I think France will win the tournament, knocking out England in the semi finals on route to the trophy.
  3. Congratulations Y'all Starlight on winning the sweepstake and thanks Pete for running this.

Very pleased that we held on to the lead and have won our 13th FA Cup and are now just one behind Arsenal overall. It was a good performance from the team and we stopped most of their influential players having an impact on the game Haaland in particular did nothing apart from hitting the crossbar once. Jeremy Doku transformed them in the 2nd half though but overall it was a good display. It just shows our inconsistent we are that we're capable of beating top teams like this but we can't produce these kind of results and performances often enough. It's still been a poor season overall but if the chance to win a trophy in the final is there you'd take it every single time and 8 years was too long to go without winning the FA Cup.

Happy to be proven wrong so far! Let's keep a clean sheet now.
  6. Leeds will win the match I think. Whatever the result next season we're guaranteed to have a near symmetrical line up of Premier League teams from the 2022-23 season. Ipswich being the only odd team out.

I think we'll lose today to round off a disappointing season and it will 100% be Ten Hag's last match in charge at Man United.

5 yeas already! The time has sure flown by. I'm looking forward to Double Or Nothing, especially as I didn't get to see Dynasty.

  10. 3/20 for the league positions and one point short for the champions points total.
  11. Hopefully he does go as there's not really anything left for him to accomplish now, unless he wants to emulate Sir Alex Ferguson but that would require him staying at the club for more than 20 years and surely he wont do that.
  12. I was very wrong about this! I should have known that Man City would indeed win all of their remaining matches

Special congratulations to King Rollo who by winning the 2023/24 Buzzjack Premier League Prediction Competition has become the first person to successfully defend the title in 10 years! Just like last season it was another closely fought battle with the lead changing hands multiple times during the season but in the end King Rollo emerged as the victor. Thank you to everyone who took time out to participate in the competition during the season. It was a lot of fun to be involved with the competition as it always is and I hope that you'll all take part again next season when it returns. Funnily enough it will be the first season with a year ending in "5" in the competitions' history as it was not held during the 2014/15 season. Also to anyone who may be reading this that didn't take part in this season's competition you're more than welcome to take part next season!
  16. The "greatest title race of all time" ends up with the same formulaic outcome of City winning the title. There's just a feeling now that no matter what happens during the season by matchday 38 they will always be on top, like things just always fall into place for them. The future of the Premier League looks bleak to be honest.
  17. ^ It's not great but it's only one less than two season's ago when we finished on "0" goal difference I'm also relived that we avoided the Conference League, it's been a very poor season but at least we can now put it behind us from the Premier League side of things. Normally after having these kind of seasons the following season is normally an improvement so we should at least improve on what we've done this season.
  18. It's the Harry Kane effect! :heehee: Leverkusen living up to their nickname "Bayer Neverlusen" by completing the league season unbeaten. Two more games for them to go the entire season unbeaten in all competitions and I think they will do it. Pretty much a perfect season for them.

  22. Heading into the final round defending champion King Rollo holds a 10 point advantage over nearest competitor LewisGT at the top of the standings. Can he remain on top and be the first person to secure consecutive titles since 2013/14?

  24. Leicester will make sure that it doesn't happen again next season I think. Ipswich will find the jump from Championship to Premier League too tough, especially as they've jumped from League One to the Premier League within 2 seasons. For the play off contending teams it's only Leeds maybe that could do it if their defence wont be too leaky.
  25. I think Luton & Burnley will have a very good chance of coming straight back up. Sheffield United will struggle I think and it doesn't help that they will start on -2 points, they're that bad that I think they could even be more likely to get relegated again rather than get promoted. Bramall Lane wont be seeing Premier League football again for a good number of years I reckon.
