  1. It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
  2. Ultimately only fans are buying physicals these days, a small but decent vinyl collecting market too. Otherwise even the £1 CD in Poundland aren’t bought. Streaming has taken most of the casual market share.
  3. Poor Into the Blue, it’s declined fast since it started out well. IWGC definitely benefited long term following its use on RuPaul years ago. The PWL hits were added later to streaming and I think many of the tracks took a while to gain traction…Turn it into Love one of them, as is SBIT.
  4. A price reduction for an act like Kylie should be more successful than for Dermot but I totally agree, after the initial rush it’ll be trickle sales thereafter. Just look at Adele’s 30…CD and Vinyl hugely reduced and whilst it helped on top of solid streaming, people still don’t want to buy it despite her stature and previous success.
  5. I really like the album as a whole, Into the Blue is stunning and Les Sex is all deep beats and electro. I’ve never written the album off because it wasn’t popular. Her live vocals were peak level at the Maida Vale gig and she was in peak shape on the tour. Gold circle or whatever it was called, was brilliant. Much better than paying stupid amounts for a seat close to the stage.
  6. Surprised it’s not in the mids but I guess it’s another indication of how rubbish the physical market is and how streaming favours established albums with many hits/ best of albums.
  7. It had to be Padam. A work of art!
  8. Over 147k streams is ace…it peaked at 171k in the summer so pretty good going! Can’t wait to see the total later.
  9. Chosen 70m plus. Just needs to stay on some good playlists and be added to others. Santa Baby will be knocked down to 3rd sooner than usual given the big daily numbers Head and Padam are achieving.
  10. Up to 27 on the rolling airplay chart. Only 8 non Christmas songs above it so hopefully top ten by Friday and another week on the A list please. Houdini at 1 and it’s been on the A list for longer.
  11. It’s had a solid year and added to its total. Pleased it’s still streaming highly and on enough playlists still. I’d love to know what At Christmas and the other popular tracks have ‘sold’ now.
  12. Come on Padam! We love you ha ha.
  13. Least we know it’s well inside the top 200. Probably it’s best showing outside of the vinyl repress.
  14. Read on the chart forum that no reset to SCR are permitted next week. Though Padam’s streams generally have risen in December except for Christmas and the final run in. I’m hoping for a big rise in streams this weekend and next week.
  15. Surprised she’s not top ten….hopefully some further sales data will be released.
  16. Thank you Jay….SQ good chance this week given the strong numbers for numerous tracks not just the highest 2.
  17. 0.7 million live viewers apparently.
  18. Surprised they haven’t reduced the standard already but nice move up for Tension Deluxe….Extended is a good deal too. Almost 4 million for SQ Christmas Day, been a good return for the whole album. Weird how Christmas Wrapping massively improved. Must have been moved up a playlist or something. In previous years it was collecting good numbers but dropped back until a few days ago.
  19. Hoping the Christmas Day numbers are similarly great…4.7 million for Snow Queen on Christmas Eve! Eartha’s SB over 5 million on Christmas Eve…that’s huge thanks to that Christmas Hits playlist.
  20. I remember the SQ release was quite tricky to find instore. CD sales were declining fast….at that time vinyl was far less popular too….am surprised they chose to repress the original 2015 KC on black vinyl when they should have just gone for a limited SQ double vinyl in green and red or something. Sure it would have sold out if they said 5000 only for say £25-30.
  21. 2023 has been a total shit show for her.
  22. As SmileyK says, a very good sign of a crossover hit in the space of 7 months, especially for an older artist.
