The end goes on and on in a very good way. Layered background vocals help it build and yes it’s nothing groundbreaking but a very well crafted Christmas song. Using Amazon music for the first time I can now understand why certain tracks by Kylie are achieving certs….the discover Kylie playlist is very prominent. Hopefully LCA is picking up the numbers by being track 5. Shame there’s no listener stats.

XMAS has two weeks where it has a strong chance of number 1….the week of the physicals (Christmas chart) and the week after….all depends if the Alexa spam pays off. If it does we’re looking at high sales too, well over 200k. Think the album could exceed 20k and I’ve gone top 3 because I didn’t check who else is releasing that week. Also there could be a surprise release that cleans up on streaming. Otherwise Fully Wrapped could reach number 1 because of the extra Amazon exclusive formats. It’s also priced very reasonably for a new vinyl (and CD). Sadly I think that means no gatefold!

Only just realised I can listen via my Amazon prime membership….its not Amazon Unlimited but no adverts and I can pick what I listen to. Quite frankly I don’t know why unlimited is worth it.

Christmas Day falls on a Thursday so the single physicals will be included on the Friday chart announced prior. X.M.A.S. Streams will be higher the chart announced Boxing Day. In fact that’s going to be a massive streaming week as it will include everything up to Christmas Day. Also no estimated streams as Amazon usually reports all its data on time with no lag.

In response to SmileyKylie…. No the physical singles for XMAS are available separately on Amazon in addition to the Green Vinyl and Green Fully Wrapped CD that also include XMAS as track 2. No other album physicals contain XMAS.

XMAS is super catchy and reminds me of the 80s tension tracks but with the Christmas dial set to max.

An album that really benefits being listened to in track order. Really enjoying it, Lily back to her narrative lyrical best. What a delicious takedown!

Really enjoyed hearing Lily’s album in its entirety earlier today. Her ex sounds ‘delightful’. She deserves the strong streaming numbers. Not sure if it’s an album I’ll listen to often but it’s one that benefits from entire listens in the given track order. Pussy Palace though is the most commercial and my fave so far.

My Bedtime Stories vinyl is heavyweight 180g black. Packaging could be better, cover art is a little blurry. This latest reissue looks better except for the vinyl itself.

WTWRG must be like IYE in that it’s higher Spotify and YouTube streams are more from mainland Europe/ rest of the world. WTWRG didn’t sell much on release either…which was totally baffling at the time because it’s such a fine track.

All The Lovers is such a special track in her discography. Though for some reason I thought it already was platinum. Anyway bring on the certs. I’m manifesting Gold for IYE and the KMO album next.

Pleased Kylie added a verse and joins in on the outro. Listened to some of her other tracks, the Anitta Illegal collab is good too.

Strange it’s not a double vinyl. Right on Time seems rather basic especially the lyrics. Can see why it was never released previously.

Never heard of this artist but just listened to Stateside and I like it, good collaboration.

Saw the thread back and hoped for a Gold Cert! I’ve been streaming it on a loop a few times to try and help it along ha ha.

Infinite disco was just the vinyl and digital. The live CD and DVD/ BD only ever included as part of the Guest List 5 disc set so those sales were never attached. Also it was released 16 months later so it didn’t clash with the GLE release and maybe because of the ‘one time only’ broadcast thing back in 2020. Golden Live had no Blu-ray, very odd. Just the store exclusive media book and the digipack version or whatever they call it. They waited almost a year too I guess not to clash with the SBIT releases. KMO Live was a good, fast release. Think there was both Blu-ray and dvd packages along with a live cd. It’s great they’ve released the Tension tour so quickly digitally. Showgirl Homecoming’s CD was released super fast back in 2007 but otherwise there’s usually a wait. I do think it’s strange there’s no DVD etc yet for Tension Live but maybe the plan is to release it separately alongside this Netflix show. So a bit similar to what they did with Homecoming/ White Diamond.

Wonder if a Blu-ray will be announced? Perhaps not as it would usually be bundled with the CD. Perhaps they’re still editing it and when ready it’ll be broadcast/ streaming only.

Happy days, I remember buying it in the big WHSmith in Manchester. A moderate commercial success but it paved the way for a sold out OANLT tour and then the mega Fever era. I loved that it achieved a new lease of life on the album chart in 2002 too. Shame it’s not near 2 x platinum as it deserves it.

Hopefully it’ll be added onto legacy playlists and regain in the coming years. It’s still probably viewed as a ‘new’ track so is dropping off ‘current hits’ playlists. Otherwise it’s still attracting solid numbers despite the tour effect waning etc.

Recall there being a few CD single reissues during the 90s but the sales would have been small. Think HMV etc would have catalogue singles in stock in small numbers in the larger stores. The good old days.
