Actually just looked back and I bought it on the Tuesday night week one for 59p…..so it was reduced during the first full week.

The Extended Mix was initially added on the Thursday week one wasn’t it, 75p? Just looked at Jay’s summaries and it looked to have added about 1500 sales perhaps…can’t remember when the single version was reduced to 59p. This new one is 99p so it’ll be interesting to see what numbers it manages…there’s been so many twists and turns it’s hard to remember all of them ha ha.

So she could sell over 23k this week if the download adds at least 1000 sales. Should be enough for 9 or 10.

Cheers hun. So 2k plus down on last Wednesday and about the same as the previous Wednesday before the cassettes were added. Weird how sales must be down in general for her still to be 9.

Another week with something new then! Maybe my successful run of chart predictions will continue haha. Why do they only release to her store though to download? Obviously it’s easy for them to do but is it that once they add it to other download sites they also add to streaming too?

Crazy how it’s being so ignored, she worked with SIA and Pharrell, surely those were career highlights. Guess it just doesn’t resonate enough within her back catalogue. Music business is brutal haha.

Were the EFY cassette and vinyl initially both £10? The cassette is so overpriced, guess the ‘art card’ added value. I’ve not opened the sealed vinyl yet. Wonder how many they have left? It sold ok didn’t it, surprised it never sold out, especially now it’s just £8 for the 2 plus delivery. The PP vinyl might be £5 but given vinyl is generally sold at a much higher start point these days for all artists it’ll likely be £10 as people are used to paying more for such a niche fan product. As can be seen with the leftover Infinite Disco, Extended Disco and GLE, despite huge price drops, casual fans don’t buy them.

This is the first week in a while where there’s nothing new so it’s mainly down to streaming and solid downloads….her downloads in particular have been doing so well.

Nice gains worldwide….really hope it breaks a million per day. Plenty do and PP deserves it too.

Looks as though some data is missing because she was on 8400 streaming sales last Monday….though of course it was doing better on Spotify and perhaps the extended/ video was probably contributing more.

9 is great….must be data missing though so I need this to be in Kylie’s favour or else my run of chart predictions will come to an end ha ha

There was an interview with Ina on Radio 4 where she said her and Lostboy wrote the song on Jan 22, with Kylie in mind. Think the interview was about three weeks ago. Kylie since confirmed this in that Capital Radio interview. She said she recorded her own vocals on it in Jan 22, then recorded loads of further tracks, but never forgot Padam. I also have in my head that Lostboy also gave an interview where he says the inspiration was various Kylie tracks. Might be making this up…it’s been a Padamic overload the last 7 weeks post the initial leak ha ha ha.

Oh I asked where you were a week or so ago and someone suggested you had changed your user name to ‘Padamic Tension’…which confused me as it wasn’t your writing style. Welcome back.

Thanks for all the data everyone. Hopefully the better playlist positions are going to help the UK Spotify numbers improve again….still has loads of potential, despite its success so far. Would be so interesting to see the numbers from other streaming sites.

Thank you. We won’t have 1500 cassette sales so fingers crossed there’ll still be an overall sales increase. Was hoping for 25k plus streams this week but looks more like 22.5k…still great though.

Problem with comparing midweek stream data is stuff often missing. The latest midweeks seem to have YouTube data missing…though at least the week on week streaming data is up, it’s just dropped behind a little on Spotify the last two days.

So looks like 26/27k this week….streaming improvements made up the reduction in physical sales and downloads held up well. So the CD sold out? Missed that!
