I can see the appeal, but it veers a little too close to Ava Max faceless territory for me — whereas everything she's released so far has felt incredibly Jade. I hope it's a hit — she deserves it all, and we deserve a fantastic pop album asap

Mutya just has a voice made for this I can't think of another legacy act — or an artist to return after decades — to come back with something that felt true to themselves, but also modern. There is usually some disconnect there, fan service can detract (rightly or wrongly) from being current. This is just how you do it.
