Was hoping The Script would be secure for #2 - looks like they will be overtaken. If they are it’ll be there first album not to chart Top 2.

Yes I guess ‘These Alarms’ proved that BMG are not interested in singles - another Thursday release and the vinyl weeks later.

Almost forgot about this - the vinyl is released on Friday. Could get an appearance in the mids (very much not expecting it to make the final chart though).

Bonnie Tyler’s service was live streams via her website and a beautiful send off - lots of her music played so might have an impact.

They really didn’t learn from Padam and Tension - surely it’s more beneficial for the label and artist to clock up another Top 40 hit rather than 56-out-54-out. Hopefully the success of XMAS and Love Sendation might make them rethink the next era!

There is no signed Kylie/Madonna single - there was a competition last week to win ONE copy. Also vinyl have not been shipped - it was a mistake, people who ordered the free returns/protection cover got a ‘dispatch’ email for that part, the vinyl have not been dispatched.

I saw a few people say they had grabbed them with the vinyl - guessing they’ll only dispatch when the vinyl does though.

Love the song but it’s a strong batch of songs left.

It seems there was an error - they were showing ‘dispatched’ for those that opted for the return/damage cover and that section was ‘dispatched’. It seems no vinyl have actually been dispatched - so they either are not ready and they will stick with the ‘September’ date or they’ll be dispatched last minute on Thursday 🤣 Not convinced the vinyl will do much as downloads will be down massively this week and we know where we are with streams.

Lots of indie stores have been posting they have limited quantities of Olivia Dean’s ‘Baby Steps’ orange 7” vinyl. Not sure how many have been made available but it might appear in the mids. Collabs for the guest artist always take a few weeks for some reason to catch up on the OCC chart. It was the same with Sam/Olivias RMI and lots of others - seems to suddenly appear after 2-3 weeks.

I think the fanbase will only be invested if it challenges for a new peak - I’m not sure everyone will be rampant to download multiple versions to have it drop from 8-25 rather than 8-38. For most it’s done its job of achieving Top 10 - obviously deserves more but it’s done what we thought was impossible at the start of the week.

Sure that BYL would’ve been a Top 10 and Danceteria a Top 20 if they had. I’ll never understand why Madonna and Kylie’s team are happy with low peaks rather than an 8-38-70 instead.

I hope so - but equally I’m not too bothered with how it does now, if it goes 8-38-64-92 I’ll still be happy as it’s done its job and clocked up another Top 10 for them (Obviously such an iconic pairing deserves much more but in 2026 probably the best we could’ve ever dreamed of!).

Mine got dispatched almost as soon as I ordered. I think they’ll stick with the ‘September’ date for international orders and are prioritizing the UK. Kylie usually shifts 3-5k alone with her vinyl (XMAS was £13 and the other vinyl singles she’s released have been £10 with £5 postage) so I don’t think the price will be a barrier for collectors.
