I like this season but for me this Snatch Game was absolutely the disconnect between Ru/American humour and British humour. For me, the only two that were remotely funny were La Voix and Lill. Of the two, Lill's darker humour was then MUCH funnier than La Voix's, although La Voix has the character to take focus. So it could've gone either way. After them, Marmalade I guess had some moments. Rileasa was the clear worst, Charra Tea once again was COMPLETELY all over the place and Scarlet Harleted her way through the challenge by just doing EXACTLY what Ru said would be funny and it just... wasn't? Nadine Coyle as Mary Poppins but it's just someone saying Nadine Coyle quotes and Mary Poppins quotes? Ok... by that remit put yourself in a pink tracksuit with a crown and you can be Vicky Pollard as The Queen... I didn't find Kyran or Actavia funny at all either. Elvis, really? And a made up character? This is drag race UK. I want to see some bloody UK celebrities! Where's Billie Piper or Alison Hammond or Holly Willoughby? How is it 6 seasons and we've never had a Simon Cowell or Louis Walsh or Tulisa? Victoria Beckham? Jo Frost Supernanny. Gillian McKeith. Ant and Dec!

fwiw re Alice Chater I had only heard of her on an Iggy Azalea song after her chart time was long over, & I don't follow any other pop blogs etc. apart from here really, and not even this that much nowadays either. I think it came up on my spotify recs and then happened to have a music video release. As it happens it did kind of just ok anyway. Personally I can take or leave rule change, although I think it bears noting that the kind of stuff that does well on BJSC now isn't always pop, and pop tracks even that might be 'well known' to pop fans aren't guaranteed to do well here due to the BJSC demographic/crowd not necessarily leaning in that direction
