Love how HOTN CDcsn be added to the basket but the image still says sold out. Useless.

Yep in HMV there’s no obvious chart displays…recent and prominent albums are displayed equally as most people just go in and buy purposefully, casual sales are a rapidly diminishing occurrence. I’d like a proper vinyl sale though….most albums are just priced so high in HMV, catalogue vinyl was often under £20 pre COVID, now the same albums are £30 etc.

Agree guys…think we all appreciate the chart is so playlist dominated that any chart entry is a bonus. This song could have had further bonus weeks too, even top 40, but the bundle balls up couldn’t have been executed much worse…physical dispatches accidentally split over three weeks…obviously that worked for Padam but only because that had unprecedented streaming success.

Tension and hope TWDFL is a single. That or Vegas High.

Sales in the top 5 are all higher than when Kylie reissue started at 3 so hopefully we’ll see some sales data.

Fingers crossed…we need it combining ha ha…the mixes alone will be out of the official top 40 given Kylie reissue fell from 3 to 30.

Yes it’s streaming is much lower isn’t it, so even the vinyl isn’t enough…plus perhaps it’s sold less vinyl than the other two. Counting those bundled CD and cassette into last weeks chart was the final nail…a shame as her performance on the show was extra special with the choir and her explanation of the song.

It’s streaming has improved because of Spotify unwrapped, it might be off ACR as of last week…that along with Sunday’s downloads could have caused a re entry. Also because the vinyl has come so much later maybe it’s allowed, no other formats are available to buy.

Hasn’t this happened previously to other artists and the numbers are combined during the week?

Not sure how it works but think they don’t include catch up and plus one viewers in those first figures. I watched it on catch up and sped through the ads after watching strictly haha. ITV morning shows focusing on the IAC winner etc this morning. Should be a nice trickle effect through the week and when it’s showed again on Boxing Day.

Both the Tension CD had 500 plus copies sold past month but now 800 plus since last night. Extended and Pink vinyl gone from 50 to 200 plus. Hope this is a true figure and we see it reflected in the official chart figures…perhaps a 1000 extra physical sales since the show. Crazy how far physical sales have fallen over the years though!

Let’s hope the albums stay good for a bit. Could have three in Friday’s top 200 if we factor in Snow Queen. Be interesting to see what impact Extension makes in today’s midweek…the promo should mean Tension won’t fall too far during the week, perhaps even gain.

HOTN at 19 now, Tension 48….Tension definitely suffering from the Strictly clash. Padam 13…. it just continues to surprise.

Streaming question…for the U.K…are the new extended versions combined with the original shorter Tension tracks or does that make the Tension album 25 tracks, so the top16 streamed tracks are used for the album chart?

Her daily streams are so big at the moment….wonder what her best ever Spotify day currently is? Expect it’s a recent Christmas Day though not sure when kworb starting listing her tracks…either way she almost hit 3 million total on Friday. Can’t see an entry yet for Extension, assume they’ll be included in the Tension album total streams on kworb. SQ almost 1.3 million and that’s with Santa Baby having a slightly below average year…the other tracks are making up the difference.

Of all her Christmas tracks she sings that one…..given it’s a hits and Tension showpiece then she should sing her actual Christmas hit Santa Baby…she sings SB so well too, Let it Snow is just a nothing song.

I listened on YouTube and won’t be listening again unless it goes on Spotify…I’ll skip it after 30sec.

Love the new intros and isolated vocals.

Just listening through for the first time…Vegas High seems the best extension, intro works really well. Why is 10/10 greyed out, weirdness!!! Will enjoy listening to it with the headphones when out running.

Think all will go top 30 with maybe HOTN top 20, purely because it’s far less likely to have been heard already.

Plenty will record it and fast forward through the adverts to catch up! That’s what I do haha. Good it’s being shown in other regions in the coming weeks…required promo on TV.

Hopefully it can hold on as the streams usually drop back during the week.
