  1. Received today it’s a good vinyl. Shame the inner sleeves aren’t better and the packaging could be more generous. 2 vinyl shoehorned in each side of the gatefold.
  2. The demo has been on YouTube for years. Gary’s is better but you can hear the BS era sound within Madonna’s version. Hopefully the soon to released version is remastered and smartened up.
  3. Should have already reached its lowest level this week.
  4. It’s on a few good Spotify playlists so whilst it won’t have a bumper year it might go top 100 again especially the week leading to Christmas Day. A million sales should happen fairly soon in December.
  5. Without meaning to state the bleeding obvious does that roughly equate to 215k of premium streams?
  6. Nice to see the impact of all those Amazon high placements and of course the Alexa spam. Expect it will disappear rest of the week but given the cold snap it might hold on.
  7. Let’s hope it holds through the week with big rises each weekend as Christmas madness takes over. The UK cold snap this week is going to help ha ha.
  8. The HMV version has a sticker on the image stating it ALREADY comes with a signed art card.
  9. Amazon accounts for about 25% of the UK music streaming market, second to Spotify that has just under 50%. Didn’t realise Amazon was so strong.
  10. I really enjoy Too Much of a Good Thing and LGTI title track too. IFYWWK was a good choice at the time but it’s not one I listen too very often. It’s very by the numbers. Word Is Out and Finer Feelings album and BIR versions are underrated gems.
  11. XMAS is included high up on loads of Amazon playlists already but it’ll need the Alexa spam to kick in to start joining the perennials. One thing to remember is it’s on SCR which should help it chart once the numbers significantly ramp up. Where’s Gwen and the other Amazon exclusives past and present on the Amazon chart? I can’t seem to see it on my app but I’m using prime access not unlimited.
  12. In Your Eyes does flex up and down quite a bit but it overtook Higher’s total streams yesterday!
  13. Oh god, though slightly weird timing. I’m happy with my Sainsbury’s blue one. That was a fun day tracking it down!
  14. ‘Limited Vinyl’ That’s going to be a draw for the fans. I can’t be arsed going to London though, sorry Kylie ha ha.
  15. Is that the first time we’ve seen ‘the dance’?
  16. Given the Amazon exclusivity nothing including XMAS will be stocked in the shop unless it’s in partnership with Amazon. That said they could stock the single because it’s out for streaming, they’ve just delayed the physicals to impact Christmas chart week.
  17. Finally ordered a copy of the vinyl, at £33 seemed a good deal and I’m sure at some point the stock will sell out.
  18. Ordered on Amazon for just £10….think I’d seen it at £8 the other week but forgot to order. Anyway it’s great to finally own. They must have produced way too many. Though wasn’t it £30 plus originally which is very expensive.
  19. Yep the success of this will be mostly down to people asking Alexa to play Christmas music. It’s still a bit early although of course the daily streams for Christmas songs are rapidly increasing.
  20. Hopefully that’s a rolling week chart or something as it’s only been available since Wednesday.
  21. Useful Jay, thank you. With Christmas Day falling on a Thursday likely means it will be far and away the biggest sales week for XMAS. Looks as though the dates are similar to when Ellie Goulding took number 1 (Christmas Day Wednesday) Boxing Day streams are usually decent before the rapid tail off but should still chart ok that following week just a big drop in chart position. I can’t see XMAS being the actual Christmas number one announced 19/12…despite the physicals. The Alexa spam won’t be as prominent.
  22. 30 years, for the love of god! Time is flying by.
  23. Takes me right back to 2005 and dancing around my old kitchen to this non stop masterpiece.
  24. The end goes on and on in a very good way. Layered background vocals help it build and yes it’s nothing groundbreaking but a very well crafted Christmas song. Using Amazon music for the first time I can now understand why certain tracks by Kylie are achieving certs….the discover Kylie playlist is very prominent. Hopefully LCA is picking up the numbers by being track 5. Shame there’s no listener stats.
