What a mammoth task for Kylie and her team to decide on set lists, she has such a back catalogue whilst also trying to balance the new eras and fan favourites that SO much has to get left off!

I’m not convinced CD singles being in shops would help tbh - they are such a niche/fanbase product rather than an impulse purchase. The CD single is essentially a dead format and something for collectors rather than the GP. Postage costa are high but despite complaints about it daily everyone pays it if they want the items.

No surprise but misses the Top 40 in Norway (her last album to chart there was Aphrodite at #16).

Climbed back up to #4 on iTunes so a few sales at least for week , however small it’ll be needed.

All this! As much it’s frustrating for fans with singles I’d much rather BMG continued to focus on album success.

The debate re: BMG as I said previously I can’t think of a better label for Kylie than them. Looking at ‘legacy’ artists that are as long in the game (or longer) than Kylie none are producing constant #1 albums etc., in their main territories with major label backing. Mariah (Epic/Sony), Katy Perry (Capitol), the Warner label are trading off Madonna’s legacy rather than bringing anything new to the table and the Interscope backed Lady Gaga ‘Harlequin’ couldn’t save it from being a global gigantic flop (film soundtrack or not). There is lots of noise about BMG not getting distribution right for the new album in the US but tbh the fact it could’ve been a 17-out rather than a 50 something - out is not going to change the course of her career or American fortunes.

No, they changed it so that you pay the same postage if you order separately or together so that they can split out products from bundles (while Townsend still make ££££ on postage :lol: ).

She’s had more #1s with BMG than with any other label in her career - aside from them buying chart places on placelists to artificially inflate her sales there’s not much more a major label could offer her. She’s better off with BMG who focus on her as one of their main acts, a major would drop her if they didn’t get the results they wanted.
