 04. Perfect Strangers - 7/10 Another nice bossa nova 60’s sounding track with some nice sweeping strings and nice vocals. 05. He Loves Me Not - 7/10 There’s some nice Samba arrangements here with gentle bossa nova beats and some nice playful vocal melodies. The vocal harmonies blend into the orchestra nicely, but to be honest so far all of these tracks seems to blend together into one without much difference. 06. I Wasn’t Looking (When I Found Love) - 8/10 Finally, this album’s starting to offer some variety with some synths, acoustic guitars and light percussion alongside some nice breathy vocal harmonies. 07. Take Me to Another Town - 9/10 Easily the best offering so far with its catchy melodies, foot-tapping beats, and some cool growling guitars. Emma’s vocals sounds great amongst the light production. This could have worked as a single, although with a slight remix to give it more of an edge. 08. Undressing You - 8/10 Taking a more seductive turn now with this sultry little number with slower beats, wandering basslines and dramatic strings. This is a fun little number. 09. I’m Not Crying Over Yesterdays - 5/10 This is a gentle little number that just wafts along with strings, gentle percussive beats and soft vocals. Not a very interesting track. 10. All That You’ll Be - 6/10 A little bit more interesting than the track before it with stronger vocals and a more uplifting orchestra, but the song kinda just plods along. 11. Downtown - 9/10 The lead single and the big hit of the album, strange that’s its only on the bonus edition as its easily one of the strongest numbers on here. The track was originally sung by Petula Clark and Emma’s version stays faithful to the original, only adding more percussion which does give it an extra kick. 12. Something Tells Me (Something’s Going to Happen) - 7/10 Another cover and here Emma does a decent job with this Cilla Black number and giving it a more bossa nova feel and the vocals sound great on this upbeat number. 13. Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps - 4/10 This has been covered to death by several artists through the decades and sadly this does nothing new with it and overall, just sounds flat and uninspired. This should have been left on the cutting room floor or b-side material at best. 14. Por Favour - 6/10 Thankfully we’re at the end of this album with yet another cover this time by Billy May and his Orchestra, this shuffles along nicely with a nice romantic feel to it, but again this album filler at best and not really needed. Overall Rating: 7.0

  4. Ru Paul’s Drag Race superstars Bob the Drag Queen and Monet X Change are getting a unique makeover that will see them transformed into yellow cartoon characters on The Simpsons. They’re both celebrated alums of the showstopping franchise, after Bob won the eighth season of the US series and Monet came sixth on the 10th season and then going onto win All Stars 4. The drag sisters debuted the podcast Sibling Rivalry in 2018 and have worked together on not only their acts, but a single called Soak It Up, which was released in 2018. News of their inclusion on the long-running animated series was announced by The Simpsons writer Carolyn Omine, who gave a first look at how they will appear in the episode. Posting on Twitter, she shared images of their two characters, writing: ‘What are you doing New Year’s Day? I’ll be live-tweeting and watching Bob the Drag Queen and Monet X Change on an all-new episode of The Simpsons’. Sharing the post, Bob wrote that it was ‘a huge moment’ for her. ‘So glad that I could do this with my best friend,’ she added.
  5. RuPaul’s Drag Race alumni Eureka O’Hara has come out as a transgender woman after struggling with her gender identity for years. The American drag queen first appeared in the ninth season of the franchise back in 2017, but had to be sent home after suffering a knee injury. She was brought back the following year, eventually placing as runner-up. Since then, she has also competed on Drag Race All Stars and the Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular. Eureka, 31, has now opened up on discovering who she is ‘without question’. ‘I’m blessed now,’ she told People. 7. I did NOT see that coming, thought that either Mistress or Sasha would have got the win, but Aura that was interesting, she was great the in challenge & did deserve a top 3 placement, but personally I would have given it to Mistress or Sasha. Although its nice to see Aura finally getting some love as I predicted that she be out in this episode (until the performance of course). The first 2 groups were clearly the strongest, 'Banjo Bitches' with all 4 of them giving strong performances with Mistress being the clear standout, but the 'Rockin' Old G's' were the best ones with Sasha & Aura smashing it. But the 'Ol' Dirty Bitches' were the worst & thought that Anetra would have been bottom 2. Not surprised that Jax was in the bottom as she's been low a few times & really needs to step it up, but in that lipsync she was amazing. When they said to Robin that she'd been playing it safe I did agree & thought they would have given her a lifeline, however she had her chance to shine in that lipsync, but again she played it way too safe & didn't show much emotion in her face and yeah it was her time to go. Overall a pretty good episode.
  8. Gonna do a review of this album very soon, so stay tuned. Also I've done reviews for 'Spice', 'Schizophonic', 'Free Me', 'Victoria Beckham' & 'Northern Star' they're in their respective threads if u wanna check them out.
  9. I must admit when the news broke that Kylie was going Country, I had very mixed feelings, but after hearing 'Dancing' I was fully on board. This was the killer lead single choice & gained a renewed popularity after the 'KMO' era nearly damaged her career. If this came out in 2014 instead of her signing to RocNation, then this could have easily been a top 10 hit.
  10. Classic Kylie, always loved this even when it was unfairly ridiculed for many years, but glad it got some love when she made her mammoth comeback in the 2000's. Whether you like it or not everything we know and love about Kylie can be traced back to this track.

