The Buggles 'Video Killed The Radio Star' brings back memories of first discovering it via playing the dance mat game as a kid lol. A bundle of joy it is.

Round 6 : End Of Year Survivor #137
Going for... Kylie now oops. Good but not one I'd return to and tbh haven't heard it too much like her other singles. All of these are good though.

Round 6 : End Of Year Survivor #137
The Fray depart with 'Over My Head (Cable Car)' and was the lead single except for us where it was the second single following the gigantic hit 'How To Save A Life'. It peaked at 19 and comes from the film Stealth : Music From Motion Picture. The Fray would score one more top 40 hit after this with 'You Found Me' in January 2009 which charted at #35! 6 The Fray - Over My Head (Cable Car) (10/25 votes) 7 Oasis - Sunday Morning Call (14/25 votes) 8 T.I. Ft Rihanna - Live Your Life (8/24 votes) 9 Cascada - Truly Madly Deepy (12/25 votes) 10 Jennifer Ellison - Baby I Don't Care (12/27 votes) Vote your Least Fave!

Ngl surprised for whatever reasoning that Queen went before that dull Wyclef song. Still voting for that.

Round 4 : End Of Year Survivor #138
A somewhat early exit for Queen in 8th with their 1979 top 10 hit 'Don't Stop Me Now'. Coming off the 7th album Jazz and was recorded at Super Bear Studios in Berre-les-Alpes, France. BBC radio 2 listeners voted it the 2nd best Queen song in 2023 after 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. 8th Queen - Don't Stop Me Now (8/29 votes) 9th So Solid Crew - They Don't Know (11/24 votes) 10th Akon - Sorry, Blame It On Me (7/22 votes) Vote your Least Fave!

Chart rewind to this week in... 2003
Didn't realise Good Charlotte charted low top 20 and then jumped to 8. Would have assumed it debuted there!

BJSC 182: Semi-Final Results
aw at Ennea out, not surprising though. Am partial to a lot of hard rock hence have sent stuff before myself. Thanks for the discovery Nine & 3/4!

BJSC 182: Semi-Final Results
Feeling fairly confident in a Q but as per never truly know with hardly a NQ sound in semi 2 really. Cheering on Zanmatony from the other semi.

Both of those are fun tunes. I don't think I knew of the backstory of 'I Don't Like Monday's' either or slipped my mind when I did Bob Geldof as a research project in college. The things you learn etc!

Round 3 : End Of Year Survivor #138
So Solid Crew head off with 'They Don't Know' which was the groups second hit peaking at 3 and followed up the chart topper '21 Seconds'. They would have three further top 40 hits. Notable members who had solo careers thereafter were Romeo, MC Harvey and Lisa Maffia! 9th So Solid Crew - They Don't Know (11/24 votes) 10th Akon - Sorry, Blame It On Me (7/22 votes) Vote your Least Fave!

Round 5 : End Of Year Survivor #137
Gone for The Fray to hopefully save BFS from missing the top half! I do like 'Cable Car..' more than 'How To Save A Life' too.

Round 5 : End Of Year Survivor #137
Oasis got the call and leave in 7th. 'Sunday Morning Call' is the band's third and final single off their 4th album Standing On The Head Of Giants. It peaked at 4 like 'Who Feels Love?' which also charted at that position. The video is a take on Jack Nicholson's film One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and was shot in an old mental institution in Vancouver British Colombia. 7 Oasis - Sunday Morning Call (14/25 votes) 8 T.I. Ft Rihanna - Live Your Life (8/24 votes) 9 Cascada - Truly Madly Deepy (12/25 votes) 10 Jennifer Ellison - Baby I Don't Care (12/27 votes) Vote your Least Fave!

Bop Idol 6: BOP PARTY / Results
Haven't commented since it's finished but good winner, congrats dhwe. Great top 10 overall there. My 12 in French Affair coming 2nd is very pleasing to see. Funny that Wardy and I gave the same songs our 12 and 10 respectively too lol. Would've like Stenchman to be top 20 but is rather a novelty I guess so maybe as best as could do. Not really fussed about 'Rooftop' being 2nd to last as never been a big fan of it anyway but was in line with the party theme and was an old song me and Rich were discussing years back lol. Was reconfirming several times too oops (the other ones would have definitely stood much more of a chance tbh). Thanks for the smooth and fun hosting Rich as always. Hopefully a well earned break from hosting contests for a while now!

Also thinking Submarine 'Why' sounds like the sort of song to do well, as well as A*Teens, Lucky Twice and Kim-Lian.

Not massive on either version of 'Tragedy'. 'Message In A Bottle' is great though. Police were on a hot streak here! 'Sunday Girl' - just another great single from Blondie!
