My Kylie Greatest Hits playlist now over 23,000 saves on Spotify, added 200 today. It usually adds 20/30 per day. Fingers crossed the Netflix effect is a lasting one.

About to sign up to Netflix…is it worth the extra to sign up to the 4k option?

Surely this and Aphrodite going to sell the most, especially X Blue.

You called it straightaway, definitely influenced me to buy before bedtime hahahahaha. As you say it’s the one we all want. So much going on re Kylie it’s like I’ve been padammed hard on the head this morning.

The 4th of the fabulous ROL run. Loved the DNA mix but the album version is quality PWL…so much more accomplished than their work for other artists on the label. Kylie was fighting a commercial drop off at the time, the songs should have done initially much better than they did but thankfully they’ve remained a treasured part of her history.

Starts off Coldplay then becomes Kylie, especially the last third. She is marked as a producer too. That’s great to see. Guess it was a Chris/ Coldplay record, Kylie rewrote the lyrics and then it was expanded along with Duck, Biff and Luke. A definite grower, first listen all I heard was Coldplay but further listens reveal the layers. The lyrics seem initially simple but the Kylie heart is beating all the way through.

Story hits totally different now, it’s thrown me, I always thought it was a reference to the 2005 diagnosis and her overcoming adversity in general. Of course, the message was always there in the song that it was a new battle but she didn’t let the world know this time. Incredible.

Sold out already!??!??!? That’s crazy. Fortunately saw it as I was going to bed and almost thought I’d buy in the morning. Thankfully something inside me told me not to wait, probably missing out on the tour vinyl!

Pre ordered the blue X (her store postage annoying but needs must as it is likely to sell out) and Aphrodite…for now. All on Amazon / HMV etc so plenty of options.

Jeez! So 2021. She was busy that year post Disco/ pre Guest List. Hopefully given we saw her many times she was able to nip it in the bud quickly.

Praying for a close to 10% rise for today’s streams. Incredible how the TikTok trend has such an impact but expect these things don’t last that long….just need it to combine with Netflix for maximum effect.

Weird, the music store is still accessible but nothing new on there just all the previous music products that they have in stock.

No vinyl just the standard tracks split across 4sides. I only have the red box one, there was a standalone vinyl too not sure if it was double vinyl though.

Yes they don’t seem to be limited. If they do offer store exclusives they’re going to struggle to sell standard black vinyl to the general public but bring it all on.

Quite strange how these keep popping in and out for pre order. £23.99 seems quite inexpensive just like the Fully Wrapped ones. So no gatefold and lighter vinyl? Would have thought they’d have offered deluxe limited edition treatment. My KMO red box vinyl is heavyweight and fabulous. Fingers crossed for store exclusives.

Don’t think they sit and watched it. More a launch event, promo opportunity with a few celebs. Just good PR for news articles etc. At those big scale red carpet Film premieres I do think many stay and watch but many celebs are just there for the red carpet.

Seeing her talk emotionally about it at the premiere was good to watch. I don’t think it’s going to be positioned as a hit single but rather a special song purely to accompany the documentary.

That is quite weird but should there be a collaboration coming maybe it’s a strategy to wait closer to the album release to generate further PR.

Let the trend continue and along with Netflix it could start to easily surpass 1 million daily very soon.

Never ceases to amaze how low the daily numbers are for Slow. It’s a ‘Klassic’.

Chose Diamonds but almost went with Shudder at the Spelling. T2 is mostly pretty surface level dance pop but it’s a fun and furious listen from start to finish.
