I hate makeover challenges but loved this — honestly, my only negative is it should have been a non-elimination episode. They all did so well, and it felt like a wonderful and supportive episode that could have done with a lil happy surprise at the end. Charra Tea managed to completely charm me after being sceptical at the beginning, it's a shame to see any of these girls leave now.

That was an incredible episode of Drag Race — those 30 seconds of Lill as Geri had me howling. I cannot argue with La Voix getting the win but Marmalade really did an incredible job. That look. Stunning. I need her to get a win already — she's lowkey fantastic at everything but competing against juggernauts.

Bernie Sanders attempted this twice, and the DNC quashed it. They are terrible at messaging and need to communicate how ordinary basic social programs are, healthcare etc — and then deliver on them so people actually have an improvement in their material conditions. Look at Walz and Minnesota — he has success in this. They didn't learn anything from it. It doesn't matter who the Democrats choose — they can campaign with Liz Cheney and talk about putting Republicans in their cabinet — but they'll still be painted as radical socialist leftists by Trump and much of the media. They also can't outflank the right. I don't understand attempting to appeal to people who simply won’t vote for you, especially at the cost of alienating your base and offering them nothing tangible. They'll just stay at home.

The signs were there — the Democrats were the incumbent party with high inflation and rising costs (post-pandemic or not) — but I thought the negatives surrounding Trump, his baggage, and his poor campaign mostly negated that. Massive yikes. I don't want to think about the next few years.

The mistake was not switching Biden out sooner. This result is a complete rejection of the Biden administration — fair or not.

Well, I'm glad for my sanity that I managed to keep some distance from the election this year because this result is absolutely bleak.
