Was expecting it tbh to squeeze a few more sales - Townsend always seem content to sit on warehouses full of stock but thought we’d see a reduction at Amazon.

They always knows this was going to be a very UK centric campaign - they didn’t even attempt any promo outside of the UK market, they also know that their efforts are rewarded in the UK when they focus on it. Anyway… giving XMAS my final streams today, snatch that January Top 40

Guessing they must be pretty happy with numbers left - there was no reductions on Amazon etc., I’m sure it’ll get a few trickle sales and price cut during the year.

Parlophone got burned by their re-issue of KC on vinyl and flogging them for £8 on Amazon 🤣

So for XMAS to be at #13 on the Bubbling Under chart that means it’s probably at around #117-120 region - so close to snatching a Top 100 stateside

Honestly this! It’s far too soon for a GH - especially after the last one was to celebrate/cash in on Glastonbury. I’m guessing for the 40th anniversary in music in a few years they’ll wheel another out, I just hope apart from a standard release that they also trawl the vaults for the fans. On the note of GH - Ultimate Kylie is by far the best, I wish they had kept it in print for longer.

Gave Kylie 88 a full stream last night - the nostalgia. It’s a such a pop album of its time but I still love it and it paved the way for everything that came after.

Hopefully it’ll get some trickle sales throughout the year and I’m sure Amazon will do their usual and reduce the physicals to stupid prices mid year before it hopefully returns with a bang next Christmas.

It’s still December so dutifully streaming XMAS 😆 Just pleased it’s not going to plummet 4-out and we should have another Top 40 week.

Now passed 5 million on YouTube! I really hope Parlophone/Team Kylie exploit XMAS to the max before it moves to ACR to try and get it into the public consciousness and help it become a reoccurring festive fave.

Really wasn’t expecting it to be Top 5 in today’s mids with all the missing data added from elsewhere, really hope it’s done enough to hold onto a Top 20 place - although regardless I’m over the moon it’ll clock up another Top 40 week before disappearing.

38th anniversary of ISBSL - the song that started it all for me (and I still love it now). It’s incredible that she’s just celebrated another #1 - her enduring success in the UK really shows how much we’ve taken to her as our own.

I think it’s a combination - people generally enjoying the song/video, the only place outside of Amazon to hear it, curiosity streams (OCC are still plugging it as being in the running for #1 this week) etc

Agree - it seemed to get a lot of love at the time but I see so many negative comments about the Golden album on SH. It’s one of my favourite Kylie albums and I love ‘Dancing’ - especially as they pushed for a Too 40 for it too.

Giving all the versions my streams today on low while I WFH, snatch that extra week in the Top 40 XMAS!

The record companies will always accept a reset - more visibility if they are #16 in a chart versus #98 plus it helps with radio play etc.,

Even though they won’t add a lot the physicals are still selling - the CD is #33 in the main Amazon chart (the album is also still #6!).
