  1. Yep the success of this will be mostly down to people asking Alexa to play Christmas music. It’s still a bit early although of course the daily streams for Christmas songs are rapidly increasing.
  2. Hopefully that’s a rolling week chart or something as it’s only been available since Wednesday.
  3. £18 for a new vinyl is cheap….wonder why vinyl prices seem to have fallen back? Noticed they’re a bit less for other artists too.
  4. Useful Jay, thank you. With Christmas Day falling on a Thursday likely means it will be far and away the biggest sales week for XMAS. Looks as though the dates are similar to when Ellie Goulding took number 1 (Christmas Day Wednesday) Boxing Day streams are usually decent before the rapid tail off but should still chart ok that following week just a big drop in chart position. I can’t see XMAS being the actual Christmas number one announced 19/12…despite the physicals. The Alexa spam won’t be as prominent.
  5. 30 years, for the love of god! Time is flying by.
  6. Takes me right back to 2005 and dancing around my old kitchen to this non stop masterpiece.
  7. The end goes on and on in a very good way. Layered background vocals help it build and yes it’s nothing groundbreaking but a very well crafted Christmas song. Using Amazon music for the first time I can now understand why certain tracks by Kylie are achieving certs….the discover Kylie playlist is very prominent. Hopefully LCA is picking up the numbers by being track 5. Shame there’s no listener stats.
  8. I love At Christmas. It’s so tacky and carefree.
  9. Let’s not jinx it but I really hope for big streams via Amazon. Aside from Santa Baby she’s only achieved moderate success but I’m sure it’s lucrative and from a business point of view she can definitely reap far more rewards with an original track. XMAS and perhaps one or more of the others could become a staple just like Cher has managed with DJ….pop dance Christmas bangers by legends mixing it up with the usual standards covered by Buble that dominate every playlist. Plus Kylie is a co writer too on these new ones.
  10. Just looked on Amazon and the green CD isn’t being displayed in the chart, just the red one at 29.
  11. Strange the CD so low given it includes XMAS.
  12. XMAS has two weeks where it has a strong chance of number 1….the week of the physicals (Christmas chart) and the week after….all depends if the Alexa spam pays off. If it does we’re looking at high sales too, well over 200k. Think the album could exceed 20k and I’ve gone top 3 because I didn’t check who else is releasing that week. Also there could be a surprise release that cleans up on streaming. Otherwise Fully Wrapped could reach number 1 because of the extra Amazon exclusive formats. It’s also priced very reasonably for a new vinyl (and CD). Sadly I think that means no gatefold!
  13. Only just realised I can listen via my Amazon prime membership….its not Amazon Unlimited but no adverts and I can pick what I listen to. Quite frankly I don’t know why unlimited is worth it.
  14. Plus if it is combined with the previous albums the streaming points will be way better…XMAS and Santa Baby downweighted but the rest won’t be and who knows one or more of the other new tracks may also take off on streaming. Currently on Spotify ITMWTOTY, SCICTT and At Christmas generally pick up substantial streams. One of them won’t be downweighted so could add thousands to her album streams this year. Of course this album chart calculation is just daft but those are the rules!
  15. Christmas Day falls on a Thursday so the single physicals will be included on the Friday chart announced prior. X.M.A.S. Streams will be higher the chart announced Boxing Day. In fact that’s going to be a massive streaming week as it will include everything up to Christmas Day. Also no estimated streams as Amazon usually reports all its data on time with no lag.
  16. I think they mean this is the final version, ie wrapped up now. Preordered the Amazon Green vinyl and CD plus the Zoetrope 12 inch….for now. Be interesting to see if any formats sell out prior to release day. The ‘signed’ option has already disappeared so my incentive to order from her store is weakened.
  17. In response to SmileyKylie…. No the physical singles for XMAS are available separately on Amazon in addition to the Green Vinyl and Green Fully Wrapped CD that also include XMAS as track 2. No other album physicals contain XMAS.
  18. Bewildering amount of formats but those three XMAS physicals going out on the 12th December is very encouraging. Fingers crossed it peaks HIGH!!! I can’t decide what album physicaks to buy. As I pay no attention to previous Amazon exclusives I’m assuming they never are added to other streaming sites at any point? I’m sure I’m eligible to have a free Amazon trial but always ignore it as I have Spotify.
  19. XMAS is super catchy and reminds me of the 80s tension tracks but with the Christmas dial set to max.
  20. One of the stickers on the CD suggests it’s the best of Kylie Christmas inc Santa Baby and 3 new tracks….makes sense to remove tracks so they can fit on one vinyl.

An album that really benefits being listened to in track order. Really enjoying it, Lily back to her narrative lyrical best. What a delicious takedown!
  22. My Bedtime Stories vinyl is heavyweight 180g black. Packaging could be better, cover art is a little blurry. This latest reissue looks better except for the vinyl itself.
  23. WTWRG must be like IYE in that it’s higher Spotify and YouTube streams are more from mainland Europe/ rest of the world. WTWRG didn’t sell much on release either…which was totally baffling at the time because it’s such a fine track.
