Gold for England in the women's sprint! Starting the cycling off well.

I was up this morning to see Team GB get a silver in the Mixed Relay, only to look later today and find out it was actually a bronze :lol: Ah well, a medal is a medal!

Track cycling is underway! Women's team sprint has been a bit crazy - the world record broken three times in about 5 minutes :lol:

Just watching the Men's high bar now - four of the athletes making mistakes so far, something must be going on! Edit: And a fifth! The bronze medal score in that contest wouldn't even have been enough to qualify through the first round :o

Going back to Team GB, our last man standing Lewis Richardson won his quarterfinal today so we're guaranteed a medal in the boxing!

Not watching the football, but how is there 16 minutes of added time between Brazil and France!

And a second first ever medal for a country in the Athletics tonight as Thea Lafond from Dominica gets gold in the Triple Jump! A good night for the small nations.

Wasn't she in the warm-up area before her race? Or is that not in the same place as the stadium?

Given there isn't too much positivity in this thread I'll chip in and say this is one of my favourite songs to make the UK Chart this year! A really positive song with great vocals and instrumentation. And very glad he's been representing the UK in the Top 10 over the past few weeks.

Gold for Julian Alfred in the Women's 100m - the first ever Olympic medal for St Lucia!

That 400m mixed relay was exciting - The Netherlands causing an upset over firm favourites USA there! Femke Bol really has some talent. Nice to see GB get the bronze as well.

Kayak cross looks fun! A mix between kayaking and ski cross.

A second gold for Evenepoel, this time in the road race! Nice to see an unexpected silver for Valentin Madouas as well, being able to cling on to Evenepoel long enough to stay away from the rest of the pack.

Bronze for Jake Jarman in the floor - the commentators all expected Luke Whitehouse to get into the Top 2 after his performance though so a bit of a surprise to see him in sixth! Nice to see a gold for The Philippines though, not often they do so well in gymnastics.

Beth Schriever very safely into the Final winning all three semi-final races! Sadly not the case for Kai Whyte who was stretchered off after his second semi.

Indeed - four wins in just a matter of days! Nice to see a silver for Duncan Scott though.

Silver for Ben Proud! Definitely a pun to be had there.

Fourth for GB's Zak Perzamanos in the Men's Trampoline. So close!

Halfway through the women's 800m heats - Gemma Reekie and Phoebe Gill safely through to the semis so far!

Not a bad way to start the evening! Wonder if it'll be broken again in the Final (or indeed in the second heat)
