Totally agree. Tied it all in with the tour announcements. There might be a radio single coming soon or early next year but given she’s had the three collabs and LCA receiving A list Radio 2 attention it’s unlikely. They’ll just maximise the Australia leg to stir up some hype to try and sell as many tickets in the venues that have not sold out. The tour effect and T2 release has improved her overall streaming too.

35k sales week one totally eclipses the Guest List Edition week one. No doubt long term the Tension era will outsell Disco. UK and worldwide. Especially with the future tour effect.

Probably most of the sales were from that signing session ha ha

Tension II is more fun but Tension is a stronger collection. Tension II hopefully will collect more streams long term outside of Padam of course.

Also Dancing did well on UK streaming. There was an OCC report not so long ago and it was high up. Together with strong downloads it helped it go silver. She promoted the era much more too. …that said surely Magic and Real Groove are close and Tension too. Say Something seemed to drop back by comparison but who knows it may have done better UK only.

The US figure is baffling…surely they dispatched the majority of pre orders? Can’t be that many missing. Maybe US is weighted much more to streaming so that physical sales make less of an impact? Re the UK midweek it’s hard to see but not at all surprising. Week two sales are vanishing for almost everyone and even with price drops it’s not enough to compensate for the base streaming that keeps the classic studio albums and greatest hits collections forever in the top 100. If they’d saved the extended mixes this week it would easily have kept her top 20 because it would guarantee 3000 sales….but they wanted to improve global chart positions with it. Just imagine (no pun intended), Tension 2 would have missed the US top 100 otherwise. Probably why they released it last week.

Biggest perhaps not most successful.

Well we know that platinum certification is coming fairly soon. Wish we had a total for the Tension single, oh and the Disco ones too ha ha.

2 on sales is decent. Also let’s not forget some of the CD and cassette will be delivered with the vinyl.

Chance Tension will go Gold this year? T2 going to take a while to reach silver but it should do next year.

Nice spread of figures. Good promo for the tour tickets and hopefully the tour effect will boost streaming and sales over the coming months.

Praying for top 20! Read a suggestion that the streaming figures are lower than expected because the collabs are credited to the main artist albums. Of course, there’s no extra royalties if two albums receive streaming points for the same song but any album will definitely drop fast without streams.

Ace news re the Aussie Number 1. She’s combining promo for the tour with TII and to do that most successfully she needs to spend time in the US. UK is virtually sold out but in the Americas tens of thousands of tickets need selling so there’s a much bigger potential return. More lucrative than selling a thousand extra vinyl etc. Who knows she may have a couple of big TV show performances planned in November before she takes time off before rehearsal begins. Depends how many tickets are left in Europe/ Asia/ South America. I hope she has downtime scheduled as we need her fit and fresh for the tour. That’s most important.

I need to rearrange them and upload to my running watch and listen to them properly….but for £4.99 I’m not really complaining. Even though I never download, except occasionally for Kylie of course.

Haha. Just bought the extended digital alongside the cassette, plus added a LCA CD and Tension album cassette. Ooops. The quality of the downloads is so much stronger than Spotify, loving the extended versions.
