Praying for top 20! Read a suggestion that the streaming figures are lower than expected because the collabs are credited to the main artist albums. Of course, there’s no extra royalties if two albums receive streaming points for the same song but any album will definitely drop fast without streams.

Ace news re the Aussie Number 1. She’s combining promo for the tour with TII and to do that most successfully she needs to spend time in the US. UK is virtually sold out but in the Americas tens of thousands of tickets need selling so there’s a much bigger potential return. More lucrative than selling a thousand extra vinyl etc. Who knows she may have a couple of big TV show performances planned in November before she takes time off before rehearsal begins. Depends how many tickets are left in Europe/ Asia/ South America. I hope she has downtime scheduled as we need her fit and fresh for the tour. That’s most important.

Haha. Just bought the extended digital alongside the cassette, plus added a LCA CD and Tension album cassette. Ooops. The quality of the downloads is so much stronger than Spotify, loving the extended versions.

Looks like it’ll make about 2200 on streams, whilst not great, if it makes 1000 plus next week it won’t plummet out of the top 75. Plus this is much more profitable and successful than a repack like GLE. Sales are already way higher and she’s sold 500,000 plus concert tickets at the same time.

How are they flogging them? Will definitely buy that in the future if it's reduced. Good idea adding the signed print to the CD but they should have added it to the CD bundle to maximise the benefit. Though just looked and can't see any Tension II on Townsend, plus the Kylie store now shows the print with the clear vinyl, and no standard Tension 2 CD shows whatsoever.

Already 8600 vinyl sold in the UK with just three options. However, I agree vinyl variants sell better if limited as it is still a niche market that is being exploited by all artists. Market for vinyl has probably risen but the amount available to buy has increased more. I guess the issue is worldwide sales are needed so they don’t state the amount made. UK is her biggest market, could easily have released a ‘UK only’ picture disc with 4000 made. Would fly out.

It’s behind Tension on streaming though? That had 1675 streaming sales on the Monday update. I guess one less track makes a small difference too. Though I think this album might pick up more streams (excluding PP) long term due to the short tracks, the collabs and the tour coming along and it being the latest release. Just noticed that over 1100 digital sales yesterday, so the extended download made a fair difference as it was on 1600 sales beforehand! They’ve also bundled the extended download with all of the Tension II formats on her store. Good move.

3000 sales or so is needed for top 40, good chance Tension II will be about that or higher week 2. It’s collecting some streams, unlike many other top ten studio album entries. Physical sales for everyone plummet week 2 but a thousand or so, plus decent streaming sales, is enough to stay top 100.

Decent numbers considering there’s fewer vinyl, cassette and no deluxe CD. Also there’s far less anticipation because of the 4 collabs. Will look back at the first Tension midweek breakdown…I am hopeful that long term the streams of this will be better than Tension bar PP.

Seems as though most artists throw everything at week one whilst the hype is highest. Coldplay released extras week one despite knowing they had over 200k physical orders ha ha. Also, not just UK focused, might help more in other territories to reach better chart positions.

Monday’s mids will be interesting. Don’t think it’ll add many sales through the week but hope I’m wrong on that. Turquoise vinyl, print and CD arrived late afternoon yesterday, very nice. Shame the vinyl isn’t heavier but these transparent ones usually are the lighter type. Playing them later. Prefer the look of the banana yellow one, the BL red one was a chunkier vinyl and both aren’t transparent. Clear vinyl is advertised as 140g so it’ll be like the Infinite Disco one which is excellent quality.

Hoping RM deliver mine today, it’s saying it’s at the local hub.

I hope those figures are genuine, thank you for sharing Dawid. I’m not surprised, the pre sale code has helped make up for the lack of the deluxe CD. Probably will finish in the region of 35k, hopefully streaming for this, whilst not particularly high, will long term be better than Tension. Though that 3 CD option might have given the numbers a bigger boost than a deluxe! Those Rag n Bone sales seem too low. Could be data missing at this early stage. Strange how the signed print offer is still available….either she signed a thousand or people aren’t willing to pay £30 for the vinyl. They should pair it with the three CD bundle as that would be much better for chart purposss.
