A couple of friends know about this insanity. My BF too. They don’t know the super deep specifics but that it’s a contest and where I’ve got a bunch of music from. My friends have unknowingly been recipients of BJSC music for 18 years. Lady GaGa was a hit in our uni flat months before her uk chart debut. Ella Elle La also a huge hit for us. The bf sometimes passes comment on entries when I’m doing listen throughs (usually along the lines of a wtf is that) I wanna say this is like the third attempt at a BJSC wiki. There’s defo a few threads deeeeeeeeeeeep in the forum pages about this.

Also BJSC took a break in the 20‘s and had like a 3-4 month pause. The current calendar owes its tempo to this pause However everyone thought it was gonna be the final BJSC ever and so there was some weird shit sent to BJSC28. Also famous for the first foreign language winner (Rd’Á national hero Molly Sandén)

The row that finally triggered the veto framework if I remember rightly was actually my entry. I entered Tone Damli - Smash and that triggered another unholy wave of arguments and it was the straw that broke the camels back because the mod team collectively decided we’d had enough of having to have the same fight every month and the aforementioned veto free contest was what we did to give us a minute to create the first framework.

Yes! And it was like irl super messy between Pav and Vulker both if I remember correctly Vulker just like full on ghosted the site and after a couple of days we just had to give up And cancel the semis

That’s never happened. Once the semis open that’s it. Tho we did once veto a track after the semis opened

A DNQ f*** up has happened I think at least 5 times. If it’s caught quick enough we just add them to the final

The BBC was bias before both of them were in position. They’ve been frothing like a rabies infected dog against independence in Scotland for years. Their current shite is to some how use „Scottish“ Labour to build an SNP bad narrative about Labour raising taxes.
  8. I don’t understand the score that New Lexico and Yehesi got. Like. At all. Baffling to me. Herbilore was 11th in my votes and that also deserved more points too
  9. MY RECORD LIIIIIIIIIIIIVES
  10. im not overly fussed about qualifying, I really like my track, I think it’s one of the better ones in the semi (what’s new there) and hope it gets a result it deserves
  11. Votes from Rd‘Á are in, a good 2 hrs earlier than on average

Honestly very surprised He has shown some improvements but I don’t know honestly if it was really worth what they did to Doohan or if he really is any good. Let’s see.

im sure the fact that they fired a bunch of staff for union activity has nothing to do with this. I missed when Edinburgh became the state capital of the 51st state of the union apparently.
  14. Which will reduce property demand, thus reducing rents, and thus fulfilling a Mamdani pledge and helping him get re-elected in the future!
  15. Yesssssssss AI is theft and a giant pyramid scheme for morons Sorry roba but if it makes the final I won’t be even listening to it. It’s nothing personal, I just don’t support AI in any form
  16. absolutely the f*** not that film gave me nightmares
  17. I hope he shits himself to death having a rage shite while tweeting and watching newsman
  18. The bbc is willing a reform government into power exactly as they did a Brexit vote
  19. I beg the yanks to open a dictionary (I will even settle for their incorrectly spelled one) and look up the meaning of the words communist and socialist. The man’s basically a lib dem ffs I hope that he can actually achieve much of what he has promised to do. Delivery will be key for the more centre left democrats to win the messaging and direction of the Democratic Party and hopefully save America from fascism.
  20. What did I do to you Jade to deserve this pain 🥲
  21. there really is something very strange going on this month
  22. https://www.instagram.com/p/DQg8OEbCNZ0/?igsh=YjlmamhhbHU0NzZ0 Mutya has been doing some press for the book! Don’t look like she is holding back at all
  23. I have confirmed but there’s a solid chance of me changing it like 5 times before the clock strikes twelve
  24. This is gonna be brutal for Jamaica. Slow moving is always very bad news for people in the path of the storm but it does maybe buy them a few more hours of preparation and in an evac, every extra second helps Expect this to cause some fun weather systems for Europe in November. Hope now is that it sticks to its track and doesn’t pull no funny business. Haiti is right there and any movement to the right is gonna kill thousands, it’s gonna be bad enough there as is A friend of mine is originally from the costal Carolinas and has said since like Feb that this year would be a bad one coz of sea temps in the gulf and Caribbean. They remained high through the winter and didn’t really cool off. And this is becoming a concerning pattern. The general rule is warmer winter ocean temps brings trouble in the hurricane season. Sadly I think this will only continue to get worse with global warming. We just have to hope for a solid dip in sea temps this winter to give everyone a respite
  25. Sadly yes. A unique part of Scots Law has been removed. Personally I think it should stay. Concerning is the statistically higher number of not provens in rape cases. Some think this reform will push more juries to convict but tbh I think it’s the opposite and the not proven (ie we think you did it but the state can’t prove it) will just be replaced here with not guilty. Not as if England has a materially higher conviction rate
