I’m aware and as has been proven time and time again by ‘legacy’ artists stringing out single releases over several weeks just doesn’t work. Even if they throw out a remix or two next week it won’t be enough to prop it up without streams. We have the lyric video and 3 download versions and now at least a 3 week wait for the physicals. Streaming has already started dropping in week 1 so can’t see support coming en-masse in week 2 from Spotify, Apple etc.,

And the extra tracks thrown onto a CD that came with it!

Streaming won’t grow with next to no playlist support, and it (potentially) limping into the Top 40 won’t change that. The downloads will hopefully seal a Top 40 this week then it’ll plummet straight out. We’ve said it time and time again, with artists like Kylie, Madonna etc., staggered releases don’t work. 3 versions and a lyric video then nothing until September - at best it’ll be 39-72-out-44-out.

I mean so would I - but what a poor result for someone of their statuses teaming up for the first time, if only they’d recorded together 20 years ago.

Amazing start - coming for #39 on Friday though. Just think if they’d got the CDs out this week

21 weeks for RMI - should hold off Wham taking the record for years yet then 🥳

It seems to be performing decently everywhere (Spotify, Apple, Deezer, iTunes).

^^ Agree, although I’m assuming they redesigned the KMO album as they know it’s not held in high regard and a double album would have pushed the price up. I also recieved my X blue vinyl from Townsend today - a day after release as standard for them!.

I can’t help but be slightly disappointed at this - a Kylie/Madge collab has been spoken about for literally years. I love their version but it feels like they could have made more of a moment with it than just an updated version of a track already released, plus physicals not being ready etc., It’s feels like such a wasted opportunity if it is not a hit of some sort. Hopefully First Look and Mondays mids will be good.

I means considering its a Madonna release and Warners haven’t bothered to put it on the Madonna playlist then im not surprised that its not on the Kylie one.

Yes, original Aphrodite is 180g. The standalone KMO vinyl is the same as the boxset version (includes a CD).

The Aphrodite one is the worst - the others are great. I feel as thought they’ve just done a total replica of the original Aphrodite vinyl which is also quite a flimsy sleeve.

Gah at ‘Be Her’ missing the Top 40 only for it to be clogged up with decade old songs by The Killers, Natasha Bedingfield etc

The boxsets are beautiful - I got all of them, standard CD, CD/DVD boxset and Vinyl boxset. I actually got them all when Cherry Red heavily reduced them too, so pleased I did!

All of this - but Warners have not exactly been the best with Madonna single this era.

Looking forward to seeing where these land in the first mids, all the pictures I’ve seen so far is by fans grabbing all 4 standard and the webstore exclusive. I think LY and X will be leading the way, I’m more excited though at the criminally underrated KMO snatching some sales and hopefully finally passing gold!
