Genuinely shocked Neliönoir actually finished in the top ten. Amazing! Thank you to everyone who loved the song, and especially to Brer for hyping us up throughout the contest *.* This is the first contest where I have been around for some of the listen-throughs and results — it really does make a big difference. I wasn’t completely sold on BJSC tbh but that was my fault for not properly engaging in it until now. It’s useful to know about the power of the different blocs… although I really thought ‘Harvest Heartbreak’ was going to win listening to these, clearly I know nothing. A great top ten. ‘Strawberry Jam’, ‘Magic’, and ‘Off - World’ have been on repeat all week.

Absolutely tragic.

This could end up being my favourite project from her? When she gets it, she gets it. She just excels at exploring different pop/pop-adjacent soundscapes. Surprised by this — I think the production is the strongest element over the course of the entire album. The production really elevates some of the songs that maybe wouldn't seem as fully formed without it.

I think this might be my favourite final so far — I am struggling with the order of my fifteen songs. The alt/dance/electronic songs really came through this time.

Scream! "Not handled perfectly" is quite an understatement — they made a false allegation that Huw Edwards committed a crime and purchased underage photos. They have quite happily stirred up blatant homophobia when that allegation fell apart. The "actual story" seems like quite the non-story — a closeted man potentially cheating on his wife with young men online is not a rarity, as creepy as it might seem. I don't think anyone is supporting or condoning his behaviour. There is some nuance here because we don't know the full picture — however, we do know that no crime has been committed, which disproves the story in The Sun.
