Ella coming for a future #1 🙏 And RMI back up to #2 on Apple, also a big increase week on week yesterday on Spotify - if that continues it’ll swerve ACR this week 👀❤️

It’s actually not terrible - and Nicki French has based her career on wheeling out her dance cover version of it for the past 32 years 🤣

Some Bonnie albums in the Top 40 too - #14 Ravishing - The Best Of Bonnie Tyler #17 Heaven & Hell #19 Faster Than The Speed Of Night #25 Bonnie

Lee Brennan of 911 following in the footsteps of Kerry Katona with a football track 🤣 #25 Lee Brennan - England In America

So sad - I got meet and greet to one of her last UK tours in 2024 and she was so lovely ❤️

I know sales are low etc etc but pleased it’s still holding up on iTunes - currently #10.

He’s won a Silver Clef award and the ceremony is tonight (also on the list of people that will be performing) - could give it a boost. I wouldn’t be surprised if it avoids ACR next week - sales are low at the top so it will not be as difficult for it to register an increase.

Brandon Flowers is in the UK atm promoting his new solo album - on one of his interviews they spoke about Mr Brightside, surely the label can claim that as active promotion for a reset 🤣

It didnt bomb - I know it ‘only’ peaked at #21 but it’s gone triple platinum in the UK, looking at its current certifications the UK is where it’s sold the most.

I think it’ll be a Wonderwall / Three Lions Top 2 if they progress.

+5 Sam Fender & Olivia Dean - Rein Me In +4 Ella Langley - Choosin’ Texas +3 Harry Styles - American Girls +2 Ariana Grande - hate that i made you love me +1 Taylor Swift - I Knew It, I Knew You -1 Prospa & Cloonee - Free Your Mind -2 Olivia Rodrigo - the cure -3 Olivia Rodrigo - drop dead -4 Olivia Rodrigo - stupid song -5 Michael Jackson - Billie Jean

Not sure it’s got to 2 weeks of decline and then recovered has it?

Been binge watching the new IKAG - actually really enjoying it!

Her Aussie label hinted on insta about 6 months ago that something was coming - not convinced we’ll get anything though.

It was officially announced 6 days ago they had signed to BMG - guessing they’ve probably been with them since last year though getting ready for this new era.

It’s been dropping since last week - I think we’ve reached the point of people moving on from it now. Guessing it”ll be ACR-2 this week.

Spotify / Football Effect #2 Wonderwall #6 Three Lions #74 Vindaloo #118 Sweet Caroline #131 World In Motion #148 Freed From Desire

It’s been a thing for a while and is played in stadiums - seems to have taken off even more this year. Same for other ‘non’ football songs that become associated with the game - Sweet Caroline, Freed From Desire, Yes Sir I Can Boogie etc

Michael Jackson, Baddiel & Skinner and Oasis are lining up for the #1 - by any stretch of the imagination none of those could be called fresh or new. Wouldn’t be against Wonderwall finally getting there but it’s just a continuation of old songs cluttering up the charts.

I mean Wonderwall has charted for 105 weeks so far and made the Top 40 in 2024, 2025 and 2026 so certainly a chart hogger too.

Everyone complaining about a year old song at #1 - you’re about to get a 30 year old one (Three Lions) or a 31 year old one (Wonderwall) Can see Wonderwall getting a huge boost tomorrow in the lead up to the game - the clip of the fans singing seems to be going viral on TikTok.

I think it’ll make it but the England songs will push it down now a few places. They are mad not to have thrown out a CD single!

Poor Michael Jackson getting his 44 year old fresh hit blocked from #1

Said on the radio today that Spotify said Three Lions streams was up 300% following Englands win.

This - BMG love to do midweek releases (Snow Patrol are also signed to them now) and there is really zero need for it at all.
