  1. Gonna come back for this one! been meaning to for a few months but life's been busy and my atrocious time management skills I was known for haven't improved much with age  But I finally have some time and a good entry too (drum & bass from the 90s) (also I should've joined last month to spare cece natalie the fate of getting 21st - she's a friend of mine and her album is fantastic so everybody should stream regardless x)

After a few listens to the remix album this is how I'm feeling now () 360 vs. 360 (featuring robyn & yung lean) Club classics vs. Club classics (featuring bb trickz) Sympathy is a knife vs. Sympathy is a knife (featuring ariana grande) I might say something stupid vs. I might say something stupid (featuring the 1975 & jon hopkins) Talk talk vs. Talk talk (featuring troye sivan) Von dutch vs. Von dutch (a. g. cook remix featuring addison rae) Everything is romantic vs. Everything is romantic (featuring caroline polachek) Rewind vs. Rewind (featuring bladee) So I vs. So I (featuring a. g. cook) Girl, so confusing vs. Girl, so confusing (featuring lorde) Apple vs. Apple (featuring the japanese house) B2b vs. B2b (featuring tinashe) Mean girls vs. Mean girls (featuring julian casablancas) I think about it all the time vs. I think about it all the time (featuring bon iver) 365 vs. 365 (featuring shygirl) - both incredible but the remix needs to be longer to stand up to the original Guess vs. Guess (featuring billie eilish) 10-6 for me! Hoping the Spring Breakers remix will make it 10-7 - super excited for that one
  3. Adding the 2nd NYC date out of nowhere was hilarious but I got a really good seat out of it so I can't complain

None of the singles off '21' had videos after Someone Like You! A live performance of Set Fire to the Rain has 800m views.
  5. Finally confirmed - was stuck between a few options but decided to go for another Spanish-language bop. I really really appreciate all the support that 'COLMILLO' got last month by the way!! I didn't get the chance to say anything about it last contest. ik I'm often late to vote/don't vote but this was one time I really was determined to before the flu killed my brain cells for the voting period :arrr:
  6. I'll be at work unfortunately so I can't join the SyncTube but the visuals so far are phenomenal! Excited to catch up on the thread.
  7. I was there last night yes!! Phenomenal show (and they performed my entry even though it's a B-side!). Getting my votes in in the next couple hours; thanks for accepting late votes Riser ^_^
  8. Self-recycled because I'm seeing this group in concert later this month (!!!!) and it was one of my fav songs of last year (also been too lazy to look/listen to new music lately)
  9. the SAW remix of 'Every Day's Like Christmas' just came on over the radio at my job - I work for a big retail chain in America so it really took me by surprise (especially since we tend to play the same 30 Xmas songs on repeat)!! Brightened up a dreary shift :)

    Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I have nothing
  11. Omg my first top 10 in a couple years and my first time getting 9th place - thank you so much to everybody who supported Adonia this time around! Our entry this time around was out of left field (and I think our oldest by like 30 years lol) so I had no idea what to expect. Thank you Pestolia for the last minute 18 that gave it the final push too ^_^ edit: Just saw the spreadsheet and I completely glossed over Jupiter's 18, thank you so much as well! This was a really engaging results show if a bit chaotic (tbf I enjoy that anyway); thanks Harve for putting in the work and sequencing the votes in the most dramatic way possible
  12. this just brought up traumatic memories of being the first person to send 'Raindrops' in 72 before it got vetoed due to multiple confirmations just for it to get sent the next month and win  Cannot believe it's been (almost) 9 years
  13. Incredibly pleased with how this is going so far!! tons of high points that I am very grateful for (special thanks to Zanmatony and Doctor Blind for the 18s & much love to Blind for highlighting that message from Gaza </3). These results have been a blast to watch - I’m afraid of POPHub continuing to slip away but very impressed and happy with its performance!

  15. I know the Scotland 2 entry has already been discussed in detail but I'm very familiar with this mix and am in disbelief it was sent  I followed the TwerkNation collective before they stopped producing for various reasons (mainly out of respect for Jersey Club because they felt it was overshadowing more serious producers in the genre) and they had some great remixes of individual songs but the megamix sent is definitely one of my favorite things they produced. I agree with the decision to include it in the contest because the entire mix has the one Imogen Heap sample as a base and each of the producers spend a minute or two riffing on/remixing the sample. I'm also happy to see some discussion about my entry this month already! I wanted to do a complete 180 from last month for the sake of it and also because this year hasn't been too great for me BJSC-wise (I think I've only qualified 1 or 2 times?). I noticed that the title is listed as 'Les Fleur' in the OP - I filled out as 'Les Fleurs' on the form because that's the title on streaming but it was a bit confusing. I looked on Discogs and 'Les Fleur' was the title on the original pressing of the single/album and was only changed to 'Les Fleurs' on streaming and the latest repress of the LP (the 2017 version has the 'Les Fleur' title without the S as well) so good catch!
