Not sure BMG care enough - the only time we’ve seen store downloads was for Dancing when it was challenging for the Top 40 and for XMAS in the Christmas #1 fight. Only seems like something they roll out when there is a reason to do so.

Until we got the first update I have to admit I was expecting a comfortable 2nd week in the chart. I wasn’t expecting much, maybe like an 8-72-99-out kinda run but initially I didn’t think we’d see an 8-out (mainly because that almost never ever happens now even though I appreciate it was boosted by physicals and downloads).

This - people can discuss any song of interest or otherwise on the chart (but of course Bore would much rather comment on what other people are talking about rather than add to the conversation or discuss an alternative), and shock horror even when it’s not #1 people might still want to talk about it

Was going to say this - The Cherry Red reissue was stunning, literally nothing else they could have done with it. Plus we had signed bundles, and the AIWD promo CD for the first orders - if ever it was going to repeak it would’ve been then!.

My vinyl hasn’t arrived today from Townsend which is standard for them! Few people have posted them online though and it’s looks stunning 😍

Yes the signed vinyl are free - they will be giving clues what indies have them, he’s signed quite a lot from the videos that have been posted, guess they are doing it to celebrate the #1 and create some online noise (which could help streams!).

They have a competition next week - they are dipping free signed vinyl in random indie record stores so that should get some online activity, It’s dropped around 15-20k a day daily so could easily get a boost next week in such a flat market.

That remix is not it - was looking forward to it but it’s an instrumental 🤣, Can’t see that picking up many downloads.

Think the best we can hope for is for it to appear in the mids. There’s no way it’s going to shift enough to stay Top 100, guessing the vinyl will do 3-5k, the new download might add 250 sales and streaming will add about 75 sales ().
