  1. iTunes #1 Afterhours Mix #7 Radio Edit #54 Radio Edit #102 Madonna Solo #103 Afterhours Mix
  2. Such a stunning release - I was a bit meh about the others as they are identical to the original releases but still good to have (especially for those that wanted them and didn’t want to pay £££). Looking forward to the webstore version of X arriving - I hope it has a hype sticker stating that it’s the blue variant.
  3. Have you downloaded from everywhere? (iTunes, Amazon etc)?

That article is yearning for yesteryear with mentions of TOTP, The Chart Show etc., - music focused TV has long gone. The world has moved on, many chart followers still live in 1994 it seems.

So when a fave of yours releases you’re happy for them to go to #1 in Spain and flop in the UK?

So a song can only go to #1 in one country?
  7. Guessing we are going to get some good early mid positions - I feel like HMV have sold a ton and encouraged people to get all 4 by being the cheapest plus having an additional 10% off the bundle. HMV have sold out of Light Years so guessing that will be a front runner along with X for chart positions?
  8. No - I saw a lot of fans rushed to order from the US etc., before they became available on the UK store so they won’t count toward the UK charts.
  9. A day before release - my 4 vinyl have just been delivered from HMV
  10. I see they’ve upped the CD single price to £2.49 now 🤣
  11. Giving Ella’s ‘Be Her’ some last minute Wednesday streams - it needs to cling onto its Top 40 mid placement.

Would love Choosin Texas to go to #1 - hopefully the label will do something so that it can try and avoid ACR.

    Today #1 Rein Me In (29,035) #2 Shakira/Burna Boy (23,010) #3 Ariana
  14. But it is the longest running based on the criteria they use for the entire charts. The same as when Frankie Laine set the record… “There was no single "official" or scientifically audited UK chart in 1953 and 1954. The rankings published primarily by the New Musical Express (NME) and Melody Maker relied on manually polled small samples of retail shops, making them prone to human error, regional bias, and manipulation. Small Sample Sizes: Polls were taken by telephoning or writing to a limited, hand-picked group of record shops across major cities. Inconsistent Returns: Store owners often guessed sales figures or reported subjective popularity rather than exact till receipts.“
  15. In your opinion - you seem to think you speak on behalf of everyone or present facts.
  16. You’re making it sound like Gary Glitter, Rolf Harris or Jimmy Savile broke the record? And wether people ‘disagree’ with it or not it’s kind of pointless - it will forever feature on the official lists of most weeks at #1 and even if it’s overtaken it’ll still be way up there.
  17. One single live performance potentially not making a song that’s been out for over a year and sold half a million in the USA already reaching a new peak does not indicate it’s ’not clicking with American audiences’.
  18. It worked for Padam when people held back on downloads. Anyway, each to their own - I’ll download when I feel by sales will help the most.
  19. So here for this, so pleased Boston has been a hit in the UK.

The increases have tied in with various points (Press coverage when it was coming close to overtaking Wet Wet Wet & Bryan, Olivia’s tour when Sam joined her for 2 dates, when it initially reached the top a new video came out etc.,).
  21. Interested to see if this starts to take off in the US - it’s been hanging around for a while and reached #64 and been certified gold. Following on from the performance in the States with Olivia, Sam has stayed in the US doing some promo so could see it at least reach a new peak. It’s in the Top 100 on both Spotify and iTunes.
  22. SayHey are pushing for immediate download too - I’ll do the same as I done with Padam and see where I feel my downloads will be best placed and at the moment that’s CD release week unless by some wild stretch this looks like taking off and getting a good placement in week 1.
  23. I’d be shocked if she’s not credited - they know it will engage both fanbases to give them a hit plus she’s credited on the CD singles which makes me think it’ll be that way too for if/when it charts.
  24. Hunsnet have done a post to get them to #1 so they’ll be pushing the downloads from Friday 😩
  25. Physical sales will be really big for this - I’ve snapped up 6 and on the other Kylie sites people seem to be buying between 3-6 copies each, us Kylie fans love a physical. With the combined fanbases this could actually be a hit.
