Even with RMI on ACR with now shocking sales are for the whole Top 10 it’ll still be a challenger next week ☠️☠️

Literally anything for #1 - anything at all apart from the horrific ‘Great Expectation’. Was hoping Dolly would’ve held up better on Spotify - I guess with such a huge back catalog streams are being spread out across multiple songs.

Interested to see how Bananarama do with the 40th anniversary of ‘True Confessions’. They have several £4.99 download versions, individual signed covers, indie signed exclusives, vinyl etc.,

I think they’ve totally alienated their original core audience and have had diminishing returns with each album - also it feels as if there has been zero promo for this era too. Even with all that factored in I’m shocked they couldn’t pass 5k sales especially when there are around 15+ variants available, it really is a huge underperformance.

^^ If only Dannii had of had a great label behind her to do something like that. AATW were a good label but limited to single success rather than growing artists into successful albums (a few exceptions with the likes of Scooter etc., who they had album hits with). I don’t think they really knew how to handle a ‘popstar’.

I can’t see the Dolly love tailing off anytime soon - the songs were getting good streams prior to her passing and I can see there being a lot of media coverage if ‘Jolene’ is challenging for the #1 ❤️

RT usually list the total amount - for Record Store Day for example they list the amount available in total rather than the amount they have.

Not streamed CD for ages - giving it a play now. I wonder who’s going to be handling the release, assuming AATW still own the rights - it could be another tie up with Cherry Red who handled ‘Girl’ or via AATW’s new label Xploded Music.

I don’t think personally they will do anything. 5k vinyl is minimal and it’s been produced for the fans (and an easy cash generator). Team Madge have already moved back to Danceteria. As for it appearing on a potential Fever physical drop I think there would be more chance of Dannii’s ‘Club Disco’ entering at #1 and going quadruple platinum.

At the time I thought it might be a hit!

I guess that was my point - the album to me very much sounds like it could yield some other hit singles so hopefully the album will build and take off in the future.

Absolutely loving Stella Lefty’s album - it’s massively underperforming on week 1 it seems despite the success of Boston. It’s a really modern country/pop album and there feels like there are at least a few tracks that could be hits so hopefully the album will have some legs in the future.

I was kind of hoping that her label would do something/anything to try and make it happen!
