Really interested to see Alex’s album sales, they seem to be reacting quite early so guessing Dolly is posing a threat? He now has 3 iTunes versions for £4.99 (Standard, Extended, Live), the live version has also been added to his website for the same price, the red vinyl has been reduced to £25 on Amazon. Some of his vinyl variants are pretty expensive which I’m sure is not helping - the confetti vinyl is £77 (!).

Am sure that’s part of it (seems to be a big issue this year with the slowness of the charts) - but based on streams the fanbases haven’t overly embraced it either.

BTDYK forever a classic - wish it got more love from streaming playlists for hits of the 90s etc., - it’s a pop masterpiece.

Wouldn’t be surprised if there is a remix (Madonna has done similar for other songs this era). Just not expecting anything to make any difference to its performance, the GP haven’t taken to it at all and the Kylie/Madonna fans are not streaming it en-masse so a remix won’t make much difference. With the widely reported 5k figure if it is correct then it’s not sold amazingly on vinyl.

Club Disco is definitely going to happen. It doesn’t flow very well as an album as it was cobbled together by AATW but so excited to get it on vinyl. I think Dannii will promote this release too, fingers crossed it can shift enough to creep into the charts.

^^ I don’t think they are that organised - the vinyl release has been chaotic, different release dates for different places etc., and Europe still haven’t had any CDs shipped yet.

PP however love both so won’t be mad if Tension wins.

Come on Ella or Stella - although preference would be Ella (If Dolly is unable to take the #1). Praying Sienna is not even close - far far off being her best work.

Literally anything for #1 - anything at all apart from the horrific ‘Great Expectation’. Was hoping Dolly would’ve held up better on Spotify - I guess with such a huge back catalog streams are being spread out across multiple songs.

Interested to see how Bananarama do with the 40th anniversary of ‘True Confessions’. They have several £4.99 download versions, individual signed covers, indie signed exclusives, vinyl etc.,

^^ If only Dannii had of had a great label behind her to do something like that. AATW were a good label but limited to single success rather than growing artists into successful albums (a few exceptions with the likes of Scooter etc., who they had album hits with). I don’t think they really knew how to handle a ‘popstar’.

I can’t see the Dolly love tailing off anytime soon - the songs were getting good streams prior to her passing and I can see there being a lot of media coverage if ‘Jolene’ is challenging for the #1 ❤️
