I don't pay much attention to the main US charts generally, but just realised both Brandon Lake and Forrest Frank are in the Top 100 which is nice to see!

Just been reading that the lead singer was suffering with chronic laryngitis during the contest - kudos to him for still being able to perform well! On another note - does anyone know if the misspelling of 'Bird of Prey' is deliberate or accidental?

But I've just trawled through various Spotify / Itunes / Apple Music charts from Sunday / Monday to see what the final leaderboard would look like if points were allocated based on that. The Estonia song is the one that's been constantly in my head since the contest ended so can definitely see the appeal! Plus out of all the Eurovision countries I can get Spotify or Apple music data from it's in the Top 3 Eurovision songs for all bar 2 (and of course the highest in the UK) so it wasn't just a vote-night phenomenon. As for the Juries, I think taking them out of the Semis has worked quite well, I've not heard the NQs but from the Final it felt like there was a good range of genres just from the public vote - pop, ballads, alternative, novelty and more. Of course one interesting side-effect of this is that countries like the UK have the 'luxury' (if you can call it that) of trying to appeal exclusively to the juries knowing that it will get them above a number of the qualifiers who have to try their best to appeal to both. In an ideal world we shouldn't need juries in the Final either but this year's result showed us that they're unfortunately still absolutely necessary.

Yeah I didn't love the Austria song, but definitely the best outcome of the two there. I'd have taken an Estonia win though!

I did wonder if we might give some points to Lithuania when I heard the guy from Blossoms was in the jury! (might have helped that 12 for Latvia as well)

Always hard to vote on first instinct! I've gone for Lithuania 🇱🇹 and Switzerland 🇨🇭 but no idea if they'll be my favourites in a few days' time!

Now this IS good. Would absolutely be here for France winning.

Sweden is really catchy, not sure I can see it winning but I've been wrong before!

Again, Malta blends in with quite a few of the other upbeat pop songs for me!

Beautiful song from Switzerland there! I do worry for it given it's the host song but hope it gets some points.

Poland feels quite similar to the other pop-py ones we've had, but impressive to be doing that at 52!
