Sounds like their episode 13 and 14 are going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory then with Lexi getting another bottom 3 and then making the final while Suzie never places below safe and has been unfairly blamed for everything going wrong all season long by her, only to get eliminated on her first bottom by Sam who everyone already feels lost the lipsync to Lana. For real, I stayed out of spoilers for most of the season because its always interesting to look back at the early spoilers after you've seen the season. All in all this was quite an interesting set - I would never have expected some things to happen that did! Lexi's run is baffling. She hasn't, in my opinion, earned any of her high placements. She could easily have a similar TR to Lydia or Arrietty. Lana certainly does do better and better towards the end of the season, but largely that isn't reflected in her placements. Sam Star was originally thought to be an early out, that's interesting. Suzie's edit (and the others' reaction to her) is also wild when Onya Nurve has been the clear frontrunner TR-wise. A slowburn to set up her shock elimination? At this point I'm anticipating Lexi's rumix win, if it does happen, to be akin to Bosco's High in that season's rumix when it wasn't at all deserved One thing that hasn't happened yet that I find fascinating is Sam and Jewels haven't drawn attention to their friendship at all. Trinity mentioned on her podcast she advised them to conceal it as much as possible to improve their chances of both making the finale, otherwise she anticipated that one may be used to eliminate the other for storyline.

I too think Britain has disappeared from what it once was. Once upon a time people like that would be given a short sharp shock and told frankly that they were stupid and wrong. Nowadays instead they get coddled, ego massaged by bad faith players in the media including the news, reporters that once upon a time used to at least set a baseline of truth like the BBC, documentary makers and so on. Nowadays ideology is in everything and nobody seems to want to offend anybody. That is the greatest irony of people the like that are quoted in this article. It is they who want to create a bubble where only people like themselves can live, and enforce their will and their ignorance on others. They don't want to engage with anything outside of their existing beliefs. They don't want to educate themselves a jot. They don't want to support social services, if it might benefit someone that believes something different. They don't want to actually understand issues and give themselves the tools to combat their own oppression or achieve something or to be able to actually avoid being taken in again. They just want someone to validate them, and to point the finger at someone further down the chain, and to be allowed to be angry and punch down, to make themselves feel better. Personally, I find it absolutely pathetic and embarrassing. One of the things this country used to value was working-class people's fierce independence and self-sufficiency. All of this falling in line behind an obvious con artist, a rich ex-banker with a foreign wife and bilingual children who went to private school like Farage, and a criminal hooligan with a fake name to hide his true double-barrelled one like Tommy Robinson aka Stephen Yaxley-Lennon is bullshit to suggest that's natural to working-class people. Imagine being the kind of person who would say "I'm sure there's a perfectly valid reason for this, it's paranoid to think someone that's at no point in their life shown themself to have any morals whatsoever and had at multiple turns when presented with a kind option and a cruel option deliberately chosen the cruel option, could be a bad person" right up until the point they lock you in with the firing squad. You should be more sceptical for your own good Liam. And that goes for anyone who isn't too. I'm sorry to say this but this to an extent comes down to experience, if you've experienced cruelty and discrimination directed at you by someone who has power over you and the will to be hurtful to satisfy themselves before, or if you haven't. Once upon a time I believed the best of people too. Now, unfortunately, I'm cautious, and when somebody starts exhibiting behaviour that suggests they won't abide by normal rules of engagement, that tends to bear out in the kind of person they are and the kind of things they will think nothing of doing.

It's not cognitive dissonance to think Elon is capable of things unless you're conflating two meanings of the word down into one. Elon is a very rich man. While he might not personally be capable in the sense of having the mental and inventive capacity to personally do magical things with technology, he does due to his immense wealth have the financial capacity to pay other people (who are legally bound by NDAs etc. or by other means of control he has over them) to do all kinds of things on his behalf, and further he has the moral capacity to order people to do all kinds of things that might be immoral or illegal as long as he benefits. I just wish he'd decided to get that submarine.

As for the election, Trump was proven trying to cheat in 2016 and 2020, before partnering out of the blue with known tech magnate and social media manipulator Elon Musk for the 2024 run. He's since praised Musk for providing "voting machines" and won all the states he wasn't predicted to win. Maybe he did or maybe he didn't cheat, but it would be out of character for him to suddenly try not to after literally attempting an illegal coup to stay in power before. Can't wait to hear your take on January 6th.

As I've seen mentioned online before, I think Viv was the kind of person who would be satisfied with her death being used as a warning to others to be careful. I myself wasn't aware that this could happen as a result of ketamine use, whether or not the drug directly caused it or exacerbated some existing health issue she hadn't been aware she had. It's brave of the family to share it. I'm also personally relieved to hear that she wasn't murdered, although it's still obviously tragic that she passed under any circumstances.

Ok having seen this episode of 17 I now understand that Lydia coming back so soon might actually end up working out; this is the most 'robbed queen' moment we've had for a while on US Drag Race and she really was just unfortunate as the lipsync assassin of the season this time.

Ngl Lana really went for it once she saw Lydia got stuck in the dress though. Funnily enough - I actually dislike Lexi more than Lana now! She didnt deserve to be in the bottom this week I think. Sadly Lydia was the worst one in the challenge for me, although she looked absolutely fabulous in the challenge look and this was for sure her best runway!
