United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2023
The full tele-voting figures are out and we did appallingly. Pretty much bottom 2 in every country. Glad it’s looking to be top 10 though!

This is a lot of energy for a song competition. Like does it really matter? It’s supposed to be a fun night with some good music. No one’s career should be over because they had a bit of a bad result. She’s also already got a huge song with nearly 400m streams so I’m sure she’ll be fine.

United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2023
The worst thing about us doing so poorly is we will probably not be sending a female bop again for a while. It’ll be a male power vocalist similar to Sam singing a ballad. Mae will be fine and the song will probably be a hit so won’t really affect her. She was never going to win anyway so no one will care tomorrow where she came.

Oh I take it back she actually sounded great at the jury’s vote. Someone listened to the feedback at least! @1657280429844570112

The BBC and Tap management are the ones who picked her and promoted her. So whoever is watching this performance and is in charge of the backing vocals are the ones that need to fix it. I wrote BBC as I don’t know the exact name of her sound engineer.

Really disappointed that this is the reaction now. I agree btw. Just disappointed with the BBC for not fixing these issues, it would be fine with some backing vocals added in. She’s fine on the verses but the chorus sounds so flat. We’ll only be getting points out of appreciation for hosting for Ukraine I feel.

Jesy Nelson - Bad Thing • 2nd single
The song is unbelievably bland. Don’t think this will do anything for her I’m afraid.

Electro Velvet is the worst song I’ve ever heard possibly. How anyone can hear that and put it above any of our other entries is beyond me.

This isn’t terrible, it’s basic though. I’ve listened to live clips of her on YouTube and I’m not impressed with her live vocal which is concerning. I think 15-20 placing is on the cards for this.

I wish but I feel we’re in for disappointment

The Buzzjack Friday Chart Show Thread: 9th December 2022
I’m not a massive fan of the Raye song but what an incredible f*** you to her old label. Hope she gets it!

Terrifier 2
I absolutely loved the first one. It had the right tone and was great for the budget it had. The second one is genuinely awful and such a step down. Little to no plot, everything left unanswered. Gore for the sake of gore and completely unrealistic deaths. Too long as well, so disappointed.

Nope. Just no.

Spotify & Apple Music Chart Discussion
Yeah 100% on this idea. PopJustice do one and it’s the only one I really use as it’s more catered to my taste.
