I was looking back in Popjustice's Disco thread to find particular information, and glanced a post that laughed at someone suggesting that either Kylie or Madonna could ever get a Top 10 hit again, or even a Top 30. Well the latter happened for both, now let's get the former to happen for Kylie *.*

No one had "Kylie gets a Top 20 hit and Madonna gets a Top 30" as 2023 predictions (understandably, I doubt anyone would have been bold enough to consider it possible). Love that it's happened for them!

Yeah I'm the same, it's not like I'll suddenly stop caring about how Padam Padam does if it makes the Top 10. But Top 10 feels like the huge goal and would be a massive accomplishment! So we could relax slightly, and like ___∆___ says, let it do what it's going to do with the general public. We'll no doubt keep streaming, but the hardcore fans are a drop in the ocean in relation to the reach the song currently has anyway. We're just currently trying to make a difference when the sales gaps in the midweeks are so low.

 

If there ended up being any more physicals, no doubt we'll all buy those too :cool:

Voted for Shania, a decent song for what it is considering I'm not a fan of country music, but definitely the weakest here.

This makes me wonder if you've only heard the country version and not the UK Dance Mix hit version? Or is that version still considered a country song at its heart?

Oh they definitely do… when they made their 2011 comeback it was one of the songs they chose to perform on TV to promote their Ultimate Collection. Also given a full length performance on every tour without fail!

I have downloaded the extended video version... that's definitely the first time in probably 15+ years that I've bought a music video lol (when I first got a video iPod I downloaded some, in like 2007).

 

Glad I waited to download more on iTunes, I'll get those done. Also tempted to buy another couple of cassettes. :drama:

Keeping everything crossed that the cassette sales are significantly high enough to make all the difference! :cheer:
