Given the pitiful streams achieved on Spotify by the three new tracks we should be even more thankful for the XMAS Spam.

So low, how sad.

Kylie won’t have much time before Jingle Bell plus she’ll have her heels on. She’ll be able to tot up the stock in the morning.

XMAS apparently at 5 first look chart… Fully Wrapped at 1 but tomorrow’s midweek will tell us more re the album. Hope it has a significant lead one all the physicals are reported via pop up.

It’s stopped spamming XMAS for me too. Hopefully this is a deliberate ploy to minimise skips next week! Oh I’ve had my prime music sub improved automatically to unlimited…guess it’s because of recent Fully Wrapped and XMAS Amazon purchases.

Yes XMAS is the standout full throttle one. The other three definitely offer something different, are very ‘instant’ and the new track list works well balancing covers and originals. Really enjoy Office Party hope it finds its way on to Spotify playlists….along with Hot In December which will stand out as a Kylie DNA Christmas song in the same way Cher’s does. This Time of Year is decent but it does remind me of The First Day of My Life by Mel C. I like that song but they’re both part of that formulaic ballad sound usually sung by male solo and boybands and more recently Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi etc.

From Sayhey, the first midweek is reporting 12,000 sales, new at 1. Let’s hope many pre sales haven’t been reported yet!

LGTI will have no chance if it’s just a vinyl…Kylie 88 did ok for a vinyl only repress in 2 colours but don’t recall it anywhere close to top ten….they already gave the PWL Albums a push in 2015 with the gorgeous Cherry Red reissues. I know it was very different market conditions but don’t think there’s anywhere near enough demand to go top ten. IP had 4 Vinyls and a whole load extra goodwill…but maybe with a cassette bundle they could do it plus the imagery is great from 1991/2. I doubt Kylie/ PWL cares though. Well Monday midweeks will be interesting….Amazon showing about 2500+ sales in the last month (assuming that includes everything, don’t think they’d miss out presales made over a month ago) and hopefully 1000 plus CD via HMV. Though they had loads of the ‘exclusive CD’ instore but ‘signed version’ is sold out online. So thinking about it maybe I’m getting way too carried away with 30k, 20k plus maybe more likely. (Edit Amazon Green CD now saying 2000 sales so that’s at least 3500 total)

So 2,500 a day….fingers crossed it can exceed at least 3k a day this week. Trajectory looks good.

Ramping up for the big 3 weeks. Hopefully establishing in the Amazon top ten this week moving to the top at some point eeeek. Did Sam Ryder/ Tom G spend time at the top during their exclusive run? I’m assuming they must have! Currently at 22 so it held ok this week, fingers crossed Amazon also add the three newbies to playlists too. We need the streams to push the album and also potentially have multiple singles chart entries.

After seeing Kylie’s instagram alongside piles and piles of vinyl (assuming purple) then I hope they add loads to the numbers already sold via her store/ Amazon and HMV. It’s hard to know how popular this release actually will be but the vinyl sales should be very good if nothing else. 30-40k would be excellent. Streaming could be 2000 plus too.

Yep this will be a big weekend. Hopefully….I’ve noticed Spotify Tuesday streams are still relatively subdued compared to the weekend…except for SCICTT which has increased to 80k a day whilst At Christmas and ITMWTOTY have fallen back to 35k. Maybe everyone is moving to Amazon getting ready to support XMAS ha ha.

14 is very good considering the 1/12 bump seemed like it was missing its impact (looking at Spotify numbers as a guide, Monday’s streams for SB were 100k less than Sunday) though that could be a Spotify issue. Be great if it could hold onto top 20, would need to climb closer to the Amazon top ten I guess but it’s hovering around 20 or just inside.

If it continues to rack up 2600 average a day that’s 18,200 for the week….guess there’ll be a drop off despite today being 1/12 but looking good for top 20 or well inside top 30.

Today’s mids will be enlightening if we’re lucky to obtain sales data. 16 on Amazon music, still behind 11 or so perennials but that should be high SCR streams. Once the AlexaSpam kicks in as people more frequently request ‘Christmas Music’ it should go top 10….1st December falling on a Monday may mean the spam boost will comes later once people are returning from work.

That’s very good news, hopefully all the data has been reported same as last year…but even if stuff is missing that’s a giant improvement.

Must be a glitch that Wham is absent from their chart because I expect it is actually the current number 1 streamed song on Amazon.

Hopefully XMAS can keep chipping its way up the Amazon top 20 ahead of all the perennial favourites. Maybe it’s a bit behind Tom Grennan same stage but generally the trajectory of these exclusives is that they take a few weeks to overcome the older tracks. Taking of which Santa Baby is at 89 on their chart this morning. Mariah is now number 1 and Wham! are still absent ha ha.

It’ll be an interesting week starting with first look that’s for sure. The streams in general will probably be larger over the weekend than through the week. The week after leading up to Christmas will be the giant one. I guess if it’s close they’ll need to drip feed downloads/ flog them cheap Monday/ Tuesday to make up for the reporting lag from Spotify. I suppose if they’ve done well with the physicals and the Alexa spam is in full flow along with it prominently on all their playlists they might have a very large lead. If the video is Amazon streaming exclusive this year perhaps Prime/ Music can spam the video hard for chart streams too.
