Yes after BL underperformed and they’d released Chocolate they definitely decided to capitalise on her fame and bring out Ultimate Kylie instead. IBIY and GYU were much more like the Fever singles too. Much better financial return than releasing a 4th single off BL or releasing an extended version. Of course, UK was viable because the Decon albums could be included. I bet Kylie/ Parlo wasn’t happy when the 1992 GH was re released with bonus mixes etc in 2002. Hence why she refused to let them use an image. They probably would have been planning UK being released at the end of 2005. Though as we now know, the cancer diagnosis would have stopped that from happening.

Great to see the YouTube video uploaded to her channel is already well over 400k. Let’s hope it continues to rack up the views.

The best thing about her award is the buzz it’s generated and adding the medley quickly to her own channel is going to help probably more than the dwindling viewers that this programme attracts. It just isn’t very good.

True re Padam but it’s caught Disco fairly quickly considering it’s been out over 3 years and was very well received on streaming, by Kylie’s standards. Album sales chart is just that, no extra profits are gained by having three songs sharing the 120 million Spotify streams or just one. Hopefully over time the rest of the album can clear 100 million and who knows, the repress may contain another Padam sized hit.

Hated the freakin’ around lyric but over time I’ve come to appreciate this sassy little gem as something a bit different from within her vast catalogue.

I never pre ordered so am going to wait for a reduction. I don’t mind paying more for limited edition vinyl, though I think it should always be heavyweight vinyl if they’re going to ask for over £30. Apparently BL is gatefold, with a black sleeve and an insert. So I’ll definitely pick up a copy at some point, unless it sells out soon of course.

Shame they’re not bundled together for say £20 not £30.

18 in the airplay chart. Decent, just needs some commercial plays as think that’s mainly bbc radio 2 and the bbc network.

Oh was in HMV Birmingham earlier today and SBIT black double vinyl was £12.99 with any purchase….total bargain.

It’s great she’s nominated, when was she previously last nominated…I don’t recall any since she won for X in 2008? I stopped watching it years ago anyway. Obviously will watch again if Kylie performs but its impact seems to have declined over the years…it used to be a way for the industry to generate sales after the January slump.
