I’ve been struggling to find the appropriate words but my silence is becoming deafening. I’ve said JK Terfling was a piece of shit c**t since 2014 so on her as far as I’m concerned y’all are late. She donated 7 figures to the Unionists, and had a few choice things to say at the time. Clearly the writing was on the way that she was a) socially conservative and b) a wrong un I had hoped that the UK gov would have had done something by now. Seems that was wishful thinking. Scotlands attempts to introduce Self-ID seems to have been the real momentum driver here (and since Scotland started the process numerous non-English speaking countries have successfully implemented it without issue including Germany who did so after the UK gov blocked Scotlands law - which I think says it all. Conservative American money talks, but it only knows English). The UK has for a decade been constantly taking the wrong path, my hope was that under Labour we’d start to find our way back to the correct path but it feels like we’re on the same path but now we’ve a torch to help us see. The ruling technically doesn’t change any law but it does alter guidelines in a way that is a net loss for millions. Not just the vulnerable targets but the collateral damage will be huge. A woman with PCOS who has some facial hair will be accused and harassed for example. The atmosphere of policing this will embolden in Karen’s the length and breadth of the country is what every single one of us should be scared of because they’re not gonna stop now that they’ve made the lives of 0,5m trans people immeasurably more difficult.

Berlins much better than Köln 😉

I don’t get how people 25 years later haven’t understood that if you want good vocals you go to the Sugababes if you want a performance and a show you go to the f***ing west end They’ve never been known for big flashy dance routines and showy numbers. That’s just not who they are
  5. That’s not a bad turn out! I’ll take that I’m not a huge fan of the pink vinyl itself coz that wasn’t a TIMW era colour but I fully agree the gold embossed logo is so well done
  6. The correct answer here is: Pick anything from the One Touch era of the Sugababes Overload will be 25 in September, and Mutya turns 40 this May. They were 14/15 when they not only sung but also wrote this. Like imagine writing this masterpiece at just 15: Beyond words

  9. Im a Social Democrat. So I sit left of centre on a vary many things, believe in fair taxes and a solid state and that many services for the public good eg power water transport should all be nationalised My red flag is integration. Otherwise you build generational problems. You can ask France, Belgium, Sweden and Germany and learn from the various ways in which the state failed in it’s duty of care. It is however a two way street, and your failure to integrate should be grounds for removal. You are in control of your own destiny and if you make the choice not to learn the language or the social norms or the culture then your visa should not be renewed. My social Democrat side of this tho is that refugees should be given work rights almost immediately. The state should support them with language courses and getting their skills recognised and then they should be able to work as soon as they have reached a minimum language standard.

I got up early, was there for about 8:15 and was 36th in line. Got let in fairly quickly as they let a bunch in at once. Found the Sugababes, they had a bunch of copies. They were supposed to have The Veronicas but after an hour there no dice So I did this instead

My target was not early enough 🥲 There’s already like 35 people ahead of me but at least some of them do not look like Sugababes fans. So fingers crossed people

Im going about 20 mins away on the tram from me to my local participating record store. I’ve seen what I want in their online listing that being the Sugababes obviously and also the Veronica’s. They also posted an image online that had a few copies of TIMW visible. So my target is to get there for 8:20-8:30 for the store opening at 10
  13. Not likely soon when Keisha can barely sing the chorus 😅😅

  15. I’ll just repost this as I see we seem to have circled back to the exact same topic
  16. Im so happy they finally released something like this as a single. It represents such an important and incredible part of their back catalogue in all of the best ways. It speaks to some of my all time favourite Sugababes tracks. It’s so not out of place with Disturbed, Colder In The Rain, I Lay Down and so on
  17. Oh they are going to absolutely destroy my credit card with that merch I’m obsessed

  19. It’s defo not as instant as Jungle but it snares you and draws you in. It’s so ethereal with the layers of lush harmonies and Mutya getting to take a high harmony and its just magical they all shine but this is a Mutya song to me, she sounds so heavenly
  20. Here to extend my DNQ streak to three robberies in a row
  21. Amazon doesn’t pay a fair rate of corporation tax for a number of reasons (a misconception is that Amazon pay no tax, they pay billions in wage taxes and consumption taxes like VAT) chief among which is because they can afford to pay people to find the loopholes in tax law, so you wanna tax Amazon, start closing the long standing loopholes. You fix corporate tax evasion by two primary routes. Legislation and cooperation. Legislation to close loopholes and tighten up accounting regulations and what you can legally deduct from your income by way of tax relief and incentives. Personally as a chartered accountant I would be inclined to calculate a lower rate of corporation tax but from higher up the P&L so there’s less chance for accountants to f*** with it. Cooperation is done through things like the OECD to set global minimum tax rates and enforce requirements such as CBCR and work together to stop corporations offshoring revenue in low tax jurisdictions Tariffs ain’t got jack shit with corporate tax avoidance and certainly won’t stop it
  22. 😶😶 You cannot be serious. Do you know how capitalism works? The economic system, particularly in the USA, revolves around building short term shareholder wealth and prioritises that above literally anything and everything else including the long term financial stability of the business in question. You don’t make less profit, not f***in voluntarily anyway. If Tarifs come in, they get passed on, why? Because most businesses are margin based and focus on maintaining or improving that margin. Tarifs push the input costs up, and as a consequence prices rise in order to maintain the margin so they can pay dividends to shareholders (the majority of whom are institutional investors of which a substantial portion is private pension funds). Seriously tho, like how old are you? What do you do/study? Coz you seem to be living in a bubble that is detached from reality
