No, release date was Friday 3rd but none of mine have shipped yet - they still could send them this week but I have a feeling they’ll be sent on Friday for next weeks chart to go for 17 weeks at #1.

All of this! The multi format debate has been raging for years - I multi buy my 2 favourite artists, every format and variation and have done for years and years. As a collector I love having the choice of multiple variants.

Guessing we’ll see some big surges for football songs - Three Lions and Wonderwall will be the front runners, Hey Jude and Vindaloo should benefit too.

Was close between Love train and Hands but went with the latter.

It took us a while to grasp it but Kylie’s been releasing a lot over the past few years - Padam, Padam wouldn’t have troubled the Top 10 I don’t think if the fans hadn’t got behind the physicals and downloads (Same for XMAS - it would’ve missed the #1). I’m seeing the same everywhere too, people telling fans to stream which seems to be steering them away from downloads. The fact it’s currently #16 on iTunes and is 59p isn’t great - with how download sales are it should be #1 / Top 3 at least on fan buys, every sale is gonna count this week!

Dancing was Top 20 for Kylie in the mids - we managed to help it cling to a #38 entry 🤣 The Madge fans really need to get behind the downloads seeing as sales in the Top 40 seem so close atm.

Not bad - really hope the vinyl has sold decently, probably too much to ask for it to go Top 100 when it’s released as streaming will have faded away by then.

Choosin’ Texas new peak at #5 on Spotify Stella Lefty is in the UK next week for promo so hoping ‘Boston’ gets a boost too.

Agreed, even if pre-orders were terrible surely it’s better to get the product out there? I remember when they pulled the HRVY album a week before release too and everything was ready to go! (The signed vinyl can be found for £6 on eBay now 🤣)

It was meant to be released on vinyl, CD etc with multiple bundles - they’ve literally pulled it at the last minute! They must have already been pressed this close to release date so it’s mad that they’ve pulled them from his store, plus HMV and Amazon!

This - without variants we’d just have a Top 100 full of streaming greatest hits albums

It’s always been a thing though (appreciate it feels super extreme on albums atm) - In the physical single era you had CD1, CD2 and DVD CD that were available in week 1 for 3 for £3. In the download era you had artists releasing 10 versions. The stans will always multibuy however I think those that do only make up a small % of overall sales - There are Madonna fans buying all 22 but equally there seems to be far more buying 1-2 copies.

Really interested to see Madonna’s sales - there are 22 physical variants and I’ve seen so many unboxings on insta etc., with people getting 10+ copies. Also the fact that some of the physicals are priced decently (£19.99 for the vinyl etc.,) should help.
