If someone makes a fab mascot then it is going to get added to the logo when confirmations open this weekend x

No deadline, and they’re completely optional. I know everyone is busy! Thought it could be fun to have something more collaborative and a bit silly x I’m going to incorporate them throughout the contest, so it is up to you 🖤

If you would like a template to make something for BJSC 189, I have made some for you here. @matto has been kind enough to show off some of his concepts x

hiya its nelly as you can see i have seen better days. rough week honestly x
i might not have hands but i know you do. if your nation wants a mascot or banner to hang out with me for bjsc 189, draw one. stick figures welcome. interpretive scribbles welcome. faces optional no need for ai. perfection is overrated. the worst the better post below or send it to me and it'll be featured in the contest
nelly needs friends. pls help 💙

Soon to be the first Drag Race Oscar winners

My most anticipated film of the year 🖤 The fact I haven't seen it yet is making me question my life x

I won't show @Bror calling it a banger 😮

🖤 Thanks for all the Nelly votes this month. Baffled tbh. I was convinced we were heading for an Aeroche landslide and was really rooting for Persephonia or Althub this month, so seeing those last few results trickle in felt like Nelly winning another Grammy over Beyoncé lol I had to check this because my little Nelly rule has always been to avoid recycling an artist during the same era, and I broke that with Big Chemistry which felt like cheating. Ascendant Vierge were sent a year before I even joined BJSC, and over two years before my entry. Night Tapes were entered over a year prior, from a different album cycle. I won't disagree about Tourist, because even I considered not sending this, but I loved it too much to let it go. My reasoning was Tamara Flores is the lead artist on a Spanish language song with Tourist credited as producer, so it felt like a genuine discovery If you're going to call me cheap then you need to take me out first x

My predictions usually mean 10 positions higher, of if you’re Tori Amos, 30 positions higher

Radical Optimism is saying a song has a billion streams a day in advance

Nelly votes are in! So many great entries this month. My top two nations this month were a surprise for me, and I love when that happens 🖤

Can't believe we are just days away from the announcement of the 20th anniversary repressing of Overloaded: The Singles Collection

Nobody is claiming he personally ends genocide by speaking up. It's about him having an easy, low-cost chance to show basic solidarity and choosing not to take it, because it risked his relationship with a billionaire and his own bottom line. Those are completely different claims, and collapsing them into each other is exactly how people talk themselves out of holding anyone accountable for anything. It is nonsense to say that if you're not the primary cause, you're apparently exempt from criticism entirely. Ed Sheeran getting bad press and bad comments for a week is not remotely similar to the years of criticism against Israel. It's naive at best (and disingenuous at worst) to suggest otherwise.

My personal bias is I think genocide is bad and don't have time for wishy-washy both-sides nonsense x I also think the ongoing discussion online is good, as much as it might make Ed Sheeran uncomfortable, because it's further proof that things are changing

Celebrities worth hundreds of millions of pounds don't require your sympathy when they're having a self-imposed bad week x You don't buy a speech read from a teleprompter that starts with October 7th and still frames genocide as the most complex political issue on the planet? The speeches he made during the show without a teleprompter were more telling, and very self-pitying. His PR team are doing a tragic job x

I also think she's clearly an album artist at this point too, 'Something Beautiful' proved that especially. It sounds strange given their different scales, but her situation reminds me of Charli pre-Brat. I feel like she constantly battles to balance commercial viability with her personal taste, resulting in disjointed projects that fight against themselves. Diving more into industrial electronica with a track like Different Religion as the centrepiece would have been delicious, but she never allows herself to settle into one sound for long. I do think she has an incredible album in her, but I don't think it's a pop album. I'm just not sure whether she'll ever allow herself to go there completely.

Girlies this is a fake post

It's Happening !!!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Impressed how thoroughly she's captured the early-2010s popstar with this album, right down to every track outside of the singles being a boot

Dobago didn’t flop, they were robbed

If they finish top 5 then they have to change their name to ALTHub