  13. Cheddar Gorgeous - Cheddar was one of my fave Queens from UK4, I like they're style and intelligence with their drag. Shame that Cheddar didn't have much of a storyline for this not so great season, but was always a joy to watch. Victoria Scone - Think we all knew that she had the potential to do great things on Drag Race, on S3 she showed promise & on CVTW she delivered with 3 wins & no bottoms. Janey Jacke - Deserved to be on a better season than that dire trainwreck UKVTW. At least she did manage to shine with 2 wins. Sminty Drop - I really liked this queen even if the edit she got was a bit confusing, she seemed to be the vocal point for most of the episodes she was, which makes you think that she could be there until the end or at the very least make it really far. Well anyway once Sminty and Baby were gone the series nosedived. Bosco - I liked this queen, but didn't feel a connection to her dunno why. Giselle Lullaby - Despite winning the show, again this is another queen I didn't feel much of a connection towards her, giving that the first couple of episodes she was barely at the forefront & then all of sudden getting 2 wins out of nowhere, I mean wow. She did have some interesting looks, but she wasn't my pick for the winner that would go to Miss Fiercealicious. Yuri Guaii - One of the faves from DUS2, her cool demeanor of being shy & quiet out of drag and then killing the runways with her excellent looks. Her elimination was shocking as she won that lipsync against Molly who was barely a presence on the show, Yuri SHOULD have made the top 4 at the very least.

  19. Hannah Conda - I liked this queen and was an obvious contender from the very start. Although I do feel for her given her robotic edit in which she said a lot of her volleys with Ru were cut out, but anyway her and Spanky dominated the far better season 2 of 'DRDU', so there's hope for this series yet. Shea Coulee - One of my all-time favourite Queens, she's so hard working and incredibly versatile, her runways are amazing as always. I enjoyed her on all 3 seasons she appeared in & should have had more wins on AS7, namely the girlgroup challenge where her and Monet should have been the top 2. I know favourtism got her to the final 4, but I don't care because that was the final 4 I wanted. Black Peppa - I really feel for her after dominating episode 1 by winning the mini & maxi challenge, which gave us strong winner of the series vibes, but everything backfired as the season went on she felt very diminished. Anyway I would love to see her comeback on a future all-stars season. Kerri Colby - She did get a lot of favoritism on S14 and she knew it, but I liked Kerri & wished that she injected more of her wonderful personality into the challenges, as she had the potential. Lemon - Quite high for a first out & yes she deserved far better given that her talent show was far better than Jujubee, Blu, Baga, Mo Heart, Janey & Cheryl. UKVTW was a dumpster fire of a season anyway.
