Was so expecting a low Top 40 this week (Like a ‘Dancing’ level of success) - alas it’s not going to be.

Over the moon they’ve been added to the playlist, not expecting it to reverse the fortunes of the single but pleased they’ve got the nod for R1.

I think we’ll get more but I have a feeling BMG hands have been burnt by the amount of physicals left over from Tension - I’d expect signed variants to come and not a lot else tbh. I’m certain of a #1 though - we know that Kylie can and does shift solid physical sales with each release.

I love that they are trying different things but I think we know unless it goes viral or ends up in the Top 5 of the biggest playlists that a physical drop in week 2 or beyond won’t give the song chart glory - especially when we have the video, remixes and visulizers already. They may throw out another remix but again, it won’t reverse chart fortunes without streaming. Honestly this. Lots of UK promo and she stopped for fans at the hotel before and after R2 and again in the evening, most American stars don’t want to do radio promo let alone give it up for fans multiple times. I’m sure Kylie is still well aware the UK continues to be her biggest market and money spinner.

I think even if physicals are ready to go it’s probably not enough to save it - if it’s down to #35 with 4 x remixes, 4 x remix visulizers, video, The One Show / Radio 1 / Capital promo, tour hype etc., then I’m not convinced a CD single will be enough to offset streaming

#21 is a great start - will obviously free fall unless they drop physicals and ship them this week but assume we’re safe for a Top 75 at the very least.

I guess the initial boost of the 5 remixes, plus video and the video visulizers for the remix and 2 promo slots with the addition of tour excitement have all worked.

Snap - mainly due to the fact streaming date is usually missing which goes in Kylie’s favour.

This poll has got me streaming KC and CL (it is almost Kylie Christmas time though I guess).

And even without physicals it’s streams alone that week would have been enough for #39!

Always loved LY and I think her version of CL is beautiful.

She’s still far ahead at #1 overall with all 5 versions combined.

I think they want all the focus on album pre-order, they’ve given us all the mixes, video and remix visulizers this week to give the song a boost.

Going to do Amazon now too (I’ve done iTunes this morning) - feel this is a week 1 peak and we need that Top 40 snatched :cheer:

To be fair to BMG a vinyl, CD and cassette as a bundle for £15.98 is a decent price.

It’s not bad and fits the album quite well, I think it’s generally disliked though as it was a buzz/lead track to launch the era and a bit of a :nocheer: moment compared to what was to come next.

I think the pre-sale code element will give it a boost (I know you could register for a code without buying the album) but 2 of my friends grabbed a CD to get a code (and they hadn’t bought any physicals of her recent releases) and I saw a post on X where a few people were saying it was the first physicals they’d bought in years to get a code.

Just play the EP on loop so that you are not repeating the same version of the song.
