I'm not even sure I do believe in democracy any more. It used to be that we all lived in the same reality and could agree what a fact was. Nowadays we have people whose entire comsumption of media is propaganda and essentially cult membership, being granted exactly the same weight to cast their view as people who live in the real world.

People are already denying there could possibly by a sexist or racist argument/vote component. Pull the other one.

Now's as good a time as any to reiterate that the "just vote" message in 2024 is RIDICULOUSLY naive like we're still living in the Obama era. Innthe future if Democrats want to win they need to be using ALL POSSIBLE TOOLS not just to make themselves appealing, but to compress and reduce the enemy vote numbers. So, I'm slightly rethinking my first take on this based on the assumption that it might be the case that DRUK has a list of celebrities they're allowed to choose from, instead of literally anyone. It's always been something I've found confusing tbh that UK Snatch Game is so tame when a real defining feature of UK bar/live drag is that it's dark humoured, parody filled and often political too. That's what a performance like Lill's got closest to. I guess I'm not sure if Drag Race UK is really for an adult audience as much as the drag I would see in a bar that is legally an adult only space is
