Is it crossing the line to point out that every day the war goes on is a day Ukraine kills Russian combatants, reducing the strength of their army overall and morale, which is a net positive for all of us that oppose Russia? It's not far off a proxy war if we're frank.

Have to agree with Cody there hasn't really been many actually 'good' lipsyncs or song choices so far! I did think Arrietty and Lexi were pretty lucky this episode that Acacia and Kori fumbled this just a bit worse. Kori's role was very hard to make work though and Acacia's came at a difficult time in the show to make impactful - I kind felt the Rusical went off the rails after her number. Drag Race Philippines 3 is unbothered with Wicked themed Rusicals. I would give Onya this win with Suzie a strong second (technically that role was the hardest with the dance and singing elements imo) and then Jewels, and only then Sam. Although she did well for sure that Cher role was kinda set up to be the breakout character so it was easier for her to make a splash, imo.

For what it's worth, I don't entirely disagree with Liam's point. ...however my solve would be more in the vein of targeted strikes on high value targets to resolve everything quicker rather than a long war of attrition. Lol. Funnily enough the takeway from the situation with the IRA and the Troubles IS, to an extent, much as the state likes to have a monopoly on it, ultimately, violence did solve that problem. It took both sides to a very nasty place, and it left a lot of people with damage, but through conflict peace WAS eventually forced, along with removal of both the leaders that caused the most harsh of the hardship in the first place, and following that, the conditions that created that hardship. However, the similarlty between Ukraine and the Troubles from the perspective of the native population is in fact, that both believed themselves to be facing an existential threat. And it's hard for those of us not directly there but who sympathise to convey the coldly logical decision that to give up your land and your territory, your home and your culture, may be if not the winning move, the enforced move with the highest chance of survival. Because in doing so, that survival also ensures that people actively give up many things that make them who they are.

But it's also pertinent to the conversation around "British people aren't having children" and "kids in schools are speaking 25 languages" etc. The implication or even outright statement there is that these children are the children of two foreign first generation immigrants who moved to this country together - and there is never any evidence whatsoever apart from vibes or presumption through misrepresentation to actually confirm that. The reality is that all of the below would count as British children or the children of British people: * the son of a white British father and Black or Asian British mother * the daughter of a white British mother and white Polish father * the son of a white British father and Chinese immigrant mother * the children of a white British mother and an Indian father There's also adoption or people marrying into a second family... I am sure as we have many teachers on here they would be able to confirm such families. Even looking in my own family. My sister in law is Malaysian. Her children, born here, will grow up bilingual. They're half white. English will be their language du jour at school and work. But because they're not fully white British & because they can speak another language with mum or grandma, clearly they're "immigrant children" and proof that white British people aren't having kids...

Also there's a thing that is very gross that I want to directly call out as well: The framing of all non white people as immigrants. This is something that is disingenuously done by a LOT of right-wing commentators to try and make the 'scary' number look bigger but if we are going to be honest - and let's be honest, because such people LOVE hiding their actual views in obfuscation and not being frank and upfront - The ONLY way for "white British families" to be a majority in this country is to mandate that white British people ONLY procreate with other white British people - if children of one white British parent and one non-white-and-British parent are ALWAYS going to be classed as immigrants. That IS racist.

My point, which some other posts have hinted at but not said outright, but which I'm not intimidated to say outright, is that polls that show X% of people support something don't actually mean anything if the people that support it are stupid, because they don't actually have an informed opinion on the topic. You can take a stupid person and just tell them what to think or how to vote and they will. You don't need to justify it to them or even ask them to justify it before they do it. And in my opinion, that's a problem. Anyone making any decision should do so with at least a baseline understanding of what that decision will mean and what the impact will be on themself if not also on the people immediately around them and their community. This is the justification given to witholding the vote from teenagers and children; but it appears that adults who might actually have a lower grasp on reality than some teenagers or children are apparently fair game.

I have to agree. The last UK vs the World pretty much showed you can be the best at drag and have a unique POV and be as good at all the skills it tests on in your native language, but that doesn't matter as much as being able to speak English like a native. I also don't get the impression Kate Butch wants to win so it would be quite funny if she ended up winning by default!

I have to agree, Arietty was the only one with three good looks. Hormona was unlucky to bottom here, I kinda suspect that her package might have more variety to it if she posts it as the weeks go on. Felt like they just didn't have much interest in her storyline and she wasn't gelling with the other girls but also wasn't starting drama with them.
