  1. It was not our day today but it's too early to write the season off. Hopefully better results and performances will come as the season goes on.

  4. I've not seen Ugarte play before but hopefully he will do a great job for us.
  5. The Eddie Nketiah transfer will be a good one for him and Crystal Palace as he will get to play week in, week out. At the same time though it feels like he is leaving Arsenal now when the momentum is at it's peak. Raheem Sterling's loan move to Arsenal and Jadon Sancho going to Chelsea is just out of pure desperation on both parts. If Sterling gets to play regularly the move will suit him more and he'll be a better player than while he was at Chelsea. He'll never get back to the heights of his Man City days though. Ivan Toney moving to Al-Ahli is such a strange transfer, it's got to be all about money and nothing else. He'll probably spend only one season there and leave otherwise his career will be half-way towards being finished.

  7. R.I.P Sven. I've known this was coming ever since he said a few months ago he had terminal cancer and "a year at best to live". He will forever be remembered in English football history.

All In was a fantastic ppv! It finished about an hour and a half ago as I type this but I'm still hyped from the show. Mariah May Vs Toni Storm was possibly one of the best if not the best women's match in company history and this storyline between the two of them is definitely the best in the women's division that they have ever done. Right outcome with Mariah winning the title as well. I enjoyed the four way tag team ladder match and the casino gauntlet match which featured the debut of Ricochet! Mercedes Mone Vs Britt Baker was probably the worst match of the night with an odd ending but it wasn't helped by taking place straight after the brilliant match between Will Ospreay and MJF. I was surprised the coffin match didn't go on for longer but the main event between Swerve and Danielson absolutely delivered, the drama and the in-ring action was top notch and finally Bryan Danielson is world champion in AEW. It will be interesting to see how long he holds the title for and who will eventually beat him for it.

It should be a good show! Swerve Vs Danielson could be match of the night. Jack Perry Vs Darby Allin is bound to be a wild one as well.

  17. I can think of at least 115 reasons why the past decade has been unfair......
  18. There is a manager in the Head-to-Head league named 五条 悟 - 烏野高校 (which translates to Gojo Satoru - Karasuno High School). Don't know who that is but after yesterday's match they are currently whipping my ass with a 12-0 head start due to having 3 Man Utd players in their squad.
  19. Thanks for clearing that up :) You got 4 points because you selected Alejandro Garnacho in your first team and he got those points according to how well he played in the match against Fulham in the eyes of the Premier League. The better a player performs in a match the higher amount of points he gets per match. Also the players who regularly perform well in matches tend to be the most expensive players to own in the game which makes it harder to have all the best players in your team at the same time. So all the individual points that players in your team earn are all added up per match and for the season as a whole.
  20. Let's just end the season here. No need to play the other 379 games
  21. Friday 16th August Manchester United 2-0 Fulham (20:00) Saturday 17th August Ipswich Town 0-3 Liverpool (12:30) Arsenal 3-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers Everton 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion Newcastle United 1-0 Southampton Nottingham Forest 0-0 AFC Bournemouth West Ham United 1-2 Aston Villa (17:30) Sunday 18th August Brentford 1-1 Crystal Palace (14:00) Chelsea 0-2 Manchester City (16:30) Monday 19th August Leicester City 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur (20:00)
  22. Most of the manager names I recognise from last season so I can match them to their team names. "But Back Of The Neto" is that you Yobnedor? just for the purposes of posting the weekly results. As previously mentioned "Trojan Horse" in the Head-to-Head league is another that at the moment I would not be able to guess who on Buzzjack that belongs to. Also as I said in the opening post the main league will remain open for the whole season so you can join that as well if you wish :D
  23. Pure Spanish dominance! Thanks for running this Pete.
  24. 1. Manchester City 2. Arsenal 3. Liverpool 4. Manchester United 5. Tottenham Hotspur 6. Chelsea 7. Aston Villa 8. Newcastle 9. West Ham 10. Crystal Palace 11. Fulham 12. Wolves 13. Everton 14. Brighton & Hove Albion 15. Bournemouth 16. Leicester City 17. Brentford 18. Nottingham Forest 19. Ipswich Town 20. Southampton Points total for the champions: 90 Top scorer: Erling Haaland Player of the year: Cole Palmer First manager to get sacked: Nuno Espirito Santo I think City will win the league again this season but this could be where the streak of Premier League titles comes to an end. Arsenal will be the nearly men again, Liverpool with a new manager will be hard to read but I've gone with them finishing 3rd and there should be a big improvement on last season for Man United. Tottenham and Chelsea wont be that different from last season but I'm expecting a big drop off for Aston Villa, I think they reached their ceiling last season and trying to juggle Champions League football with the league will take it's toll on them. For most of the teams from 8th downwards I don't think there will be much difference compared to last season but I think Brighton will struggle this season and their new manager will be under fire at some point during the season. I think Leicester will be the only newly promoted team that survives relegation and Nottingham Forest will go down after being close for the past two seasons. Hence why I've gone for Nuno to get sacked first. If Enzo Maresca lasts the whole season as Chelsea manager I will be amazed.
  25. Looks like there could be the most participants in a few years which is good to see! Just to be clear my team name is Party Tricks FC, same as last season.
