Just noticed it’s UK only - not sure if they have better controls to combat people getting around the system on the Townsend website.

Townsend just released more vinyl with signed prints so some extra sales

Anyone had a dispatch for LCA physicals yet - says they will ship from the 17th but mine still show in progress.

My HMV vinyl arrived this morning - Townsend I’m sure will rock up on Monday :drama:

Can’t believe we have a new Kylie album dropping in a few hours! I’m excited but I guess not as much as normal due to it being in such quick succession to Tension, but can’t wait to give it its first play and discover some new favourites.

I was expecting to wake up to see most of the Top 20 taken up by 1D & Liam - looking at iTunes internationally nothing seems to have taken off yet.

I love how the charts were so important to Pete/PWL in the early days - he’s spoke about it a lot (eg: The Reynolds Girls getting dropped after their debut “only” reached #8)

^^ She spent the day pre-recording interviews at her hotel the day she was on The One Show so I think we’ll have lots of pre-recorded interviews but no performances.

Pete Waterman spoke to it a number of times of the years - they wasn’t going to open the album with their biggest act with what they thought was a guaranteed #1 stalling at #2. It’s the reason why some of the early editions have the sleeve with the original track listing and the vinyl with the updated tracklist.

I hope we get a sniff of promo in the UK as it seems as US focused (however I totally get why that is - she has a tour to sell over there versus a sold out UK tour and sales of the album are guaranteed here to a certain extent).

I love the fact they changed the tracklist to the album when WGAT which was going to be the album opener failed to get to #1 - just shows how important chart positions were back then and lol that PWL were not going to let the album open with a #2 peaking single.

I like the album but it’s a mess - you can tell PWL didn’t know what to do with the project or Kylie once the once guaranteed Top 3 hits were not happening. :cheer:

Always loved the artwork and photography from the album - the Cherry Red box set reissue really brings it to life.

I think most head to her website for the signed print, limited editions or to HMV for the exclusive and competition. Sales won’t drop off a cliff for this.
