Was wondering if there was going to be a separate thread for the results, glad that there is! Looking forward to the results.

I think he deserves to have the chance to improve on last season and while I'm not expecting us to do anything crazy next season I don't think we'll be as bad as we were last season. Some of the other teams that were ahead of us in the league will probably have a drop off as well.

It should be a fun night watching the results come in. It feels like so long ago since there was a general election, I wasn't able to stay up for the 2019 election because of having to go into the workplace the following morning but I'm WFH this time so I'll be up for most of the night. I don't know what the record for most seats won is but I think Labour are going to dismantle the Torries.

I would expect him to play at the 2026 World Cup if Portugal qualify but after that surely even someone like him would decide to call it a day rather than playing at Euro 2028 as a 43 year old.

That was such a fun match! The goal from Austria was perfectly timed from a neutral point of view as well and that save from the Turkish goalkeeper at the end was world class.

For me the winners of Euro 2024 will come from this match. Really intrigued to see how this plays out.

If only Slovenia had scored that 1-on-1 chance they had after Pepe's mistake! That was great mental courage that Ronaldo showed to step up first to take the penalty in the shootout after having his earlier penalty saved in extra time. Portugal Vs France should hopefully be entertaining.

I did think his celebrations were a bit excessive after scoring and the final whistle. Especially when he was mouthing "who else, who else". It's like bro, England only got 2 shots on target in the whole match against Slovakia and were shit for 94 minutes. You should be ashamed that it had to come down to this to get past a team like them, this is why England don't win anything. You can see cockiness starting to creep in from certain sectors after this win.

This could be the first Euros where no team got 0 points in the group stage, a sign of a generally open group stage. The team that makes it to the final from the 1st half of the bracket will deserve to win Euro 2024 imo for the absolute hell they're gonna have to go through to get there.

The way England have played in this tournament it doesn't matter what side of the draw they end up in, they're not going to do anything of note. Italy would knock them out and so would Belgium.

Spain are the only team to win all 3 group matches so far at these Euros and they did it without conceding a goal. They look like potential tournament winners but there will be tougher obstacles ahead.

That was heart-breaking for Croatia, especially after they showed Modric biting his shirt in anxiety with a minute of stoppage time to go. The game really picked up from the moment Croatia went into the lead. Italy's defence of the trophy goes on!
