England will need the strongest of mentalities to withstand this environment and atmosphere.

You never know, even with Balogun in USA's squad Belgium might still end up winning this match.

No 6th star this year for Brazil.

Now the urgency begins for Brazil.
  9. No reason why we can't make it back to back weeks at #1. We go again! ✊

I would put my hat in a kebab and eat it if anyone in England would need to book Monday 20th July off.
  12. A completely pointless managerial appointment here and from his own perspective why bother taking charge if there is no long term vision beyond this World Cup?

Yeah the tactics from Paraguay were what people call the "dark arts". Mbappe did well to keep his cool during the match and not rise to the Paraguay players bait. The referee was laughably bad also. France Vs Morocco should be a good game and hopefully Morocco will cause an upset there.

  16. Yeah it feels like it was right to expand the tournament. It's just the method of trimming the teams down to 32 for the knockout stage that has it's flaws as we've seen with how some teams approached their group matches.
  17. Gutted for Cape Verde but they have done themselves proud and played with courage against Argentina and throughout the tournament. They scored probably the goal of the tournament with the 2-2 equaliser. They'll be missed for sure and so will their fans who are by far the most easy on the eye.
  18. Cape Verde NEED to win now
  19. Martinez it had to be you!
  20. Incredible stuff! This has turned into a really nerve-wracking game now. I really want Cape Verde to win now, still no one can beat them in 90 mins!
  21. They couldn't do it again could they?
  22. I remembered this today and have thought about it quite a lot today. It feels like the one year has flown by, one of the most shocking things I've ever seen to do with football. It didn't fully sink in when I first heard about it but it will forever remain such a tragedy. It was a touching tribute by the Portugal squad after their match against Croatia holding up his number 21 shirt. Also the same sentiments for his brother Andre Silva.
  23. As soon as Salah scored from the Panenka I knew that would have psyched out whoever the next Australian penalty taker would be and unfortunately it was the young teenager who took it. Hopefully people in Australia will not go too hard on him. It definitely took a lot of guts at 18 to step up in that high pressure situation.
  24. Hopefully they don't move Brazil Vs Norway to an awkward time instead because that could potentially be the best match of the Round of 16.
  25. R.I.P to the concept of people drinking at 4/5 AM on a Monday morning I guess
