The whole project tanked quite hard (even though it deserved to be a smash), I’m sure Polydor dropped her after the album performance so guess it would’ve been a struggle to get signed to another major.

Agree they could’ve done a lot more but no surprise that Parlophone have essentially done the bare minimum - would’ve loved some extras like demos/outtakes, unreleased tracks. I think the Dom remix will appear when the album is released to drum up some awareness.

Interested to see how The Blossoms perform with their album - there seems to be a bit more hype for this one and the have a pop up shop etc that the band have been at which should help sales.

Seems to be getting pushed so hard everywhere - maybe a 2nd week in the low end of the charts isn’t out of the question!

I think KC will naturally get a push without heavy involvement from Kylie - there are rumours they are pushing another track from the album so some key social media coverage along with XMAS throwbacks from last year could be enough.

Doing ‘good’ sales doesn’t always equal quality music though - I’d debate 26k for a #1 single not being good but of course, my opinion. And I didn’t allude to anything - my opinion is she has zero competition due to the state of new music so will be the industry darling at the Brits because there is nobody else, equally she could sweep the board with competition too but we’ll never know I find it odd that you’re so pressed that I comment on her and will likely continue to share my view on her new releases (great thing about forums), we can’t all stan over the latest female newbie. Remain unworried and ignore my comments about how much of a bore I find her music she’s released so far.

Again, I haven’t disputed her sales or chart positions so not sure why you are mentioning it again, however the fact remains in my opinion competition in her categories for the Brits is minimal. Enjoy her hits and Brit’s and carry on with your stan posts for her and try not to worry about other people’s opinion of it differs from your own - you love her music I think it’s horrendous so we’re never going to agree.

So I can’t have an opinion then? that’s my opinion that she will be the default award winner because the competition is next to nothing so has an easier path to grabbing multiple awards.

Slander her? Get a grip and trust me people ‘slander’ acts on here constantly they don’t like, it’s called an opinion (and while you’re at it take a look at some of your posts about artists - you seem pretty good at ‘slander’ too). I listened to her album, it’s boring, she brings nothing new to the table for me and I personally find much better/interesting artists in the same genre as her far better. I’m glad her album is selling and she’s getting hits - I haven’t disputed that point but it doesn’t change the fact I find her music bring, lifeless and carbon copy of what’s been done before.

She will be hailed as the savior of British music as there is nobody else to award 😴

So pleased Sienna has been booted from #1 - hopefully Taylor holds the top for 2 weeks if they ship the CD singles next week and then Jamie snatches the #1.

Madonna is definitely not appearing on SCD 🤣 They could do something on Amazon around Black Friday if Parlophone want to do something but seeing as it’s ‘just’ a re-issue rather than a new studio album I doubt we’ll get anything as it’s a niche market for the album.
