    Maybe but BMG always do this (They done it with the Disco 7” vinyl etc.,) - I think they have a stock take and then returned items, cancelled orders etc go back out for sale.

    ^^ BMG obviously clearing out their cupboards, they’ve done this with each Kylie release - the signed deluxe was also available too, few extra sales for Tension is always a positive.

    The video won’t do much for it - as you say it looks fun but equally from what I’ve seen so far looks like it was recorded by their mate on an iPhone. To cross over it needs all elements to work - remixes, physicals, promo, radio play, social media/TikTok, streaming support, downloads and some luck.

    Agree with this - she seems to be ‘safe’ in the gold selling territory. And totally hit singles mean nothing for album success - you need at least 3-4 big streaming hits to be able to translate them into album ‘sales’. Golden, SBIT, Disco have all hit gold and soon to be joined by Tension.

    Have to admit I was expecting a Top 100 mid at least - it had some pre-release social build up, #3 on NMF, lyric video, some ok playlist placements, radio play, Hottest Record R1 exposure, downloads and its released by a current artist in the charts. I know it doesn’t have physicals, a proper video or remixes yet but tbh that is the norm for releases rather than the exception. Video coming on Friday so let’s see what that can do - based on what we’ve seen of it not expecting it to change its fortunes though.

    Love the commitment from TBM - she went from Ireland on Friday, to a show at Ibiza on Saturday and then back to Ireland to perform with Kylie.

    Raye could’ve had this as her ‘own’ song so not convinced she’ll be part of a remix or anything, she seems so focused on her career path that I’m not sure being a feature on a dance track now is where she’ll want to be. :cheer: Great exposure and radio play.
