  1. Im generally quite against private schools as a concept tbh and I don’t see how someone who flounces about this site throwing around accusations about landed gentry and pretending to be the most liberal person on here can be so heavily in favour of private schooling. But then again we all knew that this was a joke act anyway right? Regardless, closing the VAT gap is great, let’s close other loopholes too! VAT is actually the single largest source of Revenue the government has. It raises more than any other form of taxation. By levying VAT on something that previously had no VAT on it you, by default, bring in additional money. That’s primary school level mathematics. You could argue that the impact is overall neutral due to additional expenditure on the state school system but I would counter that that’s the entire f***ing point of this. To raise additional revenue to support an increase in the department for educations budget. Neither having a neutral impact on the bottom line nor your financial illiteracy make this a bad policy.

Supporting Spain this evening because I have absolutely no desire to have to suffer what happens when England win. Currently in the fan mile, the atmosphere of which the England fans are doing their very best to sour, because on the run up to the final the Sugababes are doing a set on the big stage at the Brandenburg Gate. Then I’m going home to watch the match with my boy

My friend emigrated to Canada to be with her other half and they were getting married so I flew out for the wedding and while o was there, given how close it was, I nipped to see some of the Schitt‘s Creel filming locations!!

I do think not having Drum on the setlist is a mistake. I think a live band performance of that would go hard and have such a great party atmosphere at festivals

That’s twice Glasto has underestimated them, and twice they’ve responded by shutting down the field they’re playing in. They’re a huge draw still

Let’s see if this turns out to be anything more than an internet tall tale. I would like to see better backwards compatibility from Sony tbh. It would be nice to streamline the number of consoles I have at home and I’d be more likely to play my old PS3 games if I could play them natively (or emulated or whatever) on PS5. In particular as the PS3 was the last console to see a good Gran Turismo game

Flav is back 🤩 And both Alpines in Q3 🙌🏻 Just wait. Tuned mass damper 2.0 is incoming
  12. Queen of Coach Trip herself is taking on the Masterchef kitchen How’d we think she’ll do?
  13. The experience during IndyRef showed that on the whole, younger voters were vastly more informed on the intricacies of the vote and its consequences than the OAPs who got their info from the mail… And you can get married at 16 in Scotland
  14. Fully in favour of finally dragging England kicking and screaming up to the standards of Scotland and Wales A number of countries actually trialled letting 16/17 year olds vote at the euros this time Every time it has been trialled there’s never been an issue and none of the arguments against have ever really held water. If you consider what we allow 16 year olds to do, and that this is the end of compulsory education, then I think this is also a fair place to draw the voting line.
  15. This GB Energy thing is just not holding water. Promising 68k jobs when Centrica, the current largest energy provider, has 20k. The maths ain’t mathing Along with promising its HQ in Scotland I smell a rat in a Scotland Kit

I’ve seen who is standing for the SNP in my seat and now I’m having second thoughts because I do not want him anywhere near parliament or power in any way shape or form.

As a Brit abroad the Westminster election is the one I’m still allowed a vote in. I’ll be voting via proxy for the SNP because I ain’t ever voting for a Tory, regardless of if the rosette its wearing is blue, red, or an orangey-yellow

Yeah Perez brings so much money with him he’s basically undropable until Red Bull Powertrains is up and running fully and is still hoovering up capital like a coke addict at a talcum factory Ocon was basically the definition of malicious compliance with the team order switch. I’m glad they didn’t reset the order at the end like theoretically they should have. His radio and interviews after was extremely telling as to his attitude and why he was not retained. If he is off to haas good luck to them coz they have no idea what they’ve gotten themselves into
  21. The only real question in Germany is if the SPD or Greens will hold on to enough power to go alone into a coalition with the CDU or if they’ll both jump into it. Everyone is generally very dissatisfied with the Ampel coalition, primarily because it spends more time arguing than actually doing anything. Everything takes far too long and really they’re entirely f***ed by the decision to let the FDP hold the purse strings. Ironically enough, it’s even damaging the FDPs own vote because they’re being so stingy with the cash that the government is basically paralysed at times. It took years for the citizenship reform to pass, the cannabis law, etc BSW stealing a bunch of the vote from the AfD as expected has tempered their growth a little but BSW aren’t exactly much better

I made mine in Feb 2022 when Russia first invaded Ukraine. I live in the closest major „western“ capital to Russia so it’s a prime target. I know how I’m evacuating, where I’m going and how I’m getting there.
